This is the best place for a deluxe cheese burger in Snohomish County but the best thing about the Fountain Restaurant is the crinkle cut fries. I am a local Arlington resident and I eat at the fountain often. I try not to top it off with a chocolate shake because of the calories but the ice cream and milk shakes are the best. Food was good, wait time was okay, drinks were fine, but service was poor, the young gal looked and acted like she did not want to work. Drink was not brought to me and had to ask for dipping sauces, as she did not ask if we wanted any sauces, as for others I've been there they always ask if we want or need anything. This is one of the few long standing restaurants left in Arlington and is well worth the visit. It's been around for over 50 years and still makes the best burger in town. The cost is a set back but a McDonalds it ain't so it's well worth it. The staff, my mother being one of them, is polite and very flexible on every order. You can virtually create your own burger. Worst Burger dip I've ever had. Not too mention the cook when I walked in at 9:10pm looked at me like I was no one and literally waited five minutes before anyone at the front counter was there to help. When the food was brought out their were no napkins or anything it was very awkward let alone any napkins available on the table. The best hang over food ever! The buns are toasted with butter to perfection, real bacon, shredded lettuce and super yummy mayo. You might want to get a double the patties are a little thin, but definitely bomb! I didn't know French fries were supposed to have any flavor besides potato.. They are fried perfectly to a crisp. I was disappointed that I came here yesterday for ice cream and they were out of 3 of the flavors I chose. Burger and fries were good. My wife and I tried the chocolate soft serve. It was the absolute worst. She brought them to us and they were off white in color, not a chocolate color. They tasted horrible. You thought the server would have known something was wrong. My wife took hers back and exchanged for chocolate hard ice cream. The Banana Split was delicious! And so are their milkshakes. Very well done. However that's the only good thing I can say about the Fountain Drive in. The customer service was terrible! Me and my grandparents went here and waited for a good twenty or thirty minutes waiting for our burgers. When they finally came, I was disappointed. My "Deluxe" bacon cheeseburger didn't have a lot of flavor to it, the bun was a bit greasy, and was on the expensive side. The fries were ok, but they put a lot of salt on them and I ordered some barbecue sauce to go with them. We came in for dinner with the entire family after our move to Arlington. The food was terrible. It was all frozen pre-prepared, pre-cooked foods, then burnt. Burgers were bad, fish burger was bad. The only good items our party of 5 ordered was the French Fries and Chocolate Shake. The entire restaurant was run by teenagers who were more preoccupied with grab-assing each other than cooking and cleaning. My family and I ate at this restaurant for the first time recently as we wanted to support local business. However, we were all REALLY disappointed! I have heard people talk about their burgers being good? NO WAY. They were a tiny little patty. And the onion rings were no good either. In fact, they barely had any onion in them at all. This place is WAY over priced. I brought my family (2 adults 2 kids) for burgers, shakes and fries and spent over $60. While the food was mediocre it was definately not worth the price. The place is DIRTY looks like they haven't cleaned the carpet some 1961. The service was horrible. The server put every single thing right in front of the baby. The high chair has velcro that's so old it doesn't even secure. We ended up holding the baby the entire time. Im all for local establishments but this one stinks! read more

The Fountain rocks. The food is amazing burger-joint food. It's a little spendy but to support local business owners and for how tasty it is, I think it's worth it. It takes about 10 minutes to get your food because they cook it when you order it. If the place is slammed, yes, it may take 2-5 minutes longer. The help at the counter is generally high school girls and usually their first job. Hopefully when you go, you get a good one. The older staff is mostly family and have worked there forever. There are lots of choices, something for everyone...grilled cheese & corn dogs for kids (or the kid in us), a salad & veggie burgers for healthier fare, 3 meat, 3 cheese, ham & bacon burger for the big eaters. This place is by far the WORST dining experience we have ever had. Over priced burgers. Ordered a shake and that was a mistake. It had chunks of ice in it and tasted like water. The burger we ordered with no onions came smothered in onions. We tried to let them know our order was messed up and the shake was no good. They were RUDE and basically told us NOT to come back. They don't care. They said "they are doing just fine with business and not to worry about them" Funny, Friday night and the only person in there was not eating just having a soda.
