The master bedroom had a huge closet space for clothing and bags. The check in processes was easy but they wanted ID for four of us and additional resort fee of 29.99 was charged for each nite. The valet parking for the hotel guests were $35 daily. There was a rooftop pool, exercise room and jacuzzi on the 6th floor. Also, a small restaurant downstairs. Brickell City center was 20 minutes walk with a lots of stores and restaurants. Since there are several constructions going on nearby and next to our master bedroom, I couldn't sleep well. Also, I requested my room· cleaned which didn't happen. I even had to go downstairs to pick up extra towels on Thursday nite after 10pm. read more

My son broke his foot this summer and we had to move our trip. They would not give us any kind of refund even though it was a month out and only one night before we left on a cruise. I even called and talked to the manager. I decided to rebook for the night before our rescheduled cruise. Everything was mostly fine except for the master bathroom floor and a roach in the shower. Luckily my kids did not see that. When I informed the front desk as we were checking out, she acted like it was no big deal. Won't be staying here again. read more

This will be a little biased but hey, we booked online at the lowest priced room with a balcony, despite the multiple warnings that there's construction, and they gave us a Penthouse room! We had a really great time. Not saying everyone's getting this kind of upgrade. But our personal experience was fantastic. There's a good bar downstairs with good prices on coffee and fun drinks. It's a little off the beaten path so traffic in the area is light and it's just a short walk to the People Mover - very last stop, Financial District. That's a free ride to much of Miami or the Metro Rail. None of the windows open but the balcony door does. It's a big heavy door, I'm sure to deal with the weather Miami can get, including hurricanes, so you really have to pull. Great view, great time being right in Brickell. read more

I had a very disturbing experience at the Fortune House. While legally crossing the crosswalk at the corner of the property with the right of way, a renter aggressively yelled out of his car window and called me a "bitch" completely unprovoked. It was shocking, hostile, and incredibly disrespectful. What made the situation even worse was the behavior of the valet staff. Instead of helping de-escalate the situation or acting professionally, valet employees joined in by cursing at me, also calling me a "bitch," and aggressively demanding that I leave the property while I was simply trying to take a picture of the individual and his vehicle for reference after being verbally harassed. The level of hostility, unprofessionalism, and apparent racism displayed was unacceptable. No one should feel unsafe or degraded for simply walking through a crosswalk. Management seriously needs to address the conduct of both residents and staff because this experience reflected very poorly on the building and its environment. read more

We really enjoyed our time here. The location is good. The views from the balcony was great especially at night. Everything was super clean. They do have a nice bar area. They also have a nice pool area too. Valet was great. We did have an issue with the washer dryer but they were fast on responding to the issue. The kitchen had some stuff, enough to make a few things if you wanted. The fridge was nice. We stayed in the Ph 2 bedroom, our friends had 1 bedroom and they still had plenty of room. Fortune House Hotel and their associated restaurant is terrible, dishonest, and thieves. During my stay I ordered food that took 3 hours to deliver. When I discussed with the hotel management Jenny Quiroz, she had the nerve to say that the order was entered in only 1 hour and 5 minutes prior. This means that Ms Jenny Quiroz is either involved in misleading their patrons, or not aware of what is going on under her nose. In either situation, Ms Quiroz is managing the Hotel and Restaurant poorly and I will not have my employees stay there anymore. Unhappy and hungry never to stay again. read more

It's a great deal for the price I paid!! I'm very particular about the neatness of a hotel and as photos show, the bed and the room are very clean, fully functional and modernly decorated. The hotel is conveniently located near the Brickell city center for shopping. It has a beautiful water-view path nearby that leads you to Brickell key. Do take that walk to enjoy the breeze and the amazing view. I also love exploring the nice restaurants, cafes, and shops in the neighborhood -- everything is within walking distance. read more

