Update: Came back on Mother's Day to try their Mango Sago flavor and I am so glad that I did! Food: I tried all the different ice cream flavors and though I am bummed that the honey misu garu isn't here anymore, the mango sago and condensed milk flavor was incredible! Service: Great service as always! We were a group of 6 and the staff were incredibly patient and kind to us! Ambiance: Such a cool interior, we love the ambiance in here! Overall, hoping honey misu garu comes back!
First time visiting--I drove 45 minutes to check it out, and honestly, I don't think it was worth the trip. I tried the blueberry fig and the mandarin flavors, and the blueberry fig was WAYY better. The mandarin was just too tart for my taste. As for toppings, I really liked the mochi and almonds. Service was decent, and the ambiance is cool and vibey--it feels like being in a wine bar, but for ice cream. I do appreciate that they're open late.
My wife and I came by to 626 Ice Cream earlier this month to redeem the deal from the SGV Passport. It was for a Buy 2 get 2 free deal and it included toppings. I wrote a review a year ago and wanted to update it as it was still a 5 star experience for me! They open at 7pm and there were already people waiting in line. The shop rotates flavors often and the soft serves are all good! This recent visit was great! The staff let us sample per usual and explained how we could redeem our offer. My wife ended up getting 4 different flavors. The Blueberry Fig (dairy free), Mandarin (dairy free), Nian Gao (red bean) and one of my favorites the BLACK SESAME! We were able to choose 2 toppings each and we got them all with lids as we were going to take the other 2 home. They also offer some of past flavors as pints and we took home the Coconut Pandan (dairy free) that one is tremendous, btw! The location continues to be one of a kind from the tables and seats to the unique flavors of soft serve! Customer service is still great and the flavors are elite! Thanks again, 626 Ice Cream! 626 Ice Cream is a popular ice cream shop for a good reason. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. They will also provide free samples and an explanation for each one you try. Every month, they create unique flavors and a few dairy-free based ones. There is at least one dairy-free flavor, which is great so there is something for everyone. On this visit, there were two! I ordered their Blueberry Fig which is described as "bright wild blueberries married with jammy figs". It has a similar flavor profile to açaí. I added cocoa nibs and goji berries for some added texture. It was light and refreshing. I finished mine very quickly! I also ordered their Mandarin to go. This one has a tart and citrusy flavor. It's also light and refreshing. I added cocoa nibs and goji berries to this one as well. I love their interior! It's unique and on-brand. There are very few tables and seats. There is one table with a chessboard laid out. If you're looking for more ice cream, they also sell pints that are no longer being served in their monthly rotation next to their register. My husband got the Coconut Pandan. We enjoyed that one very much! The coconut flavor was not overpowering and the texture was creamy. If you're looking for an ice cream spot that produces unique flavors in-house every month, give this one a try. It will not disappoint! As always, great job, 626 Ice Cream!
This place has very cool and unique flavors (often inspired from Asian cuisine) but the line is way too long and the selection of flavors is lacking. They do have limited time flavors and rotate frequently which is cool. They let you try each flavor once you're inside (the space inside is VERY small, with very few seating). They have free stickers for you to take which is cool. Decor and vibes on the inside is geared towards the younger generation. Not very family oriented or for kids. It's honesty overhyped.
Amazing soft serve with so many amazing flavors! Apparently they also rotate them every few months. I really enjoyed the mandarin and yakult flavors. They also have a lot of pints with flavors not shown on their menu as well. Many are vegan, and definitely Asian inspired. Besides the bomb soft serve, the workers are so friendly and welcoming. I felt very comfortable in this shop. Parking is plenty, and the aesthetic is hard to beat. Highly recommend!!
Seems like their ice cream flavor rotates out every so often. Sad that i wasnt able to try cafe sue da. When you get their regular size, you can choose 2 flavors and if you want toppings you can have up to 3 choices. I ended up picking blueberry and nian gao. The blue berry was tart and the nian gao was creamy so it was a good mix. I added ct crunch, mochi, and oreo to make it a little sweeter as the soft serve isnt too sweet. Also came before there was a long line so she gave us a sample of each flavor. I was trying ti see which ones were yogurt and which ones were soft serve as a party member is allergic to yogurt and she kept offering yakult samples.. which wouldve been a nogo for someone allergic. I guess it was loud in the store so she couldnt hear. Seems to have lots of parking but be prepared to wait because samples take a while if everyone is trying them.
