I hate leaving negative reviews, especially at Kosher establishments since there are so few in the area, but this place now warrants it (in the hopes that management will make a change). I've ordered from Fortune countless times over the years. In the last year their service as well as their food has declined significantly! To the point where it seems that the people who work there try to make it abundantly clear that they really just don't care about the customers. The food quality is not what it once was and that is very disappointing considering the prices don't equate to the poor quality. The interesting thing is that the Fortune in Rego Park (who I understand has the same owners) is much much better. Hopefully the people at this location get their act together because based on the other reviews they just lost 2 more customers.

It is ok to make mistakes. However it isn't ok to not apologize, be condescending, and have an attitude. The person Mazal on the phone very unprofessional. These folks made a mistake with my order a while after I called asking to replace it, my order was still at their restaurant and was told that that there's a delivery order ahead of me. That would have been a total order time of 2 hours. So I asked to just keep their order and asked for a refund on Grubhub. I'd be a lot more inclined to try them again if Mazal was a more courteous on the phone. I will not be ordering again from these people.

I'm not sure what's more surprising: me not discovering this place sooner or the fact there is only one other review here. Beware this is a long ass review for Chinese takeout so A buddy and I decided to stop by here after chilling around St John's (two blocks away). Location: tiny spot with about a total of 5 tables. If you have room to sit, do so but this is primarily takeout chinese. Price: We moved towards the dinner combinations, which varied between $12-$15 bucks. As far as they go, it comes with rice, egg roll and soup. There are other items on the menu, standard Chinese take out selection. Along with this, they also have fresh sushi on premise. There is (very) limited availability (two seats next to chef) so call ahead. Food: I enjoyed the food a lot, though I'm sure the pictures will not do justice. All food felt freshly prepared and did not have the signature Chinese-takeout msg poured all over nor the oil. Even though that's something I'm guilty of enjoying, it's nice to eat this and not feel too guilty. Quantity is up there, well worth the price and none of us were able to fully finish. I recommend their beef lo mein and kung-pao chicken. I've tried one or two else but I enjoyed those two in particular. Service: for takeout, this was standard. No issues whatsoever and the people were honestly really nice and helpful. We requested to sit in after we ordered for take out originally, once we found an opening and they were fine with it. It seemed very much like a kind family business catered towards locals. I would've gave this 4 stars as nothing stood out amazingly to reach a five, but the fact that we are comparing Chinese takeout, the ladies helping were kind and the food was clean and didn't feel funny afterward, I'll bump to a 5. Will most likely pick something up again for quick takeout * fully glatt kosher * $10 credit card min

They have a larger dining room that's perfect for big groups, so getting everyone together is comfortable and stress-free. The food is solid, classic Chinese comfort fare -- flavorful, satisfying, and yes, unapologetically rich in MSG (the good kind that makes everything extra tasty). The Fish Fillet Home Style is always a hit with the younger crowd, and the Double Cooked Pork is another standout -- think lechon-style pork belly tossed with plenty of vegetables in a savory brown sauce. That combo somehow gets the kids happily eating their veggies too. They also do Hot & Sour Soup right -- nicely balanced with the perfect tang and heat. The sautéed snow pea leaves with garlic is a staple order for us, and the pan-fried noodles are consistently delicious with great texture. The crispy garlic chicken was surprisingly good as well -- super flavorful and cooked just right. Portions are generous, making it ideal for sharing family-style. The staff are friendly and quick, and the place is clean and well-kept, which makes dining there even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a reliable, no-frills spot for big group dining with satisfying dishes, Wo Kee delivers every time.

They still have clear partitions between each table post COVID. Front of house service is mediocre, it's hard to get their attention even when there are only 2 tables of guests. The wait time for food is over 20 minutes long during slow foot traffic. We ordered the dimsum and portions were larger than your typical ones you get. Flavor was delicious and if you need sauces, there are complimentary chili crisp oil, soy sauce and white pepper. Use at your own discretion as the condiments are not labeled with best before dates. Bathroom is accessible. Cleanliness and odor could use some work. Overall, I suggest ordering ahead of time or do a quick take out order if you are on a time crunch.

I was one of them when I first visited this restaurant about a decade ago and did so during my recent session again. Though they may be one of the best options for traditional Chinese food in the area, comparing them to restaurants in Flushing would land them on the lower end of the spectrum. With that said, they do certain things relatively well, namely the dumplings. I prefer their pan fried dumplings over the boiled because of the skin texture. For some reason, the boiled ones felt a bit tough and chewy, while the pan fried dumplings were better, especially since it has a crispy crust on the bottom. Fillings I have tried are chive & pork, as well as cabbage & pork. Both were quite good and stuffed to the brim. I also do like their wontons with spicy sauce, which has a shrimp & pork filling. Also plump and juicy, these wontons are quite delicious. The sauce is not really all that spicy, but flavorful. As for other items I have tried, most were not bad but below average. That includes the Dan Dan Mein, Beijing Style Noodles, and the Sesame Pancake with Beef. One thing I would recommend to skip would be the Hot & Sour Soup, which was neither hot or sour. If you are in the neighborhood and craving some dumplings or wontons, then seek out this little shop. However, if you want any other types of Chinese food, I would advise you to skip.

It's changed hands several times over the years that we've lived in the neighborhood, but the food has been pretty consistent. There's not much variation in Beef & Broccoli, Sweet & Sour Pork or Fried Chicken Wings. What has changed with the current owners is that they've tried to branch out from the cookie cutter Chinese takeout by expanding into other Asian cuisines, such as Thai. The main printed menu still has the standards, but new hand written menu signs hang from the wall with dishes such as Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice (*w/ choice of protein). We still like to get our regular Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, our favorite Cold Sesame Noodles, Sesame Chicken (or Sweet & Sour or General Tso's) & Moo Goo Gai Pan. I like to add a large quart of Wonton Egg Drop soup for good measure because I love soup. It's Chinese-American comfort fast food, not something my mom would make, but it gets the job done quick. Pretty much any size order you throw at them, it will be ready in 20 minutes for pick-up. Those blazing hot woks are no joke. And you get a free can of soda for every $25 spent. You can also get a 32 oz quart of their homemade iced tea that is super sweet, but is a great thirst quencher in the summer. They take credit card payment (not sure which ones, probably Visa & MC) without additional fees and they are closed on Mondays.
