I've only been a dine-in customer once, and it was a nice experience. My family and I have ordered from them on numerous occasions, but each time there was something wrong with the order. They often don't read the order instructions carefully. As of my latest order, they didn't listen to the order instructions again. When I'd called, the staff member seemed nice about it and apologized, but apparently they "charge extra" and don't often do hand rolls without rice. Very common in all other restaurants I've been to. Not here. I've ordered sushi from dozens of places over the last few years and this is the first time I've ever heard these things in my life. I wouldn't order from here again. I disregard restaurants that not only don't read order instructions but go out of their way to charge for every little thing. Don't get me wrong: I'm happy to pay for a good meal and service, but the little needles acts like extra charges or not bringing it correctly make me not want to be a repeat customer. Their food was definitely good, but generally not worth the price. I feel like they're best for the dine-in experience. Late night order was disappointing. I placed a pick up order a little after 9pm. I ordered one of my favorites, drunken noodle with shrimp and my shrimp were so mushy and soft that I was scared to eat it. I spent over $100 for my family of 4 and no one's food was up to regular standard. It was as if they saved the scraps that had been out all day and placed them in my order. We came in as they were one hour away from closing. We were celebrating our daughter's performance for the pep squad. At first I debated whether we should sit at the tatami area or get a table that's regular. We wound up settling on the tatami area since our party was a group of seven they were going to charge 20% gratuity regardless so we may as well have the authentic Japanese experience seating. Service was excellent, especially given our late arrival. We quickly decided what each group was sharing and proceeded to order. All had a miso soup and one person had a tom kha. We shared a kani salad, fried calamari, sushi sandwiches (they were excellent), dragon roll, and the VIP #1 had an avocado roll. For our group, we got Philadelphia rolls, volcano roll, and finally a rainbow roll, VIP #2 got an avocado roll also. Food came out elegantly presented, we had a bunch of hungry kids that ate fast and furious. Portions were great and we felt very satisfied. Overall, nice place, cool seating, at the price point though, I would consider an AYCE place. Great atmosphere tho. read more

Mira Sushi never disappoints. Their food is always on point whether you're getting sushi, rice, or even a soup. They have an awesome happy hour too and drink specials daily. I usually go at odd hours between lunch and dinner time so it never is too busy. But the ambiance is still perfect. The service is also fantastic. Very attentive, friendly, and very on point. They always ensure you know what you're getting and even during the day time, they will offer to make some drinks less strong if you want to enjoy the happy hour but not leave drunk. I went to Mira Sushi because the ambiance and floor seating booths made it promising. I ordered shumai and a special roll as well as some of my usual rolls like Philly and Spicy Tuna. The food was nothing fancy. It tasted like sushi you would get at a more casual chain so the higher prices did not make sense. But, nothing bad enough to warrant a complaint. I've been to this spot many many years ago, back when it was under different management. With a name and menu change, Mira gets a decent crowd on a weekday night dinner. My family and I often opt for the semi-closed off booth seating where we have to remove our shoes - the bonus is you get a bit of privacy from the other customers. This has been our second time here. The last time was ~4mo ago, funny enough, we got the same waiter who remembered us! Service was amazing - Ronald took our order (no pen/paper needed - the dude memorized our order), everything came out correct, and he was quick to get us everything we needed. In terms of food, I had to get the fried calamari again for appetizer (a must). They seem to have different special rolls from the last time I came. The new ones that stood out was "Black Panther" and "Godfather": - The "Black Panther" - black pepper tuna, avocado, mango: definitely our favorite, and you really get those hints of black pepper. - The "Godfather" - salmon/tuna/yellowtail wrapped in soy paper, served w/ capers, basil, olive oil: wasn't too keen to order this one, but it sounded interesting so we gave it a shot. Mixed reviews from the table. I think what threw us off was the flavor profile of Italian notes (olive oil, basil), but at the same time you're eating sushi..? It wasn't bad - just wasn't expected! Mind you this was a once a week thing. I was craving sushi and drunken noodles so I placed a to-go order for a Spicy California Roll, Salmon Tempura Roll sans the caviar and ginger, extra Eel Sauce, Spicy Mayo, and Drunken Noodles with Chicken. First off why was I charged an additional .75¢ for each sauce. They weren't filled