My son took his cap and gown box picture a few weeks ago. At the shooting, the photographer showed me the photos. There was a glare from the light in the upper right corner. I asked the photographer if he could re-take the photos so that the glare wouldn't be there. He told me, "Don't worry about it. They'll fix it when they develop them." Imagine my surprise when I arrived to pick up the photos and the glare was still there. My son is autistic. He has been WAITING for this specific photo because he loves video games and anime. I decorated the box with an anime poster, and he pretended to play a video game. I've been waiting for this photo so that I can finally get his high school announcements printed and mailed off. I contacted the studio, and employees told me that they do not photo shop... like it was MY fault the glare was on the photo. I have left messages for the owner, Sharon Lee, and sent her emails. Worst $160 I spent in my life . I don't leave terrible reviews but this is just sad . And I'm sad for coming here . It's been one month haven't heard from them I finally found time to go up there and I had to pick the pictures I wanted of my baby son felt kind of rushed bit the lady that helped but just the process. I was told that it took long because they don't do pictures of babies it was more just for the schools. Well if that's the case why take my money When I met the owner when we originally came she made me feel comfortable and confident but the ball was definitely dropped . Also owner told me I would get 4 poses I was told I could only choose one then after complaining she let me have 3 . I don't know I'm not happy it was my babies first pictures first experience what a bummer . Just the lack of not trying to make me any more happier by saying they are busy with the print instead of saying we will get on it asap is appalling . Not to mention none of the pictures were like awww but that's on my baby not them I guess . I'm just sad worst money I've ever spent. read more

Do not come here for your school yearbook needs. Our yearbook advisor just told us that our yearbooks are not going to be here for our promotion parade. The school is on a tight budget and ordered a few more to sell to break even. Keeping costs down she tirelessly did this for the kids, and to hear that they won't receive their yearbooks on time and at a a possible loss. ‍ Not to mention the endless complaints I have personally heard from the students and parents regarding the student portraits. They are so expensive, too. What a shame. read more

Horrible horrible horrible! Pictures were taken in January. Emailed numerous times and they really suck as far as communication goes along with doing ANYTHING in a timely manner except taking a payment. Pictures were not able to picked because they literally didn't put the correct options available for me to pick so they took it upon themselves to pick the pose they wanted to pick! Really a horrible experience and we had to go through them due to the schools request. Other one star reviews are not exaggerating in any way! My son, senior portraits are the worst quality ever. I have an older son where his school chose a different company by the name of White Studios. Now that is quality. We are very unhappy with this companies work. I also received the wrong order. They ended up mailing what was owed, but again bad quality it took about three weeks to get someone to help me with the missing images. I also placed my order back in mid February and it took about four months to get it back even though the turnaround time said 3 to 4 weeks. When I was able to contact someone, the staff is rude and they don't know how to make things better. I paid a lot of money for some pictures that I could have taken myself. Another thing is the senior portraits were taken with a black cap and gown, and they will be graduating in navy blue cap and gown with a yellow stole. If I could, I wouldn't even give them a star, but in order for me to rate, I have to give them at least one star. School's out there don't use this company. I was able to speak to her school and they are looking into changing the company they will be using for the following year as a lot of parents agree. read more

I gave 2 stars only because my kids pictures came out good and the lady in the front is really sweet and nice. Other then that the man who took my 16 year old daughters pictures was hitting on her keep in mind I wasn't in the room I was outside with her 2 siblings or I would've made a scene. I called to tell the manager took her a week to call me back after calling and sending emails. She assured me he was a replacement camera man. Nope he wasn't when I went to pick up there pictures he was walking out the back. She said she would send something special in my daughters packet nope didn't get anything. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Worst photo company I have ever dealt with. I honestly wish my son's school didn't do business with them. I have had to deal with their incompetence since 2018 and my son still has 3 more years of high school. Every time I called or emailed their owner, Sharon Lee, I was redirected to someone else. Then the staff I was redirected to would begin to give me excuses as to why my photos weren't ready or why they haven't been sent to the school, or why my order was all wrong. I was continuously given the runaround about my photo packages saying it would be delivered to the school but never received anything and even the school had no idea when they would be delivered. I am so disappointed, my son received his school ID card and the picture was so cute. I paid for the pictures in October. Both of my daughters recovers theirs in December. Here we are in June last week of school, I have not received the photos or a refund. The school said I had to reach out to Fotorama myself, so I did and immediately was told I could get a refund, or the photos. I requested the photos and was told they would be be delivered to the school last Thursday. Well that never happened, and now Sharon the only person to contact will not respond to my email or texts. read more

