I was seated at the bar and was served by the female bartender. This was during a TMNT event and there were a lot of new faces outside of the regulars I have seen. Everything seemed like it was fine initially, it looked like she was also helping serve tables between drink orders. I could hear her having a condescending conversation with another employee about the gamers that were coming through that was completely off putting to me. They were not being rude, just a little socially awkward and it made me feel not welcomed during my time there. Players Beware! Apparently there is a new policy in which if you are playing in gamers guild and you do not close your tab out by 9pm it automatically charges your card (which is fine) BUT they automatically take a 20% tip! Like hello? They do not tell you on the website, it is not listed anywhere on the tables, nor did the food runners "servers" tell you to close the tab. Like honestly to me that is theft... so just be careful and close your tab out immediately. When I went to talk to a manager after I noticed my card was charged the staff said at 9:05 pm there wasn't a manager on duty to even talk to and gave me a generic email to message. Like kinda lame. Five of us met here because my sister is gluten free & saw it advertised. We had the nicest & best service. Service was a bit slow because it was a Saturday & it was really busy. My sister & I had the fried shrimp . You get 6 or 7 nice sized shrimp in a small basket. Gluten free & delicious. I ordered fried mushrooms which weren't gluten free & were shared (but not by my sister). Yummy. My son had the French Dip burger & loved it. My nephew had the chicken parm sandwich - loved it. I just enjoyed a meal Forks & Boards and loved every minute of my experience. I went with friends but not with the intention to play a game. When I go back, I will definitely enjoy that part of what they offer. We went for dinner and drinks and neither disappointed! First of all, this place is enormous yet very inviting. We were seated immediately and offered ample time to browse the drink and food menus. Our server was delightful. She was very attentive without being in our face a lot. I ordered the Cuban Burger with fried pickles as my side. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. Oops...I forgot about my drink. I think it was called a Strawberry Fields hard cider. On a hot summer day it went down beautifully. It's crisp, cold and full of flavor. I will absolutely have that again when I go back. One of my friends had the fajitas and said they were good. My other friend who needs gluten-free options had a lot to choose from which was very cool! I believe she decided on a chicken sandwich but I can't be certain (I wasn't paying attention nor did I ask). She did comment on how much she liked it. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent. On the way out we noticed the Gelato case. I will be visiting thst when I return. The only possible bummer is thst they don't open until 3:00 on weekdays. I would love to see an earlier opening that would accommodate a lunch crowd. Please check this delightful place out. First time here and we all loved it. Shannon was a wonderfully fun server and we were thrilled with all of the games that were available for us to play while we waited! We were told the burgers were made with lean meat so they wouldn't be greasy....I think I like greasy burgers better, but we were told ahead of time. The fried pickles were really good! Oh, and the game room on the other side? I've never seen anything like it! So fun for the gamers-it was packed on a Saturday afternoon! We will definitely be back!! read more

this place is beautiful! it's nice and clean, there are several seating areas with outlets that are perfect for studying, there is gamers guild attached on the other side so you can also eat while playing games. THEY HAVE GELATO ICECREAM!!! the staff and servers were so friendly and even gave me a card for a free appetizer! please come check this amazing place out! would really like if they were able to stay open as late as possible, it's hard for there to be a night life in north phoenix and a place to study in general when other places close. loving this concept! read more

I took my daughter to lunch here. They had only been open for two weeks so I know sometimes those places need to work out the kinks. That being said, the food was decent nothing to rave about maybe slightly overpriced but given today's economy, I don't think they did bad with the pricing. But they had a menu for non-alcoholic drinks And they were not palatable. And I paid $20 for a drink. I couldn't hardly drink and it didn't even have any alcohol on it. The service was very friendly and pleasant and I genuinely hope the place goes well. However, they definitely need to do something about their pricing further Because they won't survive with prices like that. The alcoholic drinks were even more expensive that's ridiculous. read more

We took our grand opening flyer in to receive an appetizer with our entree purchase. The vibe in here is cool & this place is huge. We experienced some opening jitters, and was told there's some items that are still waiting to come in, so we'll go back in a week or two and try more. I tried a moon berry cider on tap which was good, and the mushrooms. They were pretty tasty for a fried mushroom appetizer. The club sandwich and onion rings were beyond my expectation. There's a spicy jam and thin apple slices on it!! Where the speed of service, confusion of the staff, and ordering system lacked in this experience, the food itself definitely made up for it! After eating we walked around gamers guild and that was pretty cool, I can see us having a family night here playing games and eating. We're looking forward to trying out more items on the menu & hopefully some yummy cocktails soon. This place could be our new go to for brunch as well once everything is up to speed. read more

