Fork & Fire is amazing! We were looking for somewhere to eat and some BBQ sounded fantastic. We started looking around and stumbled across Fork & Fire. We all were extremely surprised, high quality food and an amazing bar to complement the food. The combo plate is the way to go. You get 3/4 pound of an assortment of their meat. I decided to go with Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Pulled Chicken. Their corn bread is a must try and so is their side of baked beans. Staff was so friendly and attentive. Was watching the bar tender, and the were spending tons of time making mixed drinks and cocktails. Very impressed. Beer options are amazing and they have a fantastic happy hour $6 drinks! Decided to grab an early dinner today, so I thought I'd give this place a shot. There were maybe 15 to 20 other patrons in the restaurant. I was seated promptly and my server was there within a couple of minutes to take my drink order. She brought my drink right out, and asked if I was ready to order food. I told her I just needed a couple more minutes to look over the menu. She left for a good 10 minutes and finally returns to take my food order. The appetizer came out pretty quickly, and was really good. My brisket combo was brought out about 10 minutes later -- decent timing. The brisket was good, and the baked beans were alright. The potato salad was way too sweet for me, but I just prefer a salty potato salad, no fault of theirs. The cornbread was just okay. The real issue was over the course of the next hour, where I was basically ignored by my server. She checked in one time after she brought the appetizer, and one time during my meal. Never once bothered to offer me a water or ask if I wanted another drink, which I gladly would have ordered. She walked past my table dozens of times to go back behind the bar, where I was still well within her view but it was as if I was invisible. After sitting there with an empty glass for nearly 45 minutes, I finally had to walk up to the bar -- where a manager was sitting almost the entire time -- to ask my server for a glass of water. From where the manager was sitting, he heard my request and could clearly see my table and empty glass. I have no idea why a manager would let that happen. When I finished my meal, still within plain view of the manager, I sat for over 20 minutes, clearly not touching any food left on the table, yet I was still being ignored. Again, no offer to refill my water or ask how my meal was. Finally the server stops by and asks if I need anything else, and I replied "just the check." My bill came to nearly $50 (before tip, and after tax), that's not chump change. I probably would have spent another $10 on dessert but I was sick of being ignored. I travel for work, so I eat alone 4 nights a week. I'm inclined to think that because I dine alone, some servers decide I'm not worth their time so they focus their efforts on the tables that are going to net them a bigger tip. Well guess what? I tip based on the level of service I receive, which is generous when it's deserved. If this server had been attentive, and had kept my glass full, she would have earned a $10+ tip. But she chose to ignore me, so she ended up with less than half that -- which truthfully wasn't even deserved. Bottom line: food was decent, but the service (or lack thereof) was super disappointing. Your mileage may vary, especially if you're not eating alone. read more

I am extremely picky when it comes to barbecue but this place has it going on. The barbecue ribs are plentiful, tasty and tender The service is spot on. We had to wait about 30 min one evening snd and a lot of the tables were empty but I would prefer that, than a crowded restaurant and poor service . The side dishes were flavorful I took my wife the first time and a friend back the second time. Definitely worth the experience! read more

I now understand why the nearest Texas Roadhouse is almost 15 miles away, because if there was a Texas Roadhouse closer to Fork & Fire, Fork & Fire would go out of business... The bbq here was the worst bbq I've ever had. I got brisket and ribs. The brisket had hardly any flavor. It was moist, but that's it. The ribs were very dry and eghhhh. The side vegetables were bland. The cornbread was just weird tasting. The only great thing on my plate were the sweet potato fries. Just a poor attempt at a bbq restaurant. I'm glad I came here because I wanted to try it out, but I'm never going back. read more

