Not a great experience. This place falls in the category of a lot of potential but not so good at delivering. We visited a few months ago and weren't too impressed with the service or food but decided to give it another shot. We arrived and waited at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes before we were greeted despite two employees being present. They waited another 3 minutes or so to be helped. Super cool experience for a sisters night out/date night! Myself, my husband and my three sisters along with their husbands visited Foundry's on a Friday evening. We made reservations for a table to eat dinner. When we walked in, we were sat right away. The server was already at our table, asking what he could get us to drink. Our food came out hot, fresh, and attractive! We ordered cheese curd appetizer (large), and spinach dip to share. These appetizers came out so quickly which was great because we were all starving! The large size cheese curds was a great choice for the amount of people we had. Some of us got burgers, some of us got fish, some of us got salad, and every single plate was delicious. The prices are great, I was expecting it to be more expensive, but it was definitely affordable. After dinner, we got up and got drinks and looked around the place. There are so many activities to do. You could stay busy all night! There was also a live band, which was pretty cool. One suggestion would be to reserve spots for bowling, cornhole, switch, board, or anything else you would like to do there right when you walk in. There was quite a wait for a few of those things. What a fun environment! Mixing tasted food with indoor racing, bowling, bean bag toss, and more was a great way to unwind after a day. We took a team of 7 and enjoyed a great way to talk, drink, and have friendly competition. Used for our office party and nothing but good things to say! Fun place for all ages to attend the event! Loved the look and feel of the room as well as the layout! Easy to move around and mingle! Overall this place is a bust. Half the arcade games don't work and the place is always overcrowded. Recently went there for the New Years Eve masquerade. It was so disorganized. I put my name in for the waiting list for cornhole and was told one person was ahead of me. After some time goes by, I noticed 2 new groups on the board. I went to the front desk to ask about that and was told you pretty much have to wait and see when the boards become available and try to jump in. So it's absolutely pointless to get on a waiting list. So afterwards when I finally got on the boards, I had to provide my ID for the bags. When I finished up, I returned the bags to the front and got what I thought was my ID back. It wasn't until after they closed I discovered I was handed someone else's ID. I have no idea where mine went. Of course they are closed today on New Years Day but now I will have to go through the hassle of finding my ID and giving back the person who's ID I have. I booked an event a few weeks ago and had issues with them overbooking our room and not giving me the right amount of races we paid for. And it taking is 2 hours to complete 3 races when we only had a reservation to be there for 4 hours. They handled that situation that night and I was appreciative, but it just seems like every time I come to this place I always have some sort of issue. I'm going to take that as a sign and avoid this place from here on out. read more

First time and last time. Great idea but what a let down. Food is sub par. They like to reserve everything with parties. So if you walk in all the open tables where reserved. The biggest pain is trying fig where to park. DONT park in the back lot. You have to walk a county mile thru warehouse's to it. They should at least warn you. read more

Terribly disappointed in this place. Don't bother dropping-in without a reservation or they will be extremely rude and kick you out. When we first walked in they told us it was "first come first serve", so our group of 6 proceeded to get drinks at the bar and choose one of the half dozen empty tables to sit at. After sitting there for awhile we had to flag someone down for a menu, and when we went to order food they said our table was reserved and we only had an hour to be there...so as irritating as this was, misunderstandings happen, and we told them that we wouldn't order food, just our drinks for another hour until the reserved party showed up. Then the manager comes over telling us that the party is here...an hour early and we need to leave right now. So once again, we try reasoning with these people, asking if there is any other table we can sit at temporarily (like the one behind us that hadn't been cleaned the entire time we were there). He continued to tell us that all of their tables were reserved and there was nowhere for us to relocate to.(Also, did I mention they were participating in a bar crawl, which is why we were there, and still weren't welcoming.) Wild thought, but maybe don't participate in it if you don't want drop-in customers. We chugged our drinks and left, at that point not wanting to spend another dime at their establishment. We went to Johnny J's for the rest of the night until about midnight spending a nice chunk on drinks/food/music/pool games. This place clearly doesn't want to serve their customers well, or want them to return. It's a fun place to try out. Lots of TVs. Connected to the go-karting, which was fun to watch. Mostly picnic-table style seating. The food was adequate bar food. The games are a fun distraction--there is only one ping pong table...maybe put another one in. There is a nice room for a private party as well. Pretty good beer selection. This place is so cool! It's a massive place which all kinds of games. From arcade games to ping pong and high voltage is right next door for some fun and fast driving! Bowling, bocce, and pool tables are other games to play. This place is a blast for any adults and young adults. The food was really good. Cooked properly and large portion sizes. We both got a sandwich- burger and chicken. You can choose between fries or tater tots. They have a ton of beverage options and seasonal options too. There is a brewery in this same building as well. They had happy hour and a weekly meal special. The games were not expensive. 20 tokens for $6 which we played a bunch of games with those 20 tokens. Large open parking lot. The waiter was in training and did a nice job. It wasn't busy so they were very attentive to if we needed anything. Super easy chill place to bring friends or host a party at. Love the atmosphere and old school games. Definitely great use of the space, I'm really glad we have something like that in Medina. The food was a mix of meh and solid. Potato skin apps were better than solid, meatloaf sandwich not so much. Service at the bar was horrific. Was sitting at the bar, i asked to order food- I was told they weren't sure the kitchen was serving (8 pm on a Saturday). Then they said I would actually get my food faster if I waited to order because they were backed up. Not sure the math checks out. Then we waited more than 20 minutes to not be served any drinks at all. I did get to watch some stoned out rookie bartender learn how to make a Manhattan though, so that was cool. Concept is cool and looks great inside but we had many issues on our visit, from food to service, parking and just overall experience. With the food portion size was great but actual quality/taste was very sub par. We were in a group of nine and all tried and shared different things- bacon fries and tator tots were pretty good, potato skins and pork wings were just average (wing sauce was delicious and good quantity but overcooked a bit), but chicken in salad was super dry (two people got and both were very dry), sausage sliders were dry and just not that great (also the person ordered meatloaf sliders and got that instead), and fried mac and cheese had kind of a weird taste. Also, with the Lettuce Eat More salad, it says on the menu it's supposed to come with a sweet roll. Both salads ordered did not come with one, so we asked the waitress and she said she wasn't sure why the menu says that because they never serve it with a roll (if they never do thats fine, but then make sure it doesn't say that on the menu)? Someone else at the table also wanted to order the pretzels but they were "out of them." As for the waitress, she did not come around often, forgot orders/requests several times throughout the evening and never once took back old plates when we were done- they just piled up on our table throughout the night making it hard to have room for everything. Also told us on two different occasions she would be unavailable for 5-10 minutes because she had to use the restroom (never heard that before, thought it was kind of odd, and she said it twice to us?). After eating we tried the bowling but the pins kept getting messed up. We had to have a guy come and look at it three different times and still ultimately couldn't fix it, so we had to ask for our money back, which they were kind enough to do (I see other reviews said bowling was great, so may not be a common issue, might've just been bad luck on our part). Upon trying to leave that night, we found we were blocked in. Apparently we had parked in the employee lot but there was nowhere saying you couldn't park there, and actually there are signs when you first pull in saying how there is excess parking in back, which is what we did. So we parked there and found on our way out we got blocked in by another truck to where you couldn't get out and after mentioning it to an employee, another employee (manager?) came out and said we weren't supposed to park there and it was for employees? So parking could be more clearly marked, and I would remove the sign saying excess parking in back, or clearly mark the employee section so cars can't get in there if they're not supposed to and can get blocked in. I don't really write reviews much so don't mean to "complain" but feel like this could be a really cool spot, especially as there's not much like it in the area. There's just a lot of little things that need to be addressed/fine-tuned, and quickly, otherwise I feel people may start writing this place off after their first visit if a bad experience and not come back. read more