Very nice decorum but they have bugs and the AC didn't work. When maintenance came to spray for bugs, he used Lysol. I thought it was a joke but he said it was all he had. They claimed they fixed the AC but it wasn't fixed. It was so hot I couldn't sleep. Also, the TV's are difficult to use. We stopped trying. I agree with the previous guest in that this is a hotel that masquerades as luxury. Our experience with the front desk was ok but all in all, I would pass on this one. 3.5 stars. Great location between the cruise pier and the airport. Nice views of Biscayne Bay from the balcony. Nothing fantastic but it's a clean spacious hotel room. Small lobby where you check in. Friendly and efficient service. Use your room key fob to activate the button for the elevator. Level 6 has the fitness room, rooftop pool, and a club room. We stayed on the tenth floor. One bedroom with king size bed has a full kitchen, washer/dryer, bathroom with tub/shower combo, dining table, sitting room, & balcony. Assumed the couch was a foldout sofa for use by our teenage son. Oh well, he slept on top of the sofa cushions. Housekeeping graciously brought up bedding, and an extra set of towels. There's a free monorail train to downtown that's a one block walk away. Love this access to quickly get to the Brickell City Center mall, Bayfront, Riverwalk... Great Cuban, Peruvian, & Colombian restaurants close by this hotel. read more

the check with Nick was good but I have been very disappointed with the cleanliness and overall upkeep of my room . As soon as checking in you can tell the room was very old and used numerous broken / dirty Furniture and areas . My guest when sitting down in a chair that leg was broken ( unknowingly ) violently hit his head on the floor causing us to seek medical attention after this occurring we noticed another chair to was broke luckily nobody sat down in it and got hurt ! The toilets do not flush the beds are stained floors are absolutely filthy . I travel more then half the year the past 7 years and never had a experience like this . You can't walk in the room without shoes unless you want your feet covered in dust and dirt the rooms tv remotes do not work . 1 individual security guard harassed and discriminated against me constantly cause of my race and disability even ignoring others doing the same thing and targeting me and my family . I would Not recommend this property it need severe updating . A positive note I would say tho is the location and the restaurant Madison's has good food for the price read more

Very nice hotel in the Brickell district of Miami. We were given a complementary upgrade to a luxury suites room that was newly renovated. The room was clean and super spacious. I am still in shock that there was a washer and dryer in unit. I used it to clean my clothes after using their large outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. They also have kitchen and living room space. I didn't use the gym during my stay, but it was decently equipped. They even have a bench press and smiths machine. There is a 7/11 and liquor store very close by. The Brickell City Center was also only 15 minutes away by foot, and there are a ton of restaurants nearby as well. read more

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly faces and glasses of champagne and bottled water. Rooms were large and include a balcony, washer and dryer, and full kitchen. There's also a gym, sauna, pool, and hot tub for daily use. My flight left late my last day, so it was nice that I was able to use all of the hotel extras even after checkout. read more

The hotel has a nice entrance with pleasant smells; I noticed that because some hotels situated near water have a mustiness but not this one. There are four elevators, three for guests and a service elevator and all were clean. The rooms/apartments have a full kitchen, living room space, two full bathrooms and spacious bedrooms. There are balconies that overlook the hotel pool and to the right, the bay, marvelous. The pool and gym are located on the sixth floor. I was impressed that the gym was not just a little space; it actually was bigger than just a couple of treadmills and exercise bikes. There were weights, benches and elliptical machine. The pool area had a bar, lots of seating with even a cabana styled, covered seating for two and there was a hot tub, that fit at least four people at a time. Trees surrounded to give the impression of privacy and seclusion. We enjoyed our brief time visiting family at this hotel and would book for ourselves on our next visit to Miami. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. The management is horrifying and it's a bad hotel trying to masquerade as luxury. Very outdated and the parking is overprice. My experience was so bad, I closed my air bnb account and will no longer be using them because of this place. I traveled from TN to Orlando to enjoy a few days at the parks and some outlet shopping then down to Miami to see family. The night before departure we washed a load of clothes and packed everything up, leaving out only the clothes we were traveling home in. The next day we're packed to leave and I go get dressed only to discover my newly washed shirt is covered in holes as well as EVERYTHING that was washed. All the new clothes and old we washed were completely ruined. I had bought additional new clothes the day before so I changed and made a report to Slimy Scammy Nick, the manager. He assured me it would be taken care of and handled responsibility. WHAT A JOKE. It was 15 minutes before check out and he said he'd make a report, I just had to unpack all my suitcases....15 minutes before checkout. He then told me I could "just file with Air BNB" Which I did, promptly upon arriving home. This scammy facility then denied the washing machine had "any issues" and then lied saying the room "smelled like smoke"....this was a week after the fact and nobody smokes. This place is scammy, dirty, cheap and they will lie to avoid any responsibility for crappy facilities. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! read more

