Belgian Waffles, Roasted Potatoes, asparagus, French Toast, cheese offerings
    Paula C.

I was thrilled to take two of my grown children to Christmas Brunch at The Fountain at the Fairmont. My expectations were high since it was $100 per person--a steep price for a buffet--but I was excited about spending quality time together without the hassle of cooking. Overall, the buffet delivered on food and ambiance. There were countless stations offering freshly made omelets, waffles, and French toast for breakfast, a salad bar, a charcuterie section, and a seafood station with fresh crab, prawns, and sushi. For lunch, we enjoyed prime rib and ham carved to order, accompanied by sides like mushroom truffle ravioli, roasted vegetables, and various potato options. The dessert spread was impressive, featuring a chocolate fondue fountain with fresh fruit and Rice Krispie treats, torched-to-order crème brûlée, and a variety of bite-sized cakes and mousse desserts. The festive Christmas décor and proximity to the outdoor ice-skating rink added to the holiday spirit, making the setting truly magical. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest disappointment and prevented this from being a 5-star experience, despite the built-in gratuity on the bill. From the start, we waited over 10 minutes after being seated to even be greeted by our server. Throughout the meal, I repeatedly had to ask for basic things like water refills, a second mimosa (which took three separate requests), and for empty plates to be cleared. I had told our server, Alberto, to keep the mimosas coming and was assured they'd be waiting at the table when we returned with food--but they weren't. At one point, I had to ask the manager for water because the service was so lacking. Adding to the frustration, it took another 10 minutes to receive the bill after handing over my credit card. As a former restaurant server, I recognize the challenges of holiday shifts and always make a point to thank the staff working on special days. I also understand what it takes to provide basic service during a brunch buffet--and this wasn't a matter of being overwhelmed, as Alberto seemed to prioritize a larger party of eight over our smaller group of three. The ambiance and food made for a memorable Christmas celebration, but the inattentive service dampened the experience. If the basics like drink refills and plate clearing had been better managed, this could have been a perfect outing.

I really wanted fluffy pancakes but didn't feel like making them, so I figured I'd treat my boyfriend and myself to a nice local brunch without a crowd. I booked a reservation and we walked over. The restaurant is located inside the Hilton, the ambiance is beautiful and elegant. Made for a nice brunch. Let me start by saying that our waiter was elite. He was on top of everything. We didn't even have to ask for water, coffee, or extra napkins. These little things made our experiences so much more enjoyable--10/10 for service. The food: Pancakes for the table Steak and poached eggs (ya girl was hungry) Lobster benedict for Mr. Fancy Pants The pancakes were exactly what I wanted, and I was very happy with the amount of fluff. The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection, and my cravings were satisfied. Fancy Pants liked his lobster Benedict; however, he wasn't thrilled with the artichoke heart it was presented on; he was looking forward to the English muffin. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed every bite! Thank you!

3.5/5 Stars. Rounding up to 4 stars Came to Fountain Restaurant for a work breakfast. The coffee came quickly, a big plus. The food itself was decent (4/5), but it took a bit longer than expected to arrive. Service was tad on the slower side (3/5), which wasn't ideal for a morning meal when time is limited. Prices were a little high for what you get (3/5), so the value wasn't the best. Overall, an okay spot if you're not in a rush, but not a go-to for a quick and efficient breakfast.

Only place downtown I could find an açaí bowl and it was delicious! I swapped the avocado for mango and drizzled honey on top and it was delightful.

I met up with a couple of friends for a late lunch on Sunday. It was my first time there and my friends recommended the French Toast; which we all ended up ordering. They use brioche bread which was delectable! And it was beautifully presented! Fountain deserves a spot on the rotation.

stayed at signia and went downstairs to the restaurant. your average breakfast place. got the yogurt bowl, belgian waffle, all american breakfast plate, and a side of pork sausage. a bit overpriced and we had to wait awhile for our food.

I ordered the Steak and eggs and it was so good! I got the meat cooked medium and the eggs over medium and it was probably the best thing on their menu! The inside seating was also very nice! I really liked the modern simple design because it was very open, brightly lite with a modern white interior with blue ascents. It was also very clean and spacious. In my party they also ordered the three egg omelette and Salmon Florentine. Service was 10/10! All the staff was very friendly and attentive. My group felt special and well taken care of. We had a reservation for a big group to celebrate my coworker's baby shower. I really like how they even prepared a separate section for us with an extra table to place our gifts and to have more space. It is located inside the Hilton hotel and street parking is free on Sundays. If it's any other day there is metered parking, valet parking and garage parking a few blocks away. This location is a hidden gem and can easily be a good brunch date or for hosting a group gathering. I definitely plan to come back and I highly recommend them!

