Never again. Guy behind the counter didnt use gloves at all while he was talking on the phone to someone and he was touching in his pockets/body etc on a customers pickup order. If she didnt glare at me when she came up to the window (no idea why) to pick it up i would have went outside and told her. I ordered a promotional shake and he charged me extra for it even though the price was on the flyer... he also didnt give me my change and usually i dont make a big fuss over getting change I usually tip but i was not going to. I barely got acknowledged. Unsanitary preparation. Dont go here. I went to the Foster Freeze in Manteca almost all of my childhood and high school years. The Branscom family were terrific owners. Place was always clean and the staff went out of their way to be polite and helpful. Good food great service. Still good food, but service and rudeness are over the top. Maybe that is how you treat customers in Mumbai, but it doesn't fly in good old Manteca. I have been there several times in the last few months thinking that maybe they were just very busy, so I would continue to give them my business. Not the case, they have been less polite each time. The busy traffic on Yosemite makes it hard to hear or understand what they are saying through their 1950's intercom system. Will never go back based on my earlier experiences. There is a sign out front that says help wanted. It's no wonder why anyone would want to work for them. read more

My boyfriend and I came here to relive our childhood memories by ordering two ice cream cones. We hadn't been there in years so we weren't all too familiar with the menu. The tiny man serving us was rude and it took 10 to 15 minutes to get our order of just two ice creams. Once I got it he not only didn't respond, my ice cream was poorly made. Always come here but this time was disappointing and really changed my outlook on the whole place. I ordered a COLD BREW coffee (which is advertised any and everywhere as about $1.59 or so). I asked if they could do mocha and vanilla and homie said yeah, he was nice and whatever so that was cool. But when it came time that I got the cold brew, shit was like water and sugar. I had went to ask for a refund because I was charged for a MEDIUM SHAKE ($4.89) and 99¢ to add vanilla into it Homie said "you shouldn't order multiple flavors" because it affects the flavor and there was nothing he could do. Mf it was $6 for a SMALL COFFEE THAT TASTES LIKE WATER (which WASNT my fault for adding another flavor.. that doesn't affect how strong the coffee is ). Regardless, I wouldn't mind that the coffee tasted didn't taste good if it was charged properly. But the fact that they don't do anything to help is nuts. Especially after reading other reviews how they won't refund undercooked food, etc. is just CRAZY. After learning this, they seem like the type to drop food on the floor and still hand it out so it doesn't affect the food cost. We stopped at this location to get ice-cream. We ordered our ice cream before I could fully observe the place. There were six tables and not one of them was clean. All the tables had crumbs, ketchup, and used napkins on them. Upon further inspection I found a dead FLY on one table and an ant trail on another table. There was soda stains on the tile floors-which told me that no one bothered to clean up the place. We were charged an additional .75 cents to use our debit card and no one offered to clean a table??? The mozzarella sticks came with no ranch or marinara sauce. The place is absolutely disgusting and I would not recommend you bring your family here. I know how people can be and franchising restaurants myself in 5 states I understand, let me start by saying this place deserves the negative comments it's been getting. I ordered 2 shakes and there is .69 cents flavor charge extra. Now no where on there menu does it State this. So this place took in a 1.38 extra for nothing. Now it's only 1.38 not a big deal, what the big deal is the integrity of this establishment and the gentleman that runs it. Dishonesty to make some money to keep the doors open and not letting your customers know will drive them away to not come back. I will not return to this location nor will I advise anyone of this location. Next time you in there check you Receipt and watch for a flavor charge. read more

I paid 3.59 for a hot fudge sundae with about 1/4 cup of ice cream. My toddlers cup of ice cream had the same amount! I seriously get more ice cream at McDonald's for a buck. And the oreo in the twister was stale. Lesson learned. We will not be back. read more

This is probably the nastiest place to eat in Manteca literally smells so bad.. Like sooooo disgusting and we ordered a onion rings, a chocolate shake and a white chocolate drink (I forgot what it's called) and these people really gave us a STRAWBERRY shake instead of chocolate. We realized in the car that they messed up so we went back to the window for a new one and these people tried saying we said strawberry and didn't want to make us a new one. On top of that they didn't even give us our onion rings in the first place!!!! We went all the way to the car and they didn't tell us to come back for them or anything the only reason we even got them was because they messed up our order. We came back to the window and they were just looking at us with our bag in the guys hand. The onion rings we ordered were disgusting anyways. They were like cooked in old grease and were chewy as heck like who wants to eat that if I knew it was going to be like that I wouldn't even have taken them. One day my husband and I thought we'd stop in and grab an icecream cone on a whim...it sounded good. Walking up to order, we could see the inside of the food prep area was really dirty, and their were flies landing all over everything in there. Tons of flies. And then I thought I saw something scurry across the counter...a cockroach perhaps? So the lady making the cones reaches out to hand us our icecream cones, and her fingernails were so long, gnarly, and dirty- I mean, it looked like she had just got done scratching through dirt and got knows what else. She had those dirty, yellowy fingernails that you see with crack pipe and heroine addicts. And those dirty, nasty fingernails were touching my icecream cone!!!!!!!! I wanted to barf. I just basically threw the icecream away. I was so disgusted I didn't even want to complain...I just wanted to leave. Needless to say, I didn't have a craving for icecream for a while after that. This is the worst Foster's I've ever been to. I can't say that I've ever encountered a FF that I didn't like but this one failed in every way. The first clue was when I was told they would charge me .75 cents to use my debit or credit card. I guess they are the only Fast Food joint in town not willing to invest in taking plastic. While this isn't completely important; it all added up by the end of lunch. 2. The person making the food and taking the money looks very sloppy and dirty and wasn't especially friendly. 3. I ordered a Pepsi-Freeze and it was so watered down, it was basically a Pepsi with a small flavoring of ice cream... the worst one I've ever had... I couldn't even drink it (tossed in the garbage). 4. I ordered a simple corn dog (can you ruin a corn dog?)... yes they can... this corn dog tasted 18 months old... it was awful... freezer burned to the max. 5. Asked for Ketchup... they have the cheapest nastiest brand of Ketchup I've ever seen. Everything I ordered ended up in the garbage. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK... I see someone else got food poisoning here... I'm crossing my fingers that the few bites I took don't kill me too.