Haven't stopped thinking about this place after going over the weekend. The soft serve is so creamy and unforgettable! Parking is widely available within the lot. People will even sit outside of the shop's parking lot spaces if there is no seating inside. They have numerous small stools for guests to use and move around for seating. The staff is extremely friendly and extremely knowledgeable about each individual flavor. Samples are highly encouraged by staff and provided in tiny souffle cups. There's a variety of asian toppings to accompany the soft serve too! Pints are also offered in a small freezer at checkout. A fun bonus is the free sticker at the end of the line. The stickers change frequently! The yakult soft serve was yogurty and tart. The condensed milk soft serve was very creamy and not too sweet. The mandarin soft serve was tart and orangey. The nian gao soft serve tasted exactly like a nian gao. The aftertaste for the soft serve really lingered for this one. After all the samples, I ended up choosing yakult and condensed milk for my final cup. There were multiple toppings, but I really enjoyed the soft serve plain. I hope to come back again soon for the same flavors! Also looking forward to trying any new flavors in the future. Really love this place... there's nothing else like it!
This is my second time visiting 626 ice cream and both times the quality of the ice cream has been incredible! I'm a big fan of soft serve and most places tend to make it excessively sweet but not here. They always have interesting flavors that you can try ahead of time to see which is your favorite. The employee who helped me was also very nice and patient. I hope I can return soon!
Such a great spot for a sweet treat! Their ice cream is exactly as they describe it, "not too sweet," which perfectly captures all of their flavors. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, offering us plenty of samples and walking us through each flavor to help us find what suited us best. I really appreciated how knowledgeable and patient they were while we decided on our order. I ended up getting the mandarin and mango sago flavors, and both were so refreshing without being overpowering. Will definitely be back!
This is such a unique ice cream shop! They offer Asian-inspired ice cream flavors. You can also get Lactaid for $1, if you need it. The vibes are also really cool, especially at night. I went here for the first time on 2/25/26. You get to sample all of the flavors. My friend and I shared the Kid's size, which was plenty for us. We tried all of the flavors and decided to get condensed milk and mandarin. The tartness of the mandarin balanced out the thick creaminess of the condensed milk. I also really liked blueberry fig. There is some seating available in the shop. Plenty of parking.
If a joint was all vibes 626 Ice Cream would fill all those categories and then give you some extra on the side. Even when you queue outside the store (it looks like you're waiting to get inside a Subway because of the strange placement of their entrance right next to this place) you can see how city pop really influenced this place. The moody lights of red, blue, and yellow with low lighting set the tone. The music melodically plays out a selection of different genres of music from Asia with Japanese city pop heavy on rotation. The love for the 626 is everywhere with different stickers splattered everywhere on the façade with designs showcasing those numbers. They even have a crossword puzzle to help pass the time in the queue whilst you wait outside to get in. Interior - "A speakeasy for desserts" Once you step in you get to really see the place come to life. Whomever decided to design this interior was a genius. With a nice balance of maximalism and functionality the interior has spaced filled to the brim with interesting art, props, and lighting without limiting movement to get from one space to another. There is a huge love for tigers as a generous amount of them can be found all throughout the space. It feels like wherever you look you can see an interesting nook somewhere. Food - "Misnomers" Although this place is called 626 Ice Cream in truth they sell soft serve. This is an important distinction since if you came expecting ice cream you might be disappointed. When we came unfortunately a few of the soft serve machines were not working so their menu was more limited than usual. When you walk up to the counter the staff are so friendly. They explain to you what each of the flavors are and ask what samples you would be interested in. We tried the blueberry fig, the condensed milk, and the Yakult. The blueberry fig tasted like a sorbet with balanced flavors of blueberry and fig. Not as sweet as you would think, the slight tartness tingles the tongue. The condensed milk felt the closest to a vanilla ice cream. This is the one you'd most likely consider to be ice cream flavors if that's what brought you here but not too sweet. The Yakult tasted very much like the drink but in soft serve form. Perhaps a little bit more tart than the drink but it could've just been accentuated as it became more concentrated as it melted down. All in all, 626 Ice Cream feels like a speakeasy for soft serve in a town where such a thing would seem impossible. The vibes are immaculate, the design is fantastic, and the staff are generous. The only thing that'll give you pause might be what actually brings you here, the dessert. If you want to hang out at night with friends and chill at the closest setting of a lounge without the alcohol, 626 Ice Cream might be the perfect spot for your and your homies.
