Stopped in at this Midtown brunch spot on a Sunday around 12:30pm. Chic, modern setup and about a 10-minute wait for a table, which was fine. The food is the reason to come. Crab cake benedict and tiramisu pancakes were simply amazing. The benedict came with a proper crab cake in place of the usual ham, and the tiramisu pancakes were a clever dessert-leaning take on brunch. Some of the best brunch food I've had in a while! Here's the catch. It's loud, loud enough that we had to practically scream across the table to hear each other. And the service really dragged. Almost 20 minutes just for the pancakes, then another 10 for the rest, so half of us were eating while the others waited. I know it was busy, but that's rough. Our server was sweet and clearly doing her best so this one wasn't on her. The kitchen is good enough that I'd come back regardless. But if they fix the service to match the food, this place could be next level. Definitely recommended for food not for the service.

Quiet Sat morning 8am, it was not busy and the restaurant was 30% full when we walked in. Space was a little tight between tables. Service was mediocre: missing settings, asked to refill my coffee after I paid my bill instead during my meal. I sense the server was more tired than me, but it's ok not everyone is running 100% daily. The food presentation wasn't fancy but the taste of was absolutely stunning. I can see why the place was packed before 9am when we left.

Food was ok but service needs improvement. Our party of 4 was sat but the party after us got water and menus first. We were ready to order food now since we had plenty of time and waited so long but when a waiter arrived to our table he stated he was only taking drink orders and that someone else would be there soon for our food order. After ordering food, eating and waiting for the check we never got a refill of water. Nobody asked us if we wanted boxes or the check. They just kept waking around us. The ladies went to the restroom and left 1 at the table to pay. We waited in a looooong line came back and they still hadn't dropped off the bill. We finally had to be assertive and grabbed the next waiter we saw like "please we know you're not our waiter but give us the bill so can we leave!!! Very Cute place. Love the look of it and outdoor seating was lovely but definitely won't be back if I'm in the area again.

Long wait if you come at the wrong times. Food was good albeit overpriced. Steak was the best, didn't feel the gravy.

Very crowded and service was just ok. Food was like any other breakfast place, nothing really stood out as fantastic. Ordered the strawberry Nutella crepe. Strawberries were good (it is strawberry season - May) and the Nutella was good - crepe was average. Ricotta pancake was very dense. My husband had the chorizo scramble.... THAT was really good!! If you like chorizo with eggs - get this! The server brought 3 out of four dishes - they failed to remember to bring the fourth. We had to ask twice - and by the time they brought it... the three of is were done eating. Ugh! The place is VERY crowded, very hard to move around if you are seated in the middle of the room. .... Seems like it would be a fire safety hazard, but I assume they are following the rules. Street parking if challenging... but there is a garage behind the restaurant. Would I go back? Probably not - SJ has so many good breakfast spots - this one didn't stand out as a must have again.

Breakfast Club at Midtown is an iconic brunch spot in San Jose and across the Bay Area. Even though Breakfast Club is super popular, this is actually my first time here and I can definitely see why it's popular. We had to wait about 30 mins, but the food is definitely worth the wait. Everything was very delicious, but my favorites were definitely the Carnitas and the Crab Cake Egg Benedicts. I really love how flavorful and amazing it was. I also try the California French Toast and Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Pancake and they were delicious as well.

A couple friends and I stopped in after a race in San Jose. A great post-race food spot! Friendly staff, good service, and casual ambiance. I ordered the Farm House Omelette, and it was delicious! Omelette had the perfect blend of veggies, and great flavor. With the omelette options, you could either pick toast or coffee cake. Make sure you choose the coffee cake. It was so good, I kept thinking about it after we left. Highly recommended! There's also another location that opened up in Castro Valley, CA if you're not in the South Bay area.

I visited this breakfast spot after hearing it was one of the best breakfast places in San Jose. The location is convenient, in a busy area with public parking nearby, and the service was friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was okay but not quite what I expected. The restaurant felt more like a fusion American-Mexican breakfast spot rather than a traditional breakfast diner. Every plate even came with a random watermelon slice, which added to the unusual presentation. We tried the steak huevos rancheros and the farm omelet. Both dishes were decent, but nothing really stood out or felt memorable. If you enjoy creative or fusion-style breakfast meals, this may be your kind of place. However, if you prefer a simple, classic, old-fashioned breakfast restaurant, this probably isn't the spot for you.

I highly recommended the breakfast club. Go midweek to avoid the rush. This place always seems busy and for good cause, because it's good and there's a nice vibe. Chicken and waffles- I appreciate that this was not chicken tenders. We had a thigh and I believe a breast and the portion size was enough to share. Short rib chilaquiles- the addition off the short ribs took this dish to the next level. Two egg breakfast with sausage links- portion size was great. Hash browns cooked to perfection Every dish was flavorful and something I would order again. Mimosa with fresh OJ. yum Prices were decent and all what I expected. Not overpriced at all.

