A friendly neighborhood bar! It has typical American bar food but it was good. Good selection of beer on tap. Our bartender was great. Prices on drinks very reasonable. Growing up in my home town this was the place to eat. The fried chicken and potatoes and the delicious ranch. I mean yum! i hear they no longer serve chicken or other food and that's depressing but understandable given the economy and whatever. Service was ok. It's a small border town so it's not the ritz. I went here because I couldn't find anywhere else that was open on a Monday night, but hey, this place was pretty good! The menu is typical American sports bar food--comfort food, sandwiches, and burgers. The interior is like an old town saloon, and everyone seems to be friends with everyone. The staff were friendly and chill--very casual vibe. I ordered hot-n-spicy chicken wings and Breaded Halibut and Chips, in which I substituted my fries with sweet potato fries. My friend got the jalapeno poppers and jumbo shrimp. Pretty good portion! The sauce on the wings was tasty and had a tangy kick. The fish came in smaller strips than what I'm used to, but it was crispy and meaty. The best part of the dish was the tomato sauce because it was seasoned with horseradish, so there was a sharp twist to it. Amazing staff & food. 4 aces provides consistent food and service no matter the day or time. The owners are kind & provide a lot for our community. There hasn't been any food there that I haven't loved. Their fish and chips have homemade tartar sauce , homemade coleslaw & fries. Everything from their cheeseburgers to their apps are delicious. I am a Native activist who live on the reservation and in the area. I have never been treated badly here, and the the staff treats the majority of people well. I have seen people 86'd out of here but that was only because they were being combative or belligerent. Doesn't matter what race they were. The food is what you would expect from a bar and lounge, but it is well made and they will cook it how you want. The fish and chips is my go to, and their Ranch, Tartar Sauce, and Coleslaw is handmade. We were at a different establishment at one time and some people began talking bad about my wife and me and one of the long term employees who happened to be there stepped up and strongly defended us. 4 stars only because I really miss the Chicken and Jo Jo's. read more

In the middle of Hardin Montana. Seems to be a popular locals place, known for its broasted chicken. Husband says the chicken was great. I had the sliders-3patties which were decent size and flavorful. We both had Jojo potatoes with ranch-perfect. Staff were attentive and locals ignored us which is better than giving you means stares! Heard the chicken was good. I tried some of my husbands and sure it was okay. But it came with 3 Jojos. And sweet Cole slaw. Bleh Dingy, dark (probably good so you don't see what's really there) and dirty. We got hamburgers which were pre-made. I understand they don't have a lot of space in the kitchen, but make like 5 things really well from scratch and it'd be worth it. Everything was frozen. Hamburger patties, fries etc. No thanks. Outstanding fried chicken! I stopped here on my way to go hunting down on the Bighorn. I would categorize Four Aces as a locals dive bar. I ordered fried chicken to go with jo-jo's. Chicken is clearly brined, good flavor and crispy light batter. Reminds me a lot of Tiny's Tavern in Billings. Place is clean. Drinks were cold. Prices were reasonable, service was friendly. Upon arrival at Crow agency we asked for good places to eat and one of the 2 places mentioned was Four Aces. Especially the chicken they told us. It took. It took a while before we were noticed, also after we were served we were kind of forgotten with zero refills on our drinks, and after a long day of work you want to eat something good. The place is a bar with several lower tables, holes in the ceiling but at least the building was still standing, the chicken was very good, my co-workers fish and chips amazing as he told me and my other co worker couldn't stop talking about the amount of steak strips he was given... overall a good experience read more

This is a pretty scathing review from the eyes of a naive young child turned semi-sophisticated young adult with a much broader worldview than most of this bar's patrons. But it's not like anyone's going to go out of their way to find this place anyway. It's a little dive bar in a dive town, and the very first bar I've been to. At age 5. All I can really remember is that this was by far the best bar in Hardin, because it was the only one that my parents dragged me along into while they sat and played on the Keno and Poker machines. Even when I became old enough to drink, this place isn't impressive at all. And heaven help you if you're not a Denver Broncos fan. Lived up to its reputation for the chicken, very good! And the cole slaw was really, really good, he uses a family recipe. The mayo-like dip is their own making, and very good. The steak fries were very good. Staff is friendly, let us eat in peace, but engaged in neighborly conversation as the evening proceeded.