This place is GORGEOUS! Our friend stayed here for her birthday and invited us to stay the night so we didn't have to drive home. This place is so clean and beautiful and the decor is super modern. The patio overlooked the city. The inside is all white and looks so clean I highly recommend everyone stay here. I don't know how much it was but they split the room between a few people so I'm sure it's affordable. I checked in at this hotel and at first the Valet was cool taking the vehicle and gave me a price. At the front desk, he upgraded to the penthouse, which only means the top floor. Nothing was penthouse. The hotel appeared to be old. Bathroom knob was about to break off. The shower was missing a door. Make me want to downgrade to see what the original room was like. Finally, had several bags from the grocery store, Valet didn't help with anything. My lady had surgery and security act like he couldn't open the door. Overall just an unpleasant stay. I loved this hotel. My friend and I arrived at around 11a and check-in was at 4p. Our room wasn't ready for early check-in, but we were able to use the gym. After our workout an hour later, Carla at the front desk said our room would be ready in 10 minutes! We ended up going to get something to eat (went to a restaurant that Carla recommended) before heading up to our room. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance so you shouldn't have any problems finding a place to eat. There's also a restaurant at the hotel but we didn't eat there so I can't rate it. Let me just say -- our room was AWESOME. There's a full kitchen with a coffee maker (which my friend really appreciated). The king sized bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. My only complaint would be the slow WiFi but I didn't go to Miami to go online so I won't even take away a star for that. They're going through some renovation/construction right now so there's some noise but overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. read more

Rating really just covers the room since I got in late, slept in my bed, took a shower and left. Every single place you go has this lame "resort fee" which in my view sucks so I won't bitch about it or blame the place. The suite was HUGE particularly given I booked just three hours before I showed up, with everything inside clean and seemingly state of the art. Shower Water pressure was noticeably weaker than my own non-updated shower so I noticed flow was weaker than it should be. They provided a coffee machine and two bottles of water, and price was very reasonable. Front desk/greeting staff very friendly. There is street parking a block away if you don't want to pay $25 to valet. I'd go back. I wish I had more people as it felt like such a shame to have all that space to myself! And would have liked to explore the place a little if I had more time. read more

This time I felt it wasn't worth it.. 900.00 just for the week 500 dollar cash deposit went down to put my credit card on file the next day front desk guy didn't inform me of the undated info on my deposit and new reservation. So I got stuck with them having my credit card deposit and a 500 dollar cash deposit.. Room service charges me for an order that was never ordered to my room and defiantly wasn't my signature when I was shown the receipt. Was told they would rewind cameras to verify still no word back in that. Room service charges for your food a 15% gratuity and and other 3.00 for delivery fees. They charge 21.74 for parking plus an additional 3.26 for tax and that's not even including tip. Moral of this trip I felt like from the time I walked in my phone started ringing from the front desk about inconvenient things and every time I looked up someone had their hand out asking for more money I don't like to feel like I'm being tooken advantage of so next time I don't think I'll stay here again read more

i will give it 2 stars for the absolutely wonderful view of the fireworks for the 4th of July. room was decent, however there was no hot water it got maybe lukewarm at best. they allowed the people right above us to have a huge party till early morning hours. the food was ok. we were able to swallow it. if your wanting actual food look for other places to stay. the guy that checked us in was friendly. if your used to staying upscale don't book this place just because it's 400 a night doesn't mean it's 5 star. also the pool was a super small area and not impressive at all when you can look out your window to the beautiful pools that surround this place. staff is friendly but not 400 a night friendly. read more

I recently stayed here on vacation with my family of 6, I can't rave enough the quality of not only the hotel but of the people who work there! From the moment we got there, the valet was attentive (always helping me in and out w my newborn baby) and our car was always brought out real quick as well. Our check in was probably one of the easiest and fastest I've ever had (5 just for that). We ordered room service on two occasion, and I loved that apart from the usual hotel food they had other foods to offer as well. Room was always clean by the time we got back.