Just the view of the mountains from the parking lot was a great start to this bbq experience. Our server turned out to be the owner's daughter pitching in on a weekend, and she was the best: friendly, able to describe how different dishes were made, attentive. Sending a big thank you to her! The restaurant was clean and not too busy since we arrived mid afternoon when the lunch rush was already over. The pulled pork sandwich was top notch and a large portion. The brisket was apparently to die for, since my friend kept saying he was looking forward to coming back again before we even left. And then the fire bombs...fried mac and cheese with pulled pork. The tastiest heart attack waiting to happen ever! But wait, there's more! We shared the apple cobbler with ice cream, and although we were already full, it was so delicious that it went down too! We've visited twice so far. First visit, I had the pulled chicken sandwich. Just okay; chicken was less than plentiful and the bun was a little stale. Second visit, fish and chips. Very, very good. Fish flavorful and flakey, not greasy or fishy-smelling. Husband enjoyed the brisket dip sandwich. It looked amazing; he would NOT offer me a bite. They have some interesting cocktails and a good beer selection. Also an excellent assortment of desserts made in-house. I enjoy the outdoor seating more-so than inside, as I find the TVs are placed too high for such a small space. But what are ya gonna do? Service was top-notch. The owner popped over to chat with us a bit, to make sure all was excellent. We will be back. read more

I went here Sunday night with my husband while in the area. It was a cold rainy night, but I was immediately cheered up by the dessert fridge at the host stand. They have so many goodies to cream pie like Butterfinger flavor (it was bomb) to pies like the apple crisp, lemon blueberry, and even a brownie s'mores dessert as well!! I have the biggest sweet tooth and got the butterfinger pie and the apple crisp. Both were spectacular! The apple crisp is even good cold! They come in cute little containers, though I wish they weren't tin, so that I could easily pop it in the microwave! Anyway, we were seated quickly, and we waited.. and waited.. and waited. This has been happening a lot lately... well finally a server approached us, let us know there was some sort of confusion with the tables, and and apologized. From then on, Hannah did a great job taking care of us. She was chipper, gave suggestions, and really just friendly. We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer (it's our thing). Very cool that they're 3 flavors (2 of each)! There's avocado cilantro, smoked brisket I think, and a ahi tuna one. They were all good but wish the cilantro taste was more overwhelming. Then I ordered the rib plate with veggies and au gratin & my husband ordered a fried pork tenderloin burger with fries. When my food came out, the au gratin wasn't ready so they brought fries with it, then brought my side moments later. I appreciated them making sure to get the food to me while it was hot and giving me something in the meantime. I thought that was great service from the kitchen. All the food was good. Not sure what type style BBQ this is; but flavor missed the point on several items. The spare ribs, brisket, and smoked sausage were the main course. The spare ribs had a smoke ring and nice bark, but the rub lacked consistency and flavor. The brisket had no flavor at all, although the portions were plentiful and moist. The sausage is your typical Pepperidge Farms smoked sausage that you can grab from your local grocery. The pork rinds however have nice flavor, although ours were slightly overcooked. The service was slower than expected; but not too bad. The location is well designed and has a great ambiance and atmosphere, although patrons carry racist macro aggressions, which is not always in the businesses control. Parking was plentiful. Overall good food is what we were looking for and received mediocre at best. May try again in the future, but not likely for a while. read more

My family and I stopped by here for some late dinner about an hour before closing and we were greeted and sat right away. Service the entire time was great, all staff were friendly and helpful. This is a really large restaurant with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and lots of TV's everywhere so a perfect spot to watch sports. Our food came out pretty quickly and was pretty good. I do wish my sandwich had a little more meat but the flavor was good. The Mac n cheese had a Smokey flavor to it that my son and I were not a fan of but my husband and daughter liked it and the chili dogs were a hit for everyone. I also think it's cool that they serve Dickman's Deli ugly steaks here. Our food was good but I do feel like it may have been fresher if it wasn't close to closing time but overall we enjoyed it. read more

