I had a Teflon clear coat applied on my 2003 GMC eleven years ago and it still looks great. It's always been parked outside and when it rains, the water still beads off of my truck like it just got waxed. I just bought a new car and I'm taking to the Tech Formula Salon for a Teflon coat later this month. I live six hours north of SD and I'm driving down just to get the job done. That's how much I believe in these guys. If you plan on owning your vehicle for several years or if you like to "baby" your ride, then do yourself a favor and get the Teflon sealant for your four-wheeled friend. Even after Bob left, the reigns now in Mario's hands, Mario has maintained the same caliber of workmanship, attention to detail, quality, and reasonable prices for automotive detail and car care services. So I went to this place based on Al V.'s recommendation here. I first went to their OLD location located in the address seen above. I arrived on time to their old address and everything was closed up. I waited another 5 minutes before I called them up and they told me that they moved from that location and they are having a hard time getting the yellow pages and internet updated. Their correct address is 7352 Trade St. San Diego, CA 92121 Anyway, this place is very clean and everyone is very nice and honest. Granted I spent more than I would have liked to, but that is not their fault. It turned out my car had a tint on it already (possibly UV only) and I needed that taken off before they could put the tint back on. It did extend the time longer, but in the end it is well worth the wait. Their waiting room is top notch and has a big screen tv and a nice leather couch. read more

First and foremost. They have moved back to the 8448 Miracrest Place address. 858-455-tech. I had paint protectant applied to my 2011 Corolla on 7/30/11. The process takes while - 4hrs as they are very detailed. Mario gave me a ride home and picked me up after completion. I live about a 7-10 minute drive from the shop. This was a great service. I don't know how I would make use of 4hrs in a garage, if I had to stay. There is now a beautiful gloss on the car and the interior was cleaned and vacuumed. The car is so shiny, you can see your reflection. Washing dead bugs, sap and dirt off the car will now be a cake. I have used their service before on a 2001 Camry. The finish was still beautiful at the time when the car itself was totaled in 2009. The work is worth the money. They do everything there and do not source things out such as car washing. read more

I took my brand new Jeep to the Burning Man festival in Nevada. That event takes place on a dry lake bed (called the Playa) where dust there is as fine as talcum powder. Long story short, the playa dust gets every ware. My new truck came back looking like an ancient artifact. The exterior was caked with dirt and fine dust was embedded in every crack of the interior. I was sure it would never be the same - ever. But now its as good as new thanks to the guys at Tech Formula. Mario did a great job on a 2006 Toyota Sienna that I just purchased. The car had low miles, but it needed some attention on the cloth seats and carpet. After reviewing the work Mario and his team did on the interior, my expectations were exceeded. The cloth on the back of the seats even had patterned lines from the steam cleaner nozzle - very professional. I also paid Mario to 'clay' the outside of the van, which left the exterior paint very smooth. I went home and waxed the exterior myself with Z Best car wax (the purple stuff - you can get it at the San Diego Fair). (It's great car wax by the way.) I bought my 17 yr. old son a 1991 black Cadillac Seville for his first car. I first had it detailed at the local car wash. BIG mistake. These clowns had swirl marks and what looked like spider webs in the sunlight all over the car. I took it to Mario to see if he could save her.
