We called ahead to get a table reserved on a Saturday evening. Our waitress was great. Food was average at best. But my biggest issue was that there were two birthday parties there that night that reserved bowling cornhole and the race track. The only thing that was available to play were four ski ball machines and a few video games . There were quite a few people complaining. When I complained to the manager he said that people come for the food.. they don't. Most people don't mind waiting for their turn if the place is crowded but it was so disappointing to not have any of the advertised games available all evening. Are you around Akron area and wondering what to do at evening? Here is the place! Still a new opened place in Medina. We came around 6pm and the place was slightly empty, what I actually liked. I went with my friend and two kids. We reserved bowling for two people. The bowling wasn't classic but more kiddie version. Each player needed to pay 6.95$ what I thought was expensive. The entertainment center had other activities: pool, some arcade games, bocce, and other games that I didn't know. I highly enjoyed the atmosphere and service. Our waitress was smiley and attentive. She gave me good suggestions about my order. I also liked their specialty cocktails but unfortunately I forgot the name. Great place and I would highly suggest to visit with a bigger company. FS has the total hipster vibe going on. There are retro gaming consoles that are free to play. The stand-up video games require tokens. They also have a bunch of board games to check out at the hostess stand at the front. All over are comfy couches and high-top seating. The bar has ample seats around it and unlike the other reviews, I did not find the bartenders to be grouchy or inattentive. I also don't understand why another Yelp'er would get upset about plastic cups. If you want a glass, just ask! I think the biggest hit for our group was the duckpin bowling. It is similar to regular bowling except you don't wear old stinky bowling shoes and the lane is much shorter. The server told me that they imported the duckpin machines from Germany. Don't be turned off by the grumpy Yelp reviews. I am sorry if they didn't have good service, but we had no complaints the two times we have been so far. It would be for bachelor parties or corporate events. I peeked my head into one of the meeting rooms in the back and you could easily host 150 people. FS got a lot to offer and I don't think anybody else has anything better. Note you can walk between both the go-kart track and the new bar/games area, so park on either side in the front or the back has plenty of parking. Note that there is an entrance in back too, and you only have to walk through more of the old foundry to get there. I wonder what they are going to do with all of that space... We came here to celebrate a family birthday and there were 10 of us total and we had a giant square table which worked perfectly! We got a ton of apps and couldn't even picture them all. It was an easy way to try a lot of the food and share with this many people. There is a ton to do there for all ages and even though it was packed it wasn't hard to do the things you wanted to or games. My only suggestion is park in the back to start (don't worry there is many entrances to the place, so no matter where you park won't be far to get in) read more

Just went to this place yesterday. We went early so it wasn't very crowded! I will say all the games are great and fun to play. The drinks were good as well. The huge negative was the food. Husband got the fish sandwich. Every bite, still had tiny bones in it. When he told the waiter, not even an apology or acknowledgement of being served poor food. He even set the tiny bones on top the sandwich so he could see them. I also got the chicken wrap with tots and was pretty sick the rest of the night. That's a pricy bill for a very poor food experience! If you go, I say go for drinks and games! Skip on the dinner. read more