Outdoor patio service for a date night was perfect. The service was great with a very attentive wait staff. Fork skins (house made pork rines) were complimentary. Fire bomb appetizer (deep fried pulled pork mac and cheese balls) were amazing. Husband has the brisket sandwich which we both lived and stole the dinner menu for the night. I went with the st loiuis style rib plate, which was good, but the brisket stole the show as previously mentioned. Also loved the crispy french fries. 5 stars for Friday night dinner out on the patio. Well behaved dogs are welcomed on the patio. Food: Ordered BBQ Burnt ends (beef), side salads, Chopped brisket Mac & cheese and Bread basket. All the food was delicious and fresh. Right amount of smoke in the meat which was tender. Salad was a leafy blend with other typical salad vegetables. Bread basket was two each of: corn bread, Texas toast and dinner rolls. Mac and cheese was right amount of cheese sauce blend to the noodles. Very pleased with the quality! Service: Excellent. Alexandria R was prompt with taking our order and often checked on 'how we were doing' throughout our dinning experience, even though she was busy with other patrons. There were others who help support her by bringing all our dishes out. Ambiance: cozy and very clean. Tables were well spaced apart. And the music in the background was just that, right volume for patrons to engage in a civil conversation. Very pleased with the dinning experience. Was in the area during lunch and found this place on Yelp. I saw the chili dog in the photos from other reviews and knew that's what I wanted. Very respectable chili dog. I've had others at BBQ places and the chili tasted like BBQ sauce. Not here, very good, apparently scratch made, chili. The all beef dog was very good too having great flavor. The fries were cooked to order, nice and crispy. The seasoning was good, but I prefer a salted shoe string fry. I would have preferred diced yellow onion and shredded cheddar over the green onions and cheese sauce. I'm guessing if I had asked, it would have been possible. read more

Unfortunately I did not have the same experience this time around, I came in a few days ago and the food was still great, however the server with short blonde hair (Christian I think) didn't seem to know what she was doing. On top of that the manager smelt like cigarettes which was extremely unappetizing. This place is the best patio in Tucson I think with many games indoor and out. They even are willing to set up umbrella which was so kind of them when we sat down. I do have to say I agree with the other reviews and the price doesn't match the quality. We ordered the ribs (half rack) and brisket. The Ribs are AH-mazing. They were so well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Doesn't fall of the bone but was beyond juicy and some good quality meat. Brisket on the other hand is where it lost the star for me. It was pretty dry and I had to use BBQ sauce just to compensate for the dryness. Personally I like meat flavor I can eat alone with or without sauce like the ribs. The water did have chlorine taste, and wish they would have checked on us a little more. The biggest let down was the food not being hot when it came out. The sides were delicious only thing worth noting is the Mac and cheese was more on the liquidy side but taste was nonetheless good. Overall great place for the summer just not sure if the pricing is worth it especially with the quality of meat I got from the brisket and fact that the food all came out pretty like warm. It would have been five stars if some small changes are made it definitely has potential to be a great place. read more

We ate at Fork and Fire for the first time tonight and it was delicious! I had the St. Louis Style Ribs entree and my husband had the Dickman's Ugly Steak entree. The ribs were tender and flavorful and fell right off the bone. The restaurant was packed when we arrived but we were seated immediately. Our waiter, Sam, let us know that the kitchen was a little backed up and it would talk a little longer to get our food out. That was no problem for us and he checked in on us several times while we waited for our order. At the end of the meal, he even offered a complimentary dessert to make up for the long wait. Sam was polite and attentive and with it being our first time dining at FF, he was very helpful answering all of our questions regarding the menu. Everyone here was very friendly and attentive so we knew that we'd also get fast service! We placed our orders and got it all fresh and hot. Everything was quite tasty and the portions were generous but not overly so which we actually appreciated since we were traveling. Their beer selection included some local beers which was nice for others in our group. The open format style seating was welcoming and cozy so it felt welcoming to all. The staff did a great job of making sure everyone had what they needed - waters, napkins etc... and taking all of our orders. I had the deviled eggs - they were beautifully presented, and tasty with a taste of their bar-b-que to top it off, some freshness as well from the avocado - yumm!
