To top it off, the price was very reasonable, especially considering the speeds and Verizon's up-front installation cost. I was very skeptical when Frontier took over Verizon's SoCal FiOS network. But to my delight, the network has continued to remain top-notch (knock on wood). Speeds are always as promised and my round-trip pings to the backbone in downtown LA are consistently ~2ms. That is strong evidence of a clean, well-managed network. My only complaints are mild: the semi-annual price increases are annoying, but I have always been able to solve them with a quick phone call. The chatbot on their website is terrible. And, perhaps a bit more significantly, I am disappointed that they have been kicking the IPv6 can down the road for years. Finally, on the extremely rare times I've needed a tech visit (just once or twice for ONT upgrades) or a support call (once that I recall due to a very weird issue with my - not their - router), I've found them to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