We randomly found the Foundry on our way home from Christmas in the Woods and it was such a great find ! We had the loaded nachos and they were so good. The chips are house made and the best I've ever had. We also had a pizza and it was loaded down with toppings and was delicious as well. The decor and atmosphere is very neat! I was really excited to give this place a try, cool concept in a unique space. However, I was utterly disappointed. We waited over 30 minutes for a server to come to our table, and this was after asking 4 time for assistance. We ordered beers and a few snacks for the table. When the order arrived we go nothing in the way of napkins, cutlery or plates. So we were left to fend for ourselves and scavenge from other tables. The food was meh at best. I'd suggest eating BEFORE you go and just play the games and ride the karts. Set your expectations low and you'll be fine. read more

we went in on Saturday with another couple as we do once a month for the last three years to have dinner, drinks and play shuffleboard. our reservation was for 5:00 p.m. and we arrived at about 4:55 and asked if the shuffleboard table was available and we were told that someone had just rented it out for an hour so we said no problem, we would then like to rent it from 6:00 to 8:00. after eating dinner around 6:15 our waitress said she was going to go and check in the shuffleboard table for us. the manager then comes to our table and tells us the table will not be available until 6:45 and I asked why when we came in before 5:00 it was rented for one hour and we rented it after that and it's now 6:30 and her response was you rent it for the play time and the people before you stopped to eat for 45 minutes so they now have it until 6:45. that's BS we have been doing this for three years and that is not how it works! she then comes back and says it's 6:30 so do you still want it from now till 8:30 and I said yes but if we decide to stop and eat again for an hour I guess we get it until 9:30 and apparently she did not like my response and walked away! read more

I love to see a place like this in Medina, it's something new and fun that locals + people from NEO can come to enjoy. This place is MASSIVE with high voltage racing, old school games, corn hole, bowling, etc. I think they've done a great job turning the place into a fun, competitive socializing experience that I'd say is way more fun than Scene 75 in Brunswick...if they can tweak a few things. My one complaint is that the menu is limited. In an atmosphere like Foundry Social, I'd expect a variety of flatbreads, handheld items and salads. I ended up custom ordering a chicken sandwich that was served dry and didn't come with half the toppings I asked for. However, I'd like to note that the service staff was very friendly - especially the hostess stand! For entertainment, a lot of the vintage video games were busted. Id like to see more investment into games and I hope to see those up and running next time. I also think that the pay to play game (like bocce ball, indoor bowling) are overpriced. As a side note: I'm curious if there are plans to host live bands? Friday night entertainment could be great here! Overall we enjoyed ourselves at Foundry Social and will be back. Not that this isn't a good place but we had no warning and before all our food was delivered we were evicted because we had kids and apparently there is a curfew which should be posted prominently or verbalized at the time you are seated. We were given such a bums rush that my wife's cobble was packaged up as raw components and we were told to bake it ourselves. The fair thing to do would have been to comp us for the mistake (totally theirs). We understand and can completely support such a rule if it is made public knowledge before one orders. Also on this particular night had we received our order in a timely manner, we wouldn't have been there when the curfew came...but since we were drinking a beer we tolerated the wait. This experience soured us so much that what might have become a regular haunt for us is now on my avoid list. read more
