Greetings, Tonight I…read morewent to this store to buy a few things. The cashier asked me if I wanted a bag and I said no. She proceeded to place my things in a bag anyway. I said again that I do not want a bag. She took my things out and the screen still registered the $.07 charge, I told her that it is still on there and she said again that she took it off and I took my card out of the terminal and she STILL did not remove the charge. This is where things go wrong because I told her the charge was on there and she took it off. Of course she has a line and I was not making a scene so I left and placed my things in the car and went back in. When I came back in her and the customer were laughing that I came in because she KNEW she charged me. She asked why I had returned and I told her but rather than be humble about it she asked her manager to "confirm" whether she removed the charge. I got out of line to speak with the manager only for her to say people make mistakes and the woman went in her pocket to offer me a quarter. I told her that I did not pay my money to her but to Dollar Tree and after calmly explaining why it matters to me that the cashier should not have charged me when I asked her not to in the first place. I am typing all of this to say, Dollar Tree should offer training to their staff on a regular basis because it is unacceptable to handle your customer (me) any kind of way.

I will say that if you buy some of their clearance meat don't just look at the price but check out the meat because sometimes it shouldn't be sold in my opinion and just trashed. I have to say though I have found some great meats on clearance. They have some great thick bacon but the price is just so high I know it's over 10 dollars for 2.5 pounds. They usually have some fresh veggies at a reasonable price. I don't really buy can veggies but they do have a good selection of frozen veggies. They also have chips at a great price and they are tasty. You do have to bag your own groceries and if you don't bring your own bags you will be paying .18 per bag(that is the lowest price) They also have bags for .24 and $1.49 for a cloth bag, so I would bring a bag to save money.