I'm a really big fan of soft and Asian flavors so I was dying to try this place. The service was exceptional here as they gave us free samples and provided us with a detailed explanation of each flavor. This place lives up to the hype of new trendy LA ice cream places. I love their motto of "Not too sweet", a phrase that is a high compliment in the Asian-American dessert community. Their flavors are very unique, with yakult and misugaru being some of the stand-outs. They also have fun toppings like mochi and sago! I really liked the service because each staff member was very accommodating and let us try as many flavors as we wanted! They also gave us some stickers to take home :) Loved the late night vibes and all of the fun board games they had laying around for people to play! read more

Such an interesting place- the decor, the opening hours and the ice cream flavors! It's giving late night vibes especially with being open from 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM / midnight and the moody lighting. A line formed right before they open with dedicated customers waiting patiently. Seating is very limited and many people take their ice cream to go. Families, young adults, teens, grandparents- people of all ages come here. Atmosphere is cool, decor is fun. I'm amazed about the flavors they've concocted. During this visit they had condensed milk, mango sago, yakult, black sesame and Vietnamese coffee. The Vietnamese coffee is spot on (I should know I'm a viet girl who gets her viet coffee from time to time). Mango sago was delicious and yakult's flavor was perfect, too! The condensed milk- I couldn't really pick it up flavor wise but I'm thankful for having it along side the viet coffee which balances out the bitterness beautifully. The consistency of the soft serve is impeccable. The topping choices are *chefs kiss*. So Asian, so beautiful. Service was great! They let you try out the flavors before purchase . Luckily they don't have a lot of options so it didn't take forever while waiting in line. I heard they rotate different flavors every week and a half or so. Came on a Friday night & the line was out the door! But the ice cream lived up to the hype with their unique flavors. We ordered the yakult & mango sago and both were super delicious! I'm usually impatient when I see long lines like that but it's worth the wait! read more

huge shoutout to Donny for helping us out tonight!! because of his service i was inspired to write him a deserving review: WOW, I know this place is called 626 Hospitality, but I had no idea how much the staff goes above and beyond to give us as much information as possible and share their passion for the place. It was our first time here, and Donny was more than happy to let us sample all the flavors. He gave extremely detailed descriptions, which made the soft serve sound so appetizing ~ and truly intentional. What's unique is their quarterly rotating menu. It's not every day you see a modernized Asian-flavored soft serve shop. It definitely stands out in that way. We were also introduced to traditional Chinese toppings like plum powder (it added an extra tang) to my blueberry froyo, hawthorn, and so much more. The place is amazing! There's seating indoors and outdoors, and the purple and yellow really add to the vibe :) I also loved how they leaned into lunar new year - which flavors represented prosperity, luck, peace. 626 Ice Cream is such a fun dessert spot in the 626. They offer unique Asian inspired flavors like Yakult, condensed milk, blueberry fig, mandarin, black sesame, and nian gao. I loved that they let us sample everything and the staff was genuinely friendly. I got the black sesame and nian gao swirl. It was creamy, nutty, and just sweet enough with a soft chewy texture from the nian gao. The shop has a chill vibe inside with seating outside as well. I would definitely come back to try the other flavors. read more
Pretty cool ice cream shop that is open late. The line may look long, but moves quickly. My partner and I were able to sample some flavors before ordering. I really like the condensed milk flavor, which is sweet and creamy. The yakult flavor is a close second. The flavors do rotate every now and then, so certain flavors may not be on the menu anymore. For what you are getting, I do find it to be a bit pricey. Adding toppings will cost extra. The soft serve is served in a cup, in which you can choose up to 2 flavors per cup. Since it seems that this shop is quite popular, it would be great if there were more tables and seating available. The shop is very small and feels like a tight squeeze inside. read more