Service was good, staff was friendly. I was not impressed with management when there was a problem with another patron. A family was playing duckpin bowling and having a birthday party when a woman let her child wander over and started bowling in our lane (4 lanes over!) She let him (even encouraged him to) and when my husband stopped her , she said "Sorry, F-you". He then responded "You can't say sorry when you just let him do that" and she screamed "F-you bit#h" in front of our 7 and 11 year old. This traumatized the kids and upset everyone ruining out experience. The manager came over profusely apologized and gave us a handful of gift certificates. They did not speak to her and let them stay. We decided to leave. I am disappointed there was no consequence for this woman and management was so intimidated that they did not ask her to leave. Yessss! This is one fun place for a group get together. We had a family gathering/rehearsal dinner here and we all had so much fun. There's truly fun games for everyone here, from cornhole to shuffle board to video games and the high voltage go karts. This was our first first in July 2023. The staff was really friendly and let us walk around to explore--entertainment was everywhere! We came to listen to Danny Christian, who was a solo artist playing acoustic guitar and danced to most of his songs. I went here with my husband on a Friday evening. We made reservations ahead of time. We loved it! The games were fun, it wasn't too crowded, and our service was good. Only cons were there was a party of what seemed like middle school aged kids running around, and that was a little less than enjoyable. Foundry Social, a very large venue, did a fantastic job with our recent birthday party. You can rent several sections of the Foundry Social and use their catering for your event. Laura, Alexa and staff were right on key when organizing the 2 tier party room! They answered all questions, let us review the room set-up and had great communication throughout the process. i should disclose, up front, that i am employed (so far) elsewhere by the same owners of Foundry Social. earlier this spring i'd started to look into a few options for my wife's 40th birthday. she's usually the designated driver when we go out because i don't see well enough to drive at night. so, i wanted to plan something where she didn't have to drive. initially i'd considered things like party buses, etc., but all were incredibly expensive and i don't consider it cool to invite people out only to ask them to chip into the cost of the evening. after a while, i just kinda gave up looking. my wife suggested we try Foundry Social because we'd been there several times to eat or play trivia and she's always enjoyed it. so we stopped by one day after lunch. i don't want to get too much into this visit because i hurt some feelings and don't want to do it again - let's just say there were some perceived miscommunications as i misunderstood what was packaged w/ the rental of the Slow Lane. anyway, the night was great fun. we had some food catered from both Foundry Social kitchen and from their catering partner, Dominic's. we ended up w/ plenty of leftovers. as always, FS had a great selection of beers to drink and we also toasted the night with several shots. duckpin bowling was a great time though, i assumed some would want to play video games as well and bought tokens no one used - oh well, more for us next time. i want to thank Brian and Greg and the rest of the ownership/management at Foundry Social. the first round of drinks was complimentary at Brian's behest. thanks man. again, great time. well worth it and i apologize if i hurt feelings outside of this Yelp review. read more

Hate to get my Karen on but...Went with a group of 10. Tried to play cornhole but were told it was rented for hours by a private company. Tried the duckpin bowling and were told it was rented for hours by a private company (till 9). Went to do the go karts and it was rented for hours by a private company. When we complained at the counter there were a whole bunch of people complaining about the same thing. And of course everyone not from the company is left fighting to play what was left. This probably works when it isn't crowded but could definitely see that being a mess otherwise. Our waiter was basically no where to be found for most of our time there. About 14 of us showed up for a family fun night out. It was my first time however, I do believe others had been before. The atmosphere was cool, place was clean and it was NOT overcrowded, overall I was looking forward to a fun evening. Fast forward to us trying to settle up tabs and leave. Since they ran my card when I initially ordered, I assumed it would be easy peasy. I paid for the stuff on my tab and my little sub-group left. During our drive home, we start getting texts about how someone left without paying and the manager had taken a picture of one of the other folks that were still there license plate and advised the group that the police would be in contact. Aghast, because there was NO intent to dine and dash one of remaining party members paid extra, and is still not sure if the item in question was paid for twice. There was no conversation with the server or manager regarding any unpaid tabs prior to the manager stating the police would be in contact. Not sure if the staff was genuinely confused, or just did not take the time to move past unconscious bias since our group was the only chocolate chips in the cookie. I really hope that this place turns around. The concept is fantastic, the atmosphere is inviting but the service was simply awful. We walked in and got a pin bowling lane right away - Great! I had to ask for a waiter 3 times, by the 5th frame of 4 bowlers, I gave up and went to the bar that was also considerably slow for not being exceptionally busy. We dined at The Foundry last night to continue our support for local businesses during COVID. I was taken back at the mask compliance by every staff member, the socially distanced patrons and still the amazing food. Our server was amazing and even practiced socially distancing while trying to deliver our food to our table. In addition to every single employee appropriately wearing their masks, the mask policy was reinforced with all of the customers too.