Monument Hobbies was in need of a space to hold a quarterly event for our team of 26, and Gamer's Guild and Forks and Boards more than delivered. We reserved the Gamer's Guild Member's Lounge for an afternoon, and it was the perfect spot. The Forks and Boards staff handled our lunch, and they were super accommodating and provided outstanding service to us in the Member's Lounge (the food tasted great, too!). After our meeting, we moved out into the gaming area for some fun. It was so nice to have the option for food, a meeting space, and gaming all in one location. We received more positive feedback from our team about this event than any other, so we will definitely be back. We went and were really disappointed... first off when you walk in you walk directly into an ice cream/ bar counter nobody tells you where to go to be seated, once we found out where to stand to be seated there was one server working and it took us about 15-20 min to get seated then 30-40 min to get our food and then even longer to get the check. The food was probably a 4/10 it was like carnival food. Just very odd. The bathrooms were so uncomfortable you have to walk down a hallway where all the bathrooms are labeled "gender neutral " I was taking my child to the bathroom and had to go in a hallway and wait for men to come out of the bathroom, and stand by them when they washed their hands very very weird. The only cool part about the restaurant was the games they allowed you to use. This place needs some work. I wish this place was decent as I was excited how close it was to our house and that they had GF options, we will not be going back. read more

We went since my niece, who is into games, wanted to go. I had no expectations. We went when they first opened for brunch at 1000. This place surprised me! The restaurant is pretty big once inside and ambiance has a cool vibe! Lots of screens on the wall that gives it a bar feeling when first walk in but we did not feel out of place even with an infant in our party. Our party of five adults ordered loaded fries, waffle sandwiches, strawberry waffles and the margarita chicken. All were good! Looks like they had some ice cream or gelato bar at the entrance but unfortunately, we did not try. The best part was the service. Our server Shannon was the best from when we walked in! They did not have some items we wanted but she was very apologetic and suggested other things. She was attentive without being intrusive. When we were done, my niece enjoyed going over to their huge store attached to the restaurant (that's why we missed the ice cream bar-exited from a different door!). We bought games from the store and decided to try their restaurant for lunch. We sat down and it took 20 minutes for a waiter to come by. There were only a few tables filled. The older lady finally came by and said she was the assistant manager and was too busy because she told people to bother her instead of the managers so people keep asking her everything. She finally took our order said food would be out in 30 minutes. Daughter was starving asking for food looking at everyone else being served around us and when we finally saw her again after waiting 45 minutes we asked her when our food was coming out and she said she will check. We waited another 10 minutes and she came back to take the order of people who just sat down across from us and ignored us. Our two year old was very upset and we were also hungry so we dropped the cash payment for our drinks that we never even got refilled since there's no waiters around and left. I informed the hosts that we're just sitting around the front desk and their response was just "oh no." Worst customer service ever and we couldn't even try the food. Do not come here to eat because they will come up with every excuse to why they can't get your food out. read more

Had to wait an additional 15 minutes after we got our food for silverware to eat it with. Mixed drinks have very little alcohol definitely not your standard 2oz pour. first time visit. they were insanely rude. i brought a friend who is a nurse and served as a medic in the marines. she was discharged due to a brain injury. she now runs multiple transition homes for people with eating disorders, vets with injuries and PTSD and victims of domestic violence. they refused us service the second we sat down. we literally didn't even order water yet. i had only introduced her to my friends and got menus. we were not rude and did not cause any problems and tried to reconcile multiple times. the staff and management insulted us many times and tried to act like we were the problem. claiming some right to cut people off when we have not had any alcohol there or anywhere else. even when we tried to move on and talk about order something else like food they insisted on being insulting and they wouldn't even talk to us like we were people. after humiliating my friend on her first meeting with my other friends. she was upset, but she wanted to hang out with my friends anyways. so we moved over to the gaming section and even bought a couple of games. we didn't make a scene. we just went about out business and started playing a game. they then insisted on kicking us out saying they will call the cops. they are ANTI DISABLED and ANTI VETERAN and i strongly suspect they prejudged her and just decided to harass her. i bet they looked at her and decided she was a right wing person when she very much isn't and decided to abuse her based on their bigotry. i cant wait for them to respond to this comment with their LIES. because that's how shitty people like this act. every person in my very large group i was with was beyond stunned at their behavior. they were all offended. this was well beyond offensive and inappropriate! read more

Great service and food. I ordered the fried mushrooms as a starter and my friends and I agree that they're the best we've had in the Phoenix area. Ordering was extremely easy as all we had to do was scan the QR code and the food was brought right to our table. For my entree I had the crispy chicken sandwich and it was great. The breading was crispy without the oily taste that some fried chicken sandwiches have. Overall it's a great dining experience at very reasonable prices. For the dessert I had the dirt and worms (chocolate mousse and gummy worms) and it was just the right size to go with the starter and entree.
