My Cali Squeeze beer! I may have had a drink or two....
    Stephanie R.

1st time here and it did not disappoint. I had a pulled pork sandwich with cold slaw and sweet potato fries! Wanted to take a pic, but completely forgot! our waitress, Maddy, was awesome. Came with water, checked on us several times. The place has all kinds of different sayings and art to look at. My husband had a 3 meat meal with beans and green chile corn bread. My highlight was the "Cali Squeeze" beer on tap! I LOVED it! Blood orange sweetness and tangy. If you like Blue Moon, this takes it up several notches! We highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner!

We went back here just two days later with a small group of bikers. We had green chili that was quite tasty but the burnt ends were really a hit. Service was great today even with a table of six.

Great server. Fun signs. Good food. Wisconsin cheese curds were delicious. I'm not a fan of pretzel buns, BUT I was pleasantly surprised--it was delicious and the best pretzel buns I've eaten.

It had been a while since I ate at Fork & Fire. The place was quite busy on a Sunday night. I got the 3 Meat Combo. Brisket was very flavorful, juicy and tender, the sausage was juicy on the inside with a real snap to the casing. The ribs were "fall-off-the-bone" tender. I liked the personal brush for the sauce. The cornbread had a real kick to it. As the setting sun came through the windows, our server watched to see if it was in a guest's eyes, and skillfully moved the plants around to shield them.

Very nice & beautiful place. Easy parking. Delicious food. Friendly & awesome service. I like the pork rinds, corn bread & coleslaw.

I was in the complex for an event and stopped in to use a coupon and grab a small dinner to go. I went with the Colorado Style Green Chili and it was so filling and delicious. The guy at the front that helped me recommended it. He put my order in and went back and packaged it up. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Great service and chili. They were out of brisket tonight so it may be worth calling ahead if you're hoping for a certain meat. I'll be back to try more items!

Went here for an event in the party room. The waitstaff was attentive for a large group and they provided good customer service! The ahi tuna salad was really good and my partner enjoyed the 3-meat combo entree. The restaurant has a bar, indoor tables, and an outdoor patio seating area.

Fork & Fire is lit. Early evening saw us drop into one of Emily's parents favorite places to eat. That's Fork & Fire. They said they love the food and the bartenders are great. It was time for Emily and I to put that to the test. We walked in and their favorite bartender was working and promptly seated us. First up were drinks. The first one I ordered just ran out so, instead of ordering something the bartender suggested, I picked out something that I thought sounded just as good. Turns out, it was just okay and then when it came time for a second round, I took the bartender up on her suggestion and profusely apologized for not listening to her first. It was much tastier and closer to what I was looking for. When it came time to order food, we got the fried cheese curds as an appetizer (or were the beers the appetizer?) and the garlic Parmesan dipping sauce it came with was absolutely freaking amazing. The cheese curds were good but that dipping sauce knocked them out of the park. I'm still thinking about it a week later. We all pretty much ordered the Fork & Fire Burger. Maybe it's just a Fork & Fire thing but you can only order it in Rare, Medium, or Well Done. As a Medium Rare kind of person, this was a bit of a miss but when the burger came out, it pretty much was closer to Medium Rare than Medium and that made me happy. It did seem like everyone's burger was some variation of MR to M. Dave was the only one to order something else and that was the Brisket French Dip. It didn't take long for the food to come out since it was pretty quiet in the restaurant at the time we were there. Once the food came out, we all dug in real quick and Emily and I found out even quicker why her parents love this place. The burger was really good and really messy. I got mine with a side of french fries and those french fries were the best thing ever. I don't remember all the fine nuances of the burger due to the two beers on an empty stomach but I do remember enjoying every bite of it. Emily's parents really do know all the best food places around Oro Valley. The price is a bit high but the quality and taste are, in my opinion, the best I had in Arizona on this trip. Stick a fork in me, I'm stuffed.

We sat at the bar taking a break from the craft fair. Great Friendly service from the bartender. Good drinks and fantastic bloodymary. Wife had the artichoke and said it was done perfectly and tasted even better. If you like that kind of thing we highly recommend it.

We ate at Fork & Fire Oro Valley on Saturday. The place is clean and comfortable with good service. The prices are somewhat on the high side but the food is really good. I had the sliced brisket plate and my wife had the smoked pork sandwich.

Finally checked out Fork and Fire and why have we not come here sooner?! Tried to award winning spicy margarita along with the app sampler! I had the pulled pork and David had the brisket- pro tip: add the coleslaw on your sandwich. We were stuffed so took the desserts to go- but a quick sample at home confirmed they are as good as they look! Staff were all super friendly and attentive. Overall a great place for lunch or dinner!

    Box horrible sandwich came in.