I had my sons senior portraits shot in January. It's October still have not received. I've emailed, text, Sent a DM no reply. Finally got through to someone on the phone said they would mail out my pictures "overnight" but they would waive like I haven't been waiting for over 7 months. I would give zero stars if that was an option. LAUSD should not use this photo studio. They are completely unprofessional in every aspect. They have the absolute worst customer service, and do literally nothing to make things right. Our order was messed up based on what a Fotorama rep advised my daughter the day of the photos. Only realized this when our order was delivered; I called and ordered the additional photos I originally wanted. I opted to have them delivered to the school. Over a month later, school is almost over and no photos. They told me they were delivered a week ago, so I send my daughter on what turns out to be a wild goose chase as her school as no photos and tells her Fotorama is unreliable (um, yep, I concur!). I call back, and now I am told the photos weren't delivered b/c they didn't have a delivery to that area recently. Then I am told the next time there is a delivery in that area they will be delivered. I remind them school is out in a week. Then they tell me it is too late for them to be delivered, making it sound like a school policy (what??), so I have to either pick them up in Gardena (!!) or pay a fee (1/3 of the price of the photos I ordered) to have them delivered. So over a month from the time I ordered, no photos, no call telling me that I need to make other arrangements, I am incorrectly told they were delivered, and then am then expected to pick them up or pay them more money to this company. We just walked in to get my daughter's graduation pics and our photographer was Nelson, he was patient, fun and attention to detail in every shot he took (my daughter don't like taking pictures). He made this a great experience not always you get that lucky with an amazing photographer for such a memorable and special occasion. We paid for our son's Sr. cap & gown photos in April. Called Fotorama early last week and was told the school might have them. We'll the school does NOT. Spoke with Fotorama again, last Friday. Sent them a screenshot of their site's page. Proof we paid for the order, along with the order number. We've yet to hear a thing. How hard is it to follow up and deliver what's promised? Everything's digital these days! There's even a proof of what we ordered on the screenshot. If this is Fotorama's standard practice, one good competitor and they'll be out of business. Not Better Business Bureau accredited. Piss-poor customer service. Everyone seems to be trained by a different person and no one understands policy/fees the same. They are not concerned about customer retention/satisfaction. Staff will nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING even after telling you that there is no charge for a particular procedure, no matter the amount. A retouch and a retake is not the same thing. HOWEVER, it depends on who is at the front desk on any given day. I am not discounting the quality of their product, but the absence of professional you're subjected to is not worth it! Horrible service, my daughter took her prom pictures with them at prom night about a year ago. They told me to check the prom category for each chip of pictures they had and there were no images provided of my daughter's prom pictures. I called them to see what was going on with my daughter's prom pictures and the manager was going to see what happened to just leave my information. I never received a phone call. I called two weeks later and they still didn't know anything, so I just told them to give me the refund for the amount I paid. They just send me the check, but I had to call seven times to get my refund back. Really bad service I don't recommend anyont to go to this studio to take your children's picture. It will take a year or longer to get your pictures or your money back. read more

I was greeted nicely by the receptionist in front and photographer Veronica made me feel comfortable and confident when taking my pictures, she even fixed my hair, provided me with a mirror before proceeding. I was able to pick out my Year book picture pose due to deadline approaching and she went over steps on how to select it online using my student ID number as my password. She handed me the barcode card on the steps and wrote down image number on card for me. Very helpful. read more

I ordered my daughters picture more than a month and a half ago and they always tell me when I call that they're going to send them to the school or that they are going to be there a certain day. I call and they give me the run around. All they care about is getting your money and don't warty about customer services or your order. If possible try and get a real professional to remove the water mark and get them done yourself. read more

Worse place to take pictures at, i took my cap and gown pics and the guy who took my picture was like as if he were in a rush, didn't even help me fix my cap so my hair is popping out and looked dumb. He also took half my pictures of me not smiling because he told me "don't smile" i literally only had two pictures of me smiling WTF is that. Not only that but I CHOSE a picture for the yearbook and for myself and they still proceeded to give me the wrong picture and use the wrong picture on the yearbook. ABSOLTUTE WORST SERVICE EVER I wanted ZERO stars but that wasn't an option So I went here after seeing their reviews had only 3 1/2 stars- Huge mistake!!!!! I will never do that again. Service was beyond AWFUL! I took family photos for my birthday on my actual birthday- this studio didn't return the photos until 3 weeks later ! On top of that, when I took the pics it was on an old tarpe spread that I thought they could swap out for a nice appropriate background. It was clear these pics were special by the way me and my family were dressed! NOPE! I was MORTIFIED to find that, that ugly blue tarpe spread was my actual background for my pics!?!!!! I asked if they could airbrush out the stains etc ... on the ugly Blue tarpe thing - I was assured they would only to pick up my pics and find that some pics STILL HAD THE STAINS!!!!! Even after asking them to remove the stains from those pics - I came back to find THE STAINS WERE STILL THERE!!! That star is a negative 1, star. I was just told I need to realize that they are in "finals" and I am not their only client but they've had my money for over 3 weeks now. I did not know they had finals. Because it usally takes about 2 - 3 weeks for them to print fotos. 3 weeks have come and gone and they can't, won't give me an ETA. I am thinking of disputing payment with my Credit Card company. They need to realize they are not the only photo studio company. Now I am told they may take at least 2 more weeks. read more