This is actually a place that lives up to the hype. They truly mean it when they say "hospitality" because we got the warmest welcome possible. We came in a group of 4 and it was two of our first times there so they gave us a sample of every flavor they had. They made a lineup and described all of them in detail while we were trying them. My favorites ended up being the yakult and ube vanilla. The former was sorbet-like and lighter, so I was shocked that I liked it since I don't enjoy sorbets and the latter was creamy and sweet with an earthy taste. I also really enjoyed the condensed milk and chocolate mint but alas, I can only choose up to 2 flavors. It's a pretty good portion of each which was nice for sharing but you can also be selfish and get one all on your own, which I will do next time. read more
The soft serve was good- I got condensed milk flavour after having a chance to try all the flavours. The yakult was super tart and blueberry fig was really tasty but I still liked condensed milk the most. The toppings are additional cost of around $2 and you can get up to 3. Came here on a Saturday and I can honestly see why they're always busy. Upon entering, the vibe and the service were great. Loved that they provide samples as their menu does often change depending on the season. Anyways, I thought the flavors were spot on with the name and unique, however, I feel like the texture wasn't as creamy as what I was hoping for. Another thing is that it was melting way too quick than what I was expecting. No bathroom for customer which was upsetting. Seatings are limited inside which is also why they provided chairs for people to sit outside. Parking wasn't hard as it is shared with other stores. read more
A small hole in the wall that has absolutely delicious ice cream flavors! They have seasonal rotation of ice cream flavors that are novel and delicious, not too sweet and yet super flavorful! They have a yogurt flavor ice cream that is reportedly all year round. I went with a friend and we waited about 6 to 7 minutes around 8 pm. There were plenty of toppings, but I really liked the mochi one the most. The serving size was also very good. There is ample seating in the ice cream shop, but I can see that it can get packed easily during peak hours. Anyway, highly recommend recommended for a chill evening with friends with some delicious ice cream! read more

Have heard a lot about this place and finally got to try it. Went right before it opened for the night and there was already a line outside! I can't even imagine what the line looks like between 9-11. The menu flavors do rotate so think seasonal. They let you try all the flavors which is nice. After trying a few, I went with the condensed milk and the blueberry fig. Ube vanilla was almost made the cut but I think the other pairing made more sense. You can add toppings to the soft serve for an extra $1.95 which I did of course. I wish there was more fresh fruit toppings. I do like the decor. Reminds me of like old school meets like LA graffiti. Team was very friendly and moved the line along quickly. Sadly very limited seating so most likely you will take this to go. Good news is that it's in a plaza so there's plenty of parking. read more

So happy that there's a late night ice cream spot that's open until midnight in Arcadia, when most things close pretty early lol. I came here about 15 minutes before closing and the staff was very kind and didn't rush us at all. The girl at the counter let us try literally every flavor, with such a sweet attitude about it as well. We decided to order the Yakult and Yuzu sorbet. Both of those flavors were light and refreshing! The scoop size was pretty good as well. Parking: large parking lot in the plaza and it was easy to find spaces. Interior: intimate dim lighting, floral aesthetics with a lot of plant decor and very limited seating. Wait Time: Line was not too long but wait was about 10min. Service was amazing with nice staff and they let you sample everything so worth the wait. Items Order: $7.25/ cup/2 flavors 9/10 Ube Vanilla - super creamy. Ube was medium in flavor strength. 9/10 Hojicha - Also creamy and solid in tea flavor. 10/10 Strawberry Lychee - quite bomb. This is a small mom & pop ice cream shop They're open daily - Mon-Thur - 7-11pm - Fri - 7-12am - Sat - 1-4pm & 7pm-12am - Sun - 1-4pm & 7pm-11pm Parking was decent since there are plenty of parking Pricing was ok. Expect to pay $7.75 (choice of 2 scoops) & choice of 3 toppings for $1.95! Kid's price is $6.95. Service was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I was greeted the moment I entered by a very nice gentleman named Adrian. He was very patient and explained all their flavors are house made. He even offered complimentary samples! There were 6 flavors - Condensed Milk, Passionfruit - Orange - Guava - Mango,Yakult, Yuzu, Ube Vanilla, and Chocolate Mint. There were lots of toppings to choose from, such as mochi, sprinkles, nuts, etc. Seating was limited but there were a few chairs and tables. The decor was very cute and unique! Got the Ube Vanilla and Yakult. The Ube Vanilla was very delicious and creamy! The Ube tasted very rich and not artificially flavored. It wasn't too sweet and it was very refreshing! 626 Ice Cream knows what they're doing! I love this place! From the service to the ambiance, everything is amazing! They have a limited amount of flavors, but they do them RIGHT! My favorites are the Condensed Milk and Ube Vanilla! The first time I came here, they were about to close, but I didn't feel rushed whatsoever and they actually encouraged me to try as many flavors as I wanted. I also love the ambiance because it feels like you're at a little bar/club, but everyone's jus eating ice cream and playing games! I'm excited to see what flavors they release next! I'm adding this place to my favorites for sure! read more