Places are successful because they stay the course and do what they do best. Today we went with the four meat platter, perfect amount for two people, brisket, pulled pork, turkey and sausage. With four side of coleslaw, mac and cheese, potato salad and cornbread. All meats are still sauced unless requested "on the side", but not so much to overwhelm the meat taste. Juicy flavorful pulled pork. Delicious smoked turkey. Brisket was just slightly dry but the sauce and nice bark made it enjoyable. The sausage was AMAZING, juicy and packed with flavor. Coleslaw in my opinion, could use a little more "wetness" but it was still delicious. What can I say about the mac and cheese and potato salad, people from the south, Texas to the Carolina's just know how to get it done. The "Texas Sweet Tea", if you are a diabetic do not drink, however this is a true southern tea, it's done the same all across the south, sugar with some tea thrown in. Four meats, four sides and two drinks with tip $50, not bad for two people, I've definitely spent more for food that didn't even come close to this. Once again Smoky Mo you did not disappoint. If you are a BBQ person this is STILL the best of Tucson. Get out and support this small local business!

I ordered a small combo plate of ribs and sliced brisket (sliced with the grain and not cross it as it should have been) and my sides were greens and coleslaw. I did not see the sign that said all of their meats were sauced, but if I saw it, I would not have had them put sauce on anything. As someone who smokes a lot of food, when I taste meat, I want to taste the meat and the seasoning and the smoke itself. The ribs and brisket were very tender, but all I could taste was the vinegar in the barbecue sauce. It completely ruins the meal for me because if I wanted to drink barbecue sauce, I would've asked them for a side of it with a straw. I did not taste the meat, I did not taste the seasoning, I did not taste the smoke. I also believe that if a pitmaster floods their product with barbecue sauce, they are hiding something. So I can't tell you anything about the meats other than everything tasted like barbecue sauce. For the side dishes, I got the coleslaw which was tasty and the greens. You can see the picture I took after I finished the greens and it looked like I had a cup of soup. I don't know why they wouldn't drain the water out of the greens. Since I was the only one in the restaurant, I was also surprised that nobody came up to me and asked me how the food was. They were all busy on their phones or talking to each other than to check with one of their paying customers if they were enjoying their food. The place itself, physically, I liked because it was a hole in the wall type atmosphere. I don't think I would've chosen contemporary hip-hop for my guests to hear. So that's it, I'm giving it two stars only because the tenderness of the meat, but definitely not because of any other flavoring I tasted. I also felt it was extremely overpriced for the portion size. I tried it, now I can write a review and know that I will never go back again.

I was a bit excited to try this. However, I understand now why it's the "best of Tucson". It's because it's literally the ONLY kbbq spot in Tucson. So extremely low bar. I have no idea how this place has so many positive reviews. I was not impressed for the amount of money. 40$/person is insane. I don't understand the menu at all. Why is it 40 for standard but if you want the good meet it jumps 10$ per person? I have never been to a kbbq like that. Let's start the review. -jap Chae was overcooked and way too much sesame oil -fish cakes were too sweet -kimchi was too bitter -corn cheese had too much cream or something. It tastes like a paste. -Ssamjang is extremely weird. It was liquidy. Ssamjang is not supposed to be liquid like since it is a fermented soy PASTE. It was not the right color and did not taste like Ssamjang. Ssamjang is usually a deeper color like a burnt sienna than whatever orange thing they gave me. -grill temp was all over the place -portion sizes were not good Full disclosure. I am Korean. I grew up eating Korean food and being surrounded by Korean culture. The japchae had too much sesame oil. If I can distinctly taste the sesame oil there's way too much. The fish cakes had too much sugar. The portion sizes I thought were small for kbbq. Maybe get two servings out of one order. Also when the grill was initially turned on, it was so hot that our first round of meat pretty much instantly burned due to temperature and the meats were thin. Thank goodness the staff didn't charge us for the left over burnt meat. I'm serious it was CRUNCHY. Also personal take here. At this restaurant I didn't see any Asians on the staff. At kbbq usually you see Asians or Koreans working. I saw no Asians working. So I thought to myself if a Korean speaking person came here the would be in trouble unless the knew English very well. I'm a little concerned about if the owner is even Korean? You might not think it matters but it does. They know how Korean food is supposed to be. Some good things. The galbi wasn't bad. It was the short rib with bone which isn't my preferred form of galbi but it was still good and not too sweet. The pop corn chicken was so good. They give a chunk of beef fat to grease the grill in the beginning which I appreciated. Strip loin was good. Although it was basically a chunk of meat you toss on the grill and cut yourself with scissors. The spicy pickled cucumbers weren't bad and tasted normal. That's about it though. I would never come back here due to the price absolutely not equating to the quality. The staff very nice. But not nice enough to save the food. This place I would expect more 20-25$/person than anything. Not 40$! If the kbbq place absolutely was redone different story.
