The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the creative cakes that are in the fridge to the right. The cakes are unique and some are very cute. I always like to try new flavors and they had Banana Dule de Leche which I requested on a cake cone. The employee told me it's a bit too soft but I accepted it and she scooped it into a cup and put the cake cone on top. I just wish they offered free candles like some places do. However, Dollar Tree is right next doors so we hopped over to get our candles there. Taste-wise, I'd say it's a lot sweeter than I prefer, as most American cakes are. However, taste is consistent as they are a large and well known chain. This cake fed 8 adults perfectly. I did this by phone. The woman I spoke to was very nice and assured me my order would be right and ready on time. It was. The place is just spotless and the service is wonderful. This 31 Flavors is located in a crowded strip mall. Parking can be challenging. The store is usually not crowded and quiet. Service at this location varies in terms of friendliness, helpfulness, and quantity of ice cream given per purchase (this last issue is a factor at every store). 31 flavors ice cream quality is consistently good and it just depends on if you like their style or others better in terms of texture, creaminess, flavors offered, and sweetness level. On our last visit here we came in for an ice cream cake. They had the standard cake on the shelf we wanted. They have three standard sizes: feeds up to 4, feeds up to 6, and maybe feeds up to 8-10. I was on my way home from Long Beach and wanted to get the freeway part over with so when closer to home, I stopped at this Baskin Robbins for the banana shake I'd been thinking about for the better part of 1 hour. Service was immediate, no issue there but what I ended up with was a lukewarm shake that was more milk and very little vanilla ice cream. The drink did not come with fresh mango on top or a tamarind candy straw like the authentic Mexican stores, but the drink is extremely smooth and flavorful. We have various dietary restrictions in our family, they are able to accomodate to any diet (Vegan, nut allergy, egg free, etc.). Will for sure be back. Just went by today for the 31% deal with my friend, and this is my first time having a "bad" experience with this particular location. I've been here a couple of times, but I usually had good experiences and no problems with the service and ice cream. I'm assuming they have a new manager at this store, and she was super stingy with the size of the scoops her employee was giving to customers. I overheard her telling the nice employee that the scoop she was giving to the people in front of us was "too much/too big". My friend wanted a single scoop, so by the time the employee helped her, she only got half the cup. I've never seen such a stingy and CHEAP Baskin Robbins manager. Why would you tell your employees to give us less right in front of us?? If I see the same manager ("MEGAN") in the store the next time I go, I'm just going to leave. Her employee was much nicer and reasonable with the scoop sizes, and I felt bad about how she was being scolded for how she served the customers. What a great way to end dinner with my huge family tonight! We walked a few stores down to Basket Robbins to grab some delicious ice cream (even though it was raining, but it can never be too cold for ice cream). We came here probably a year ago and used their buy 1 get 1 check-in. Thank goodness they've kept the check-in because we used it again! I saw the price from ~$19 shoot down to ~$8 by using the BOGO deal! My uncle loves pistachio ice cream so I got a scoop for him. Placed the online order on Monday & indicated on the order form that I would pick it up on Wednesday at 630pm. We arrived 15mins early & the young worker informed us that the cake was not ready & that it needed to dry! WTF my cake wasn't ready?? Yes we arrived 15mins early & NOT 2hrs early. You would think the cake was ready & in the freezer just waiting to be picked up. When it was time to place the cake in the box the young man didn't have a box big enough for the unicorn cake (WTF)! So he shoved it into a small box which caused smearing onto the unicorn's face & part of the frosting from the letter Y on the word birthday fell onto the unicorn's eyelash. It's a damn shame when we spent $41 & the outcome of the cake was a HOT MESS! Oh and the same night I went to another 31 where there was a pre-made unicorn cake that was professionally made without any smearing!! I was better off buying an ice cream cake at the market or at Walmart!!! Had I known I would be disappointed I would have bought a regular cake or even ordered an ice cream cake from Fossilman! I definitely would NOT recommend one to order their ice cream cake at the Alhambra 31 Baskin Robbins unless you don't care about your cake looking shitty!!! One of the few Baskin Robbins locations in SGV. Located inside the big and always packed Big 5 plaza on Valley. Parking here is a pain, always packed and hard to find a space. Located in the middle of the main plaza strip. Service was good. I had a few samples. Kids Scoop - $2.89 - Super pricey for a tiny tiny scoop. Pistachio was good. I have this weird habit of driving to a location just for specific things whether I can go to a place closer to me or not. This Baskin Robbins is one of them. I'll always expect little kids screaming their heads off every time I come here and I don't know how the employees do it, but they totally remain calm as if they can't hear little kids causing a ruckus over ice cream. They might be used to it, but they always remain nice and chill. For that, they deserve 4 stars (that, and the ice cream and cakes are so good!). In all honestly I haven't been to a Baskin Robbins in many years, possibly a decade. It's mostly because there are too many ice cream shops all over LA but also I don't live particularly too close to a Baskin Robbins, and you can buy most of their popular flavors at your local Vons. Two things brought me to this particular location: a hot Saturday afternoon and the Rite Aid a few doors down had severely limited selection (aka all the gross flavors) because one of their coolers was broken (supposedly). With that said, I really liked this Baskin Robbins because it was big, clean and there was a good number of tables. I also thought it was really nice of the employees here to allow the older Asian man to sleep in the store. Rather than eating ice cream, he was napping at a table next to his suitcase. If this was a Starbucks, they would have shooed him away or at least woken him up, but we were here for about 15-20 minutes and observed him resting peacefully. What surprised me was the price of ice cream here, (one scoop is $3.99). I guess I got used to buying "cheap" ice cream at Scoops and Fosselmans. However, if you check-in on yelp, you can buy one, get one free. That's a really generous yelp deal. What shocked me was the price of an ice cream cake nowadays. Don't get me wrong, the cakes are really cute and creative, but the price of the taco cake (which is actually 1/2 a cake) was $34.99! read more

Woot woot new management. I came prior when they sold the business and had another manager . Then it sold again to the current manager. The store was really clean compared to my prior visits. It seemed kinda gloomy before, almost a dingy feel. They added new decor which adds a new feel with familiarity. There was a couple before us, while we waited we were looking at the cakes! So tempted to buy one for our daughter just because! Another patron came in and was served before us, but it was because we were browsing. The nice server did acknowledged us, hinting he knew the guy cut in front of us. It's cool, i wasn't in a rush, just pregnancy cravings hahahaha! The service has improved, most likely because, duh, new owners. I would come back. Baskins has been here for so long, I would hate for it leave.