This place has great ambiance and is located conveniently in the Hilton. Service was good until the end. Waited for long at the end to pay the bill with my credit card. Guess they assumed I would charge to my room. and ambiance was superb! Food needs a little help. Started with "fresh squeezed" orange juice which is definitely store bought. Tastes good but wasn't freshly squeezed. Latte was a better choice for a hot beverage. Has great flavor. Steel cut oatmeal was ok. Fruit on top was fresh. Served with milk and syrup on the side...who uses syrup on oatmeal? My wife tried the Lobster Benedict and she said it's a 3.5 out of 5. She would have ordered something else.

Located in Hilton San Jose, this was one of the most popular brunch place in that area. We decided to give it try and the food was ok it wasn't over the top or any different from other brunch place but it was super expensive. The ambiance was ok as well, it wasn't like I would host anything g there but it was casual. We order four different things and they were all delicious. What stood out from everything else was our server. He was very friendly and made us feel so welcomed. The wait without the reservation was long, I am glad we made reservations before we went. I will always remember a $25.00 Avocado Toa

Great hotel restaurant. Service was a bit iffy as they forgot a few of my asks, but overall the food is good. Their omelette and eggs are well sized, well cooked, and filling. Coffee was decent - nothing special for a latte. Convenient for hotel stayers.

I must say it felt like the second we walked in they took our order and food arrived. The acai bowl was acceptionaly delicious. I recommend this reastraunt

Steak and Eggs Breakfast with a Mimosa
    Lisamarie R.

I decided that I wanted steak and some form of breakfast this morning. I went on Yelp and conducted a search, Fountain popped up and their steak and eggs looked so yummy! I walked over and was seated immediately, such great hospitality, which doesn't compare to the food! Let me tell you...that steak was so delicious that I ate it slow to savor the taste. The asparagus, eggs, tomatoes, and potatoes were cooked just right and that sauce (I don't know what it is, enhanced the flavor of the meal). The coffee was fresh and the Mimosa was excellent. I will be visiting again!

They had some Fanime specials for the con (katsu and egg salad sandwiches, spam musubi), seasonal drinks, of course coffees and teas, and non caffeinated drinks, as well as some food too (heated up pastries, both sweet and savory). There's a restroom with a code and a couple seats and tables with outlets to charge your devices. Service was welcoming and efficient especially after the crowds started to pick up. I got the: 1) Egg Salad Sando: -You can tell these were handmade in store. They had cute washi tape to hold the packaging together. -Solid egg salad sandwich. Slightly sweet white bread and generous amount of egg salad inside the sandwich. Creamy mayo taste that isn't too sour or tart, lots of egg in it. Perfect for an anime con next door. 2) Cappuccino: -I got this no sugar and sugar free and it came out with some pretty latte art. I thought it was mostly ok and boyfriend thought so too, but after several sips and when it was too late since we really had to get to the con, it just became too disgustingly sweet for him and he had to throw it away. 3) Yuzu Fresh Fruit Sparkler: -Yuzu puree with sparkling soda water. -Refreshing and not bad, but even after mixing this was a bit sweeter than what I would have liked and again, in our rush to leave, we couldn't really get this adjusted. I ended up pouring most of it in a water bottle to enjoy later and put in my bag. But ended up not finishing it in the end. Maybe next year I'll try again or just stick to the food stuffs.

When walking, we missed the restaurant initially because this place is clearly, a hidden gem, especially being hidden along the nightclub strip. We were blown away by the curated vibes. From the thoughtful decor to The Office being projected on the wall. It felt hip, fresh and refined. We decided to craft our own drinks - Arnold Palmers, his favorite. But they only had sparkling lemonade, which actually made it even better. We shared a salad that had some cooked pears and squash alongside the greens, walnuts, cranberries and blue cheese. I do feel like the cooked sweet elements overpowered the salad with their sweetness and textures a bit. Wondering if a refreshing pear for crunch or more dressing could have brightened it up and provided a salty, sweet balance. I ordered the Short Ribs with a parsnip purée and roasted carrots and it did not disappoint. Everything paired beautifully together, perfectly salted and cooked. I finished the entire plate. Dad got the Pork Chop and while it was overcooked, he loved the flavors happening in the dish and was pleasantly surprised by the refreshing treatment of the kale. The staff was attentive and very friendly. Overall a great experience. We would definitely come back!

I ask you how can you go to a new restaurant and not have some dessert. With everything else being so good our expectations were pretty high and we were not disappointed. The Giant Profiterole is exactly that GIANT and stuffed with White Chocolate Gelato and Hot Chocolate Sauce that you can drizzle over the top. To fricken die for good. If you are in Willow Glen and you don't stop here you are missing out on something wonderful. Be kind to one another

The Table was a really big miss for me. The outside of the restaurant was very cute, and the inside…read morehad nice vibes. From the start, the waitstaff was standoffish and not very friendly. When we were seated, we were given a list of items that were not available. I originally wanted to try the pancakes but ended up ordering the chicken sandwich instead. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible. For the price and quality, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.
