VERY UNDERRATED!! I drive from Modesto to Ceres JUST to get their freezes! Their ice cream is thick and creamy ;) and they have a wide variety of flavors and add-one to their milk shakes and mixed drinks. I've only had their chicken and fries but both were fresh and honestly pretty good serving sizes for their prices. read more

Possibly the raddest burger joint in the entire Modesto area, well the spicy chicken sandwich kicks ass anyway. The french fries are brilliant, and the milkshakes compete with those of In-N-Out. The establishment itself is kept very clean, which is a great bonus. read more

Foster Freeze is all about the ice cream and twisters with every item in them (reeses, choc chip, fruit loops, etc). Their burgers are good and I love their fries. Why three stars? They are WAY OVERPRICED! Service is ok. You can easily spend 30$ here for two people. So its way more than In N Out and comparable burger joints. So this isnt a place we frequently go to for dinner, but worth stopping by for dessert. Would be awesome if they had outdoor patio area for eating ice cream like they used to. read more

I pretty much enjoy all the food options at this place. I love fried foods and this place has that covered. On some days they have a corn dog special so that's pretty awesome. I've had the Carmel milkshake and root beer freezer and both were very good. My go to burger is the big boss. My only problem with Fosters is the price. If everybody gets meals, a family of three is likely going to run in the 39 dollar range. Especially if you start dabbling in the ice cream options. read more

I absolutely love the strawberry cheesecake twister and go here at least twice a month to get my fix! The only complaint I have is that they dont have the long spoons to eat the ice cream from the cup anymore. It's not a huge deal but it sure makes it inconvenient. Placed an order thru grubhub. After 20 minutes I arrived to pick up my order. The girl at the front counter informed me that they had not turned on their tablet. An older Indian lady came to the counter, I showed her my email verifying my order. She was very rude and unapologetic. When I called them about it, the girl who answered said she only saw 3 orders when my receipt showed 4...but can come to their place in the next 7 days to get my forgotten order?!? Because they messed up, I HAD TO GO and GET MY FOOD, that was supposed to be DELIVERED ??? She called me back to say they were going to have the food delivered but then got a call & text from GrubHub , not FOSTERS, that we were getting a refund but no food....long story short, Hubby gave his meal to our son, since his was left off the order.... Stopped in for lunch April 12th. Clean restaurant and friendly service. Burger was perfectly cooked, not greasy or overloaded with mayo/sauce. Fries perfectly cooked, crunchy and not greasy. Will definitely stop in again when in town. read more

Chicken sandwiches are great, and if you want delicious quality ice cream with a large variety, especially really thick shakes, this is really your only local option now that the Ice Cream Company is gone. i was denied a medium cone because they have a five dollar minimum on using plastic. i don't think they understand that those minimums are only applicable to credit card transaction, and not permissible when using debit cards.