up, not even half way. On top of that the Spicy Mayo tasted off. It wasn't your typical spicy mayo. It was bland as hell. My hunny makes a better version of spicy mayo. A lot has changed about this place mainly the food and quality. The sushi rolls were awfully small. Possibly the size of a coin, maybe a quarter. Usually I'm a fan of Salmon Tempura, but something was awfully strange about the roll I received. The Salmon Tempura was on the fishy side. The Spicy California Roll tasted fresh but lacked the spice I was looking for. The rolls were so tiny that I was able to inhale them without taking a single bite. The sushi was paper thin. Each bite contained filling with a thin layer of rice and seaweed. Sushi where? More like papier-mâché. The highlight of my order was the Drunken Noodles with chicken. It's been here for more than a decade and has gone through some name changes. Currently, it's been renamed to Mira for a couple of years now with some revamping. Their menu is quite extensive but as long as you have your usuals, it's a great neighborhood spot for low-key dining. The food is always good here and serves Thai and Japanese food from sushi to pad Thai. Business here before COVID-19 was usually booming, especially at nights where they have cocktails and sake. The turnaround was quick and no long waits. Overall a good experience throughout with welcoming customer service. We loved sitting in the large-party section with the privacy booth. We came here because S is leaving for CA for work. This is a very cute, clean restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. They weren't very busy but we came on Wednesday evening, Im not sure how busy it is during the lunch hour or weekends. We ordered appetizers first, we had the the Gyoza Dumplings which were very good and served with a delicious sauce. We also had the Thai Chicken Wings that were served with a sweet chili sauce . J enjoyed the wings but I didn't like them very much. They were all batter & bones with very little meat. The veggie curry puffs served with the sweet chili sauce were okay. I also ordered the Papaya Salad. I usually love papaya salads but this one had a lot of iceberg lettuce in it, which was odd. I've never been served papaya salad with lettuce, I think the lettuce was a filler so the bowl would seem full. We all ordered Bento Box Deluxe dinners that came with miso soup, garden salad with ginger dressing, 8 pieces of california roll, spring roll, jasmine rice and your choice of protein. I must say these boxes were huge and had a lot more food than one would expect with a bento box J ordered the Atlantic Salmon with the Mango Passion Sauce which was sautéed with mangoes, veggies in a Thai sweet mango sauce. J said it was really good but had more mango than salmon S ordered the Free Range Chicken with the Spicy Thai Basil Sauce that was sautéed with assorted veggies in a spicy garlic basil sauce. This was delicious with lots of chickens I ordered the Grass Fed Beef with the Black Pepper Sizzling sauce that was sautéed mixed veggies in a spicy black pepper sauce. This was also very good, the beef was very tender but next time I will have to order extra spicy because their " spicy" was not spicy. I was pleasantly surprised that the Thai iced tea was delicious. Restaurant is nicely decorated with different options for seating. We opted for a table where you take your shoes off, and climb in. Servers were very attentive. I get nervous when orders are taken and nothing is written down but everything that we ordered came out correctly. Parking is metered, street parking and the restrooms are shared with the poke business next door. The restrooms are INSIDE this restaurant. Even though service was great and the restaurant had a nice ambiance to it, the food was mediocre and expensive. I never think this place is that bad. I still come here once in awhile to get dinner. I brought my friends and family here to eat and even the food is not the greatest in the world I still enjoy myself mostly because of the ambience and the service, so far I get that in a decent part enough for me to continue to come back. They said they only have one high chair left and asked to go to the room Japanese, without Informing me that by dining in to that room you will automatically charges gratuity. I have nonproblem with that. What shocking is not only they charges you automatic gratuity, it was 20% gratuity. Not 15% not 18% but 20% don't get me wrong I have no problem paying for tips I also pay more that 20% if I have given a well deserve service. But my server never came back to check up in us. He took the appetizers and never came back to take our main course. I have to flagged another server to do so. In addition, when he was asking for our order he keept saying that's it? With a rush voice like I was bothering him or something. And because we didn't have hight chair my twins just continued to crawled everywhere and it made it so difficult for us to eat and to find a server to help us because no one cares about us in that restaurant. I never felt so unhappy in a service in my life. To make manners worse I asked for the manager because I wanted