Roger from Formosa Electric, a family-owned small business, is quick and professional in following up on Yelp. He visited in person to assess the work: changing a sub-feed line (the big wires cable between the main panel and the sub-panel in the house) eaten by rodents. He provided multiple bids on different electrical jobs, including the sub-feed replacement, main panel replacement which was deemed a fire hazard, whole-house surge protection, ATS installation for a generator (due to the poor service provided by PG&E despite their exorbitant pricing). Despite not being the cheapest on the market, due to his excellent track records, I hired Formosa. Roger and his partner arrived on-time on the scheduled date, sober. Roger explained and showed me what he was doing. They changed the main panel, sub-feed and installed the surge protection in record time. Their work passed the City inspection. They had to do some cuts in the drywalls for the sub-feed line: they made small and minimum cuts that they patched once done. The stucco work looks great to seal the main panel outside and matched the exterior wall painting. They cleaned after themselves, I barely know they were on-site. Formosa will come back for the next jobs very soon: installing an ATS for the power generator, and a line to transform the wood fireplace into an electrical one.
