They still have clear partitions between each table post COVID. Front of house service is mediocre, it's hard to get their attention even when there are only 2 tables of guests. The wait time for food is over 20 minutes long during slow foot traffic. We ordered the dimsum and portions were larger than your typical ones you get. Flavor was delicious and if you need sauces, there are complimentary chili crisp oil, soy sauce and white pepper. Use at your own discretion as the condiments are not labeled with best before dates. The only place in the area that makes a good char siu (Chinese roast pork), soy sauce chicken, and crispy pork right. The ambiance is a bit lacking as there are a lot of decoration clashes...but that's what makes a Chinese food joint great, right? The service is also very friendly and fast which is a plus. We celebrated my aunt's surprise birthday dinner. Ken, who took my reservation, was awesome in setting us up in a private area away from the crowd. Service was great, no complaints. They were conscientious in placing and serving the food away from the baby, so there are no accidents. Hence, the five-star review. Food was another story. Personally, I was not impressed because I've been eating in other places, and I've had better dishes. We had the following: House Special Soup - was tasteless, which means that it's ideally healthier, but the white pepper and red vinegar were necessary to complete the soup. Roast Duck - greasy and oily that other people we have eaten in Crispy Garlic Chicken - this was actually good. Fried Flounder - salty Crab Fried Rice - tasted OK Seafood Pan Fried Noodles - looked promising but deceivingly uneven ratio of seafood to noodles was disappointing. Snow Pea leaf with Garlic- salty, had better elsewhere. Short Ribs - disappointingly small portion for the cost of the dish. We're now a regular at this place. Their food is delicious and the serving is worth the price, even the lunch special portion. They have a chili condiment that go well with all dishes and the great thing is, some menu are customizable. For example, we often order the fish maw and crab soup but substitute the fish maw with tofu. Maggie always helps us and recommends different dishes to try and her recommendations are always spot on. Some of our favorites include mapo tofu, house special noodle (tip: ask to mix it with vermicelli), fish casserole and golden fried rice. Honestly, I've only ever thought of Wo Kee as mediocre. It'll do in a pinch, but given the option, Flushing definitely has 10x better. Over the years I haven't been impressed, which has kept me from coming back. I came by recently to grab a hot & sour soup as a quick snack and to satisfy a craving, and it missed the mark in so many ways. $7 for a hot & sour soup is super overpriced, but for a really good one, I'd gladly pay that time and time again. Wo Kee's version is... confusing. To start, the soup had an excessive amount of cornstarch, resulting in a hot goopy texture with an added bonus of cornstarch nuggets throughout. The flavors of the soup were neither hot nor sour - it looked like a last minute effort to convert an egg drop soup. Ingredients were also confusing - I found chunky pieces of chili pepper (never seen this before lol), water chestnuts instead of bamboo shoots, and a little sprinkling of wood ear mushrooms. There were no hints of either white pepper or chili oil spice. It seems like a bit of a harsh review over soup... but it kind of sums up my previous experiences with dining here too. Then we had triple meat (pork, chicken and beef) deep fried noodles. Again, tasty and crunchy and difficult to make at home. Last was the eggplant, pepper and tofu dish. Served on a cast iron plate so it's served hot (from heat). It's been awhile since I was so please with delicious and authentic tasty Chinese food. To top it off, the size of the dishes were big so you definitely feel that you were getting your money's worth. Reliable spot! We have been going here as a family since before the pandemic. Love the spicy sliced fish and now the crispy filets, sweet and sour fish and the fish maw soup. The owner or store manager is in often and the staff are kind and attentive. I never order my "usual" Chinese take out orders because this place offers so much more. I wouldn't really go here for fish or shrimp with broccoli vibes per se. This has more of a restaurant feel rather than American Chinese take out. read more

Above average Cantonese with accessible street parking. I use to always get roast pork over rice take out but this time decided to dine-in and to be quite honest, the entrées were quite large and tasty. The braised fish fillet and tofu casserole is my all-time favorite Cantonese dish and basically I try that at every new restaurant and Wo Kee didn't disappoint. This place is as close as you can get to authentic Cantonese food without going to Manhattan or Flushing Chinatown. Their roast pig is DELICIOUS! Just the right balance between lean meat and fat and the crackling skin is to die for. Their soy sauce chicken and cha siu is good too. Rice dishes, lo mein, rice noodles, etc. are all good and the portions are generous. We usually drop by and get takeout and they do a really good job packaging the food. Very important: for soup noodle dishes, they put the soup in a separate container so the noodles don't get mushy. I highly recommend this place. Go! You'll be glad you did. read more

We ordered as follows: - The roast duck noodle soup (wow, this was amazing.. so flavorful and a ton of meat). - Pork Buns (doughy, just how I like it. I could eat a dozen of these) - Shumai (I'm not the biggest fan of shumai in general so I only had 2 but my friend loved them) To wrap things up, the portions are large and the food comes out relatively quick. Don't know if this is the normal amount, but the portion seemed pretty small. Mostly carrots, peas and celery. Very little chicken pieces. A good portion of cashews though. But the portion size of the overall dish didn't make it worth the price. Prices were average compared to other places. Portions sizes were generous except for the chicken with cashews. I usually like the food at this establishment but I ordered a dish that was sub par and way beneath my expectations. I ordered chicken and broccoli and the broccoli was not stir fried with the chicken. In fact, the broccoli had no flavor. There was no sauce at all in the dish. Also, the chicken was way overcooked with a rubbery consistency. Was not happy with the meal. Would not recommend. We called to give the restaurant feedback but they said that's the way they make it for takeout. I can get this dish cooked in a pretty standard way at any other Chinese restaurant. Someone came to take our order just right when we were about to leave. We ordered: Peking duck - half duck w/ 6 buns (not enough) - duck was good (cut thick - I would have preferred thinner. It was hard to bite) and the buns were partially frozen. West Lake Beef soup, Sauteed String Beans with Olive Leaves - both good. Dim sum: chicken feet and youtiao. These were good as well The very long wait was what made me rate it at 2 stars. The dim sum was good, but the way the peking duck was made was not. I've eaten here a few times and always enjoyed it. Today I went with my son for lunch. Parking was not a problem we got a spot by Dunkin Donuts. We stared off with juicy pork buns (soup dumplings) they were very good and served with a a black vinegar and ginger dipping sauce yummy, we also had the salt and pepper squid which was good but not great. We followed with our waitresses recommendation of the bbq over rice which was really very good. Duck, pork and fried pork belly. My soon chose the bbq chicken over the pork belly. We really enjoyed the lunch. Our waitress was super! She enjoyed her work and was very good at it. I would strongly recommend trying this place. It offers great food with nice people working there. It's a convenient place to get food when you're craving rice and Chinese food. I only had to wait 10 minutes for my order of sesame chicken when I went there to order it. Yes I did get there before 4pm in order to get the lunch prices (it was going to be my dinner). After 2 hours, the food was still pretty warm as they pack the whole order in a paper bag (so nothing spills out) within a plastic bag. They did provide chopsticks too (yayy). Some pieces of the chicken were moist while others were super dry. Flavor wise it was a bit salty. The broccoli that it came with were limp and not "fresh" tasting (or maybe my standards for vegetables are high thanks to my grandma's homecooking). What I love about finding this place is that they have the roast pork, bbq pork and chicken combo over rice. I always thought I would have to travel to the heart of Flushing in order to get my fix on this. The pork skin was really crispy but the pieces were unfortunately just full of fat. The chicken was really flavorful but I gotta warn you to be careful of the small chicken bone fragments though, you can really choke on those.