Today I decided to try a new breakfast place and I was not disappointed in the slightest! To start, I love the location of this restaurant and the big glass windows. Even though it just a view of the street, it was a nice view to be able to look outside and I also enjoyed the natural daytime lighting environment it provided. The parking garage that connects to it also makes it super convenient and easy to access. The service was amazing and all the staff were super nice and attentive. They didn't check in too much but just enough during the duration of the meal just to make sure we had everything we needed. For today, we only ordered the steak huevos rancheros and a side of rice and shared, somehow even still having leftovers we needed to take home! So the portions are perfectly enough and I was more than happy with the amount of food we got! Not only was the steak cooked perfectly, everything about the dish was perfectly seasoned. I usually like to add hot sauce onto my breakfast food but to be honest, this dish didn't need any additional sauces or seasonings at all. I also really liked the hash brown texture as instead of super crispy and thin, they were more soft on the inside and thicker with a crispy exterior. It was sort of like potato cake texture, it was a nice refreshing take on hash browns and I quite enjoyed it. We also ordered a side of rice and mixed it in with the sauce leftover on the plate and I have to say, that rice paired perfectly with the refried beans. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I look forward to revisiting and trying other dishes/drinks from here!

Came by on the Saturday morning to get the crab cake benedict. We got greeted and seated quickly. Friendly wait staff. Pretty loud and crowded as expected when I last came by. Got the crab Benedict: 4.5 stars. Definitely as I remembered with real crab. Although I don't care for the outer breading. Avocado and the eggs moistened it nicely along with the sauce. I got the hash potatoes and it was bland. I recommend getting the herb potatoes - really flavorful albeit salty. The Jalisco: short rib omelette: 3.5 stars. Well presented and flavorful. The short ribs were tender. Came with potatoes and a side of toast. The orange juice:4 stars. A little on the tangy side but tastes fresh so I can't complain.

Love this breakfast spot! I came on Thursday morning around 11am last week with friends and the staff were super friendly. One of the employees, I think he is a busser, was kind and very attentive whenever our server wasn't around. I got the Strawberry Banana Crepe and it was delicious. The atmosphere in there was cozy and felt well kept.

I've been eyeing this spot and finally had the chance to meet up a friend for brunch here recently. There wasn't a wait around 830am over the weekend, but it started getting busy around 930-10ish. There's also a decent outdoor area that can accommodate furry friends. Staff are nice and the portions are decently sized, but it rubbed me the wrong way when one of the servers placed dirty dishes he was bussing on our table while he was trying to close the check for the party next to us... The food was also quite bland. I ordered a Mexican scramble and subbed in the soyrizo for $1 extra...should have just skipped the mock meat since it didn't add to the dish. I had to drown the food with hot sauce in order to get any kick or flavor. Mind you, the dish came topped with jalapenos and the only thing that had any flavor was the miniscule guac topping. Had they been more generous with the guac, it might have saved the dish. I did like how you get to choose hash browns or herbed potatos as well as choice of bread or coffee cake. The sides are fairly substantial and the coffee cake was decent, a bit dry, but I think that's expected of coffee cake.

The server was very understanding. I was pescatarian at the time, so did not take part in all the meat offerings. But I've been to other locations and their steaks are usually pretty good. Their seafood is for a steakhouse. The sea bass was moist and slippery. The lobster bisque was creamy and decadent. One thing that's always consistent at Mastro's is their cocktails. I always get the grey goose martini and it never disappoints. Parking here is awful. I don't ever remember Valley Fair being this bad. Plus, now that you have to pay for parking, you'd think it would get better. Anyways, basically come early to give yourself enough time to find a spot. Good for a special occasion dinner since it can get pricey. REVIEW #4042

Outstanding. * Disco Fries: not your average French fries! It was the perfect spot to enjoy the fresh air and made for a really relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant has a great vibe overall, especially if you're looking for an outdoor brunch. (Have not been inside) I ordered the steak chilaquiles, and I'd give them a 8.5/10. The flavors were really good, the sauce was delicious, and I liked the addition of the eggs, avocado, and queso. My only complaint was the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well, a bit dry and was tougher than expected, making it difficult to cut. It was still tasty--just not cooked quite the way I was hoping. The mimosas were good too, a great value. Nothing that really stood out as amazing, but definitely nothing bad about them either--they got the job done. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server Rebecca was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly quick throughout the meal. They checked in at the right times, answered our questions confidently, and made us feel well taken care of without ever being overbearing. Overall, I'd come back, especially to sit on the patio again. With a more tender steak, this meal would've easily been an 8.5 or 9 out of 10!! :)

The Giant Profiterole is exactly that GIANT and stuffed with White Chocolate Gelato and Hot Chocolate Sauce that you can drizzle over the top. To fricken die for good. If you are in Willow Glen and you don't stop here you are missing out on something wonderful. Be kind to one another