I can't review their photography because I still haven't received my student's senior portrait. This review is simply for their lack of customer service. Have not gotten any response since August 2021 when they took the pictures. They don't respond to emails or calls but still go to the schools to take pictures. We have been attempting to contact FOTORAMA for over a month after trying unsuccessfully to access our son's $300 senior portraits on their site. I have sent 4 emails and left numerous voicemails with absolutely no response. I call every day and nobody answers and/or a recording says their voicemail is full. What kind of business can't send a brief reply to an email? This is the first year our high school has used this studio and hopefully the last. Good luck ever seeing your kid's photos if you cannot access them on their site. They will not help you in any way, but they sure know how to charge you. Let me just start by saying Sharon Lee does a horrible job at managing and running this business. IF YOUR SCHOOL HAS FOTORAMA AS THE COMPANY FOR PICS, OPT OUT AND FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL DO GOOD BUSINESS WITH YOU AND GET UR PICS TO YOU!! She locks these schools in for profits and the service she provides the parents on the back end is horrible and not even close to being customer centric. Her system of tracking and keeping up with orders is broken. No one never knows where the school binder is that holds the receipt orders placed online by parents or at the school is always missing. Sharon sends text out saying the pictures are ready for pic up hoping that you don't check ur package because she hasn't included all photos for ur package if they can find it. Then when the error is brought to their attention they try to deny it, then when the customer proves them wrong they say ohhh ok we can fix it. But when you asked how long it will take, they then explain it will take 4-6 weeks as due to covid the photo processing is shut down. However they don't disclose this up front. I arrived on Friday the 17th to pick up my remaining pics from my sons original order they failed to give me months ago. There was only one employee working the front at 12:05 pm, phone were ringing off the hook, and she had 3 customers who needed actual customer service assistance. She explained more help would be in soon and multi tasked between all of us and the phones. I don't blame the employee for how the service was on Friday and all the prior days I've visited I blame SHARON LEE. When the employee asked me what I would need help with and I explained it's a pick up she couldn't locate anything. She explained that her coworker who should be back from lunch in 5 minutes would know where the order was and could better assist. Well it was 12:35 pm and the employee had not returned until 12:45 pm. Another customer had the same issue, no school folder to be found or order. When the person returned from lunch she couldn't locate the pictures and then came back to explain that "ohhhh the school picked up the photos and he looks like he was on the list". I explained to her that the school is not the consumer, the school didn't pay for the pics and the school wasn't authorized by me the consumer to act on my behalf to take the pictures. Then I explained you have two options when ordering online: pick up or pay $10 for delivery to your home. So why in the world would you think allowing some person from the school to take what I rightfully paid for out of my pocket would be feasible or acceptable? Why was there no phone call to every parent who's pictures were taken without authorization notified? Why didn't the school reach out and say they have the pics available for pick up? Why when I visited the front office right before my arrival to Fotorama today didn't the office administrators say hey we have Jaydon's pictures (they know who Jaydon is)? I asked the girl to get me someone who could right this wrong as I would no longer be playing mouse n goose chase about these pictures. I'm the consumer, I paid for a service, I expect a service and I expect my pictures. She explained no one was available but she could Re-print and mail to my home address for me. I agreed and then said please can I have an ETA on this as I have people traveling in from out of town needing the pics upon arrival. She says well we are not currently processing orders due to covid and our lab is closed down right now so maybe in 4-8 weeks you will have them. That's when I really got upset and said your supervisor, owner or manager has employees. Drive and find my pics and have them mailed to me. I didn't create this mess but your company sure will fix the mess they created. This is unacceptable and you need to hire an IT specialist to come in and help take this paper processing system away for these orders because this company/office is all disorganized. Go to a university or college grab a new grad, pay them to come in and revamp this process and get a operations manager in here to maintain the system moving forward. It's unacceptable for SHARON LEE to come into a minority area to make large profits and treat customers this way. LAUSD should do a better job at choosing who they allow to come into their school sites to do business. If a business is not in good standing and has horrible customer service they should not be allowed to access a contract with the school. I will be suggesting that LAUSD revisit their choice of photo vendors moving forward. Maybe now that we have DE&I we can give another company a chance to make this money and do right by the parents. Everything is Sharon is not available but I'll try to have her call you or call this number. Just unacceptable!!! If your school has this business listed opt out as I will for future school pics and find my own photographer for future needs. read more

I barely come here to put negative review, however, this has been the worst ever experience we have had with a picture day at school in 12 years. The so-called photographer named Nelson was one of the to photographers supposed to be at the school today, he was so nasty with my kid, who is autistic, he started to yell at him because he didn't pose the way "he" wanted. After calling him up and telling him our son has a disability, he just ignored him, grabbed him by the chest and twisted his head aggressively so my wife has to jump in in order to protect our kid. When my wife asked his name he didn't answer, however, one of the abilities of our kid is that he memorizes names pretty quick, thus, he just told the name. If you ever need a photo day for your school or any other event, please, take a wise decision and think twice what I and others have posted here.