to talk to him/her about our experience. I asked a server to call the manager for me and he never informed the manager. When I was paying I went to the front and asked the host to bring the manager instead he brings my server, he kept saying that they were busy and when they do he likes to take the whole entire order so he doesn't forget them. I was like what? So your telling me it's my fault that your over work and you guys don't have enough stuff? How could you automatically charges me gratuity without even coming to check on us except dropping the check? I mean come on. Mira has definitely been affected my COVID in regards to menu options as they are currently not providing full bar options. They do provide sake, wine, and beer. The service here was still great and they followed protocol to make their patrons feel safe. The staff sanitizes between patients, have dividers, and also ensure that tables are a good distant apart. They also take temperatures prior to seating you. The waiter Jim was kind and continued to check in on us during our stay. The food was also fresh and good. I'm a huge sushi fan and although their sushi is not in my top 5, it did the job! My husband enjoyed the green dragon roll and my Miri lobster roll was also good. I don't remember the name of the saki as I originally ordered the plum wine, but it was refreshing! Overall, I have no complaints. read more

MANAGER DOESNT CARE, OWNERS DONT CARE. We came to celebrate a birthday party. Ordered steamed veggie dumplings = cold inside not fully cooked. There are 6 pieces in the order and all 5 of us instantly had one and had to stop. We told the waitress and weren't given another order. Among other appetizers ordered was broccoli/garlic = broccoli was dirty and not washed properly. When pointing this out to waitress, no response or action was taken. Spring rolls used to come as a 4 piece platter. Now they are serving only 3, and cutting them in half to simulate 6 pieces and for this they also increased the price. They tasted off as well like not fully cooked or frozen for way too long. All of us are long term customers since before this business was renamed and taken over by new management. With this new management, every single visit for years now, has problems with our orders that are never addressed or rectified by a manager. We ordered appetizers and a large sushi platter to start but when met with such disrespectful behavior and poor quality food preparation all 5 of us decided not to order main courses. For being so cheap with your portion sizes and indifference to the mistakes that occur every visit, being so rude cheap and stingy, cost you over a hundred dollars in main courses and future business. Rectify this by training your staff to be respectful and to have the intention to satisfy and feed people not just transactional business. When things go wrong like a dish being undercooked, that dish should be replaced immediately, not taken away and offered nothing in return. That same dish should be returned to the chef for tasting and inspection to improve quality control. Start making those spring rolls fresh in house don't buy frozen: you will make a higher quality product and will taste better. It will be worth the price you're charging, whereas currently three spring rolls cut into 6 halves are an insult to customers. Thankfully your sushi chefs can still perform well and make good sushi, the rest of the menu is in dire need of updating or attention to detail to actually cook things properly. Flash frying a frozen spring roll in an authentic Asian fusion restaurant is an embarrassing state of affairs. By comparison I could buy a box of 6 frozen spring rolls and make them at home in the air frier in 5 minutes and spend half of what this restaurant charges. The whole idea of eating out in a restaurant is to get food that is better than what I'd make at home. The restaurant was basically empty so there was no reason for such poor quality except for the negligence in the kitchen. Keep it up and it will be permanently empty read more

Came here for lunch and wow, what a stark difference from my last experience. I walk into a icebox first of all because the heat isn't on. When I asked the server, he said the owner doesn't like to turn on the heat, probably to save money. I ordered the 3 roll lunch special and how sad it was. First off they do 8 pieces instead of 6 means they are tiny. And some of the pieces had the saddest amount of fish. I complained to the server and he got me a new roll. It was normal size, which is what it should have been. Looks me to like they skimp on the lunch specials. I love coming here. Just for starters, I am not a seafood person so I never eat any of the seafood items. I usually get the garlic vegetables and chicken with rice in a bento box. The garlic vegetables with chicken is delicious, loaded with broccoli Spring beans and bell pepper.The box comes with California rolls, a spring roll and a side of soup or salad. I just give my friend the California rolls. The portions for the lunch size are decent. The drinks are pretty strong. My favorites are the mango margarita and the lychee martini.