This place has been on my radar for a while, but their hours haven't worked with my schedule. I wish they had earlier weekday openings, but understand it might not be feasible. Perhaps consider it during the summer months. I've seen so many LA foodies and Yelpers here, so I finally decided to try it. Luckily, my son had a baseball game nearby, and we were able to stop in afterward. I was so happy to finally check it off my list. We arrived when they opened and were the first customers of the day. The friendly staff was excellent! Since the frozen yogurt flavors were new to us, they were happy to let us sample them to help us decide. I love their Asian-inspired flavors and the inviting, bohemian atmosphere. It feels like you could relax there all day, but it is a bit pricey, even though I appreciate the unique flavors and variety of toppings. The service was exceptional. I was indecisive about flavor and topping combinations, but the staff was patient and helpful in finding the perfect match. I opted for Mazapan, Cacao Nibs, and Mochi, and I really enjoyed the toppings; they complemented the frozen yogurt well. My son went with hawthorn candy, sprinkles, and gummy bears. I would love to return with my wife, but my son only likes strawberry ice cream, and he didn't care for the frozen yogurt since they didn't have it. Finally got to try 626 Ice cream and it was so good. I went on a Tuesday night and there were about 7 people in front of me. The workers were super friendly and professional as they explained everything on the menu and let us try as many samples as we wanted. I got the Yakut soft serve which was very fresh and tart. There's also a lot of toppings to choose from, many which are Asian based. The ambiance of the place is very Bohemian with the lights dim and is a great place to chill with friends. read more
Visited with my partner on a Friday evening around 8 - 9 PM. This shop was on my try list for a long time and we finally got some time to try it out since we were in the area. First impressions is that the line moves fairly quickly. Plenty of people outside chatting and eating ice cream along with tables inside for people to sit and eat. Not very spacious since it's a small shop. Parking is free in a big lot which is always a nice plus. As with most ice cream shops, you're able to sample the flavors. My partner and I were most excited to sample the condensed milk & we were spot on! It was definitely the one to pick for our first visit as it was just super rich in flavor. Not overly sweet nor flavorless. It's the perfect balance. I would say this is a must try if you're visiting. We also added a Yakult flavor as the 2nd scoop, tasty but not as tasty as the condensed milk & I didn't think it complimented well with the condensed milk. It would be better as a separate flavor. Seems like new flavors rotate once in awhile, we visited in October, if they had a fixed menu, condensed milk would certainly be on the list. Even though they have a selection of flavors to choose from, going early would be ideal if you want to avoid some flavors being out of stock as our visit were. For the price and the portions provided by two scoops, there's certainly comparable spots in other cities with bigger portions for cheaper. Probably one of the best ice cream spots I've been to. A little whole in a wall in a plaza but the line is always long- for a good reason. Our friends who live down here brought us here and said that the flavors are always changing- but all the flavors are good. We waited maybe 20ish minutes but the girl who took our order was so nice and hospitable. When we told her that it was me and my boyfriends first time she let us all try all the flavors which was so nice especially considering how busy they are. I was originally going to get blueberry fig but was surprised by the Yakult and Mandarin- SOOOO GOOD! Tasted like summer and wasn't too sweet but was the perfect amount. The vibes inside are so cool, it reminded me of Japan. The inside was crowded and some people were playing chess so we sat outside where they had stacks of stools you could use to sit around. Music was epic- pleasantly surprised by some of the Tagalog music that was blasting. I'll be back here!! read more
