I came and ordered the Rib Eye steak well done and when it came out it was bloody. I kindly asked the Manager if it could be cooked a bit longer, she agreed took my plate and came right back out with my plate in less than 2 minutes covered in a sauce. as I cut into my steak it was still super bloody. the fact that they just through sauce on top of my steak to cover up the good infuriated me. The blatant disrespect! Needless to say I was the only one in my group who didn't eat. They are short staffed but the staff that is there are very nice and professional. They did their best with what they're dealing with. I will never return to this establishment because of the Manager (Heather) on duty. it once did she even bother coming back out to apologize for their mistake. read more

This place is awesome. First of all the space is gorgeous. It's like... an old Tudor house. Next the food. We had a big group and we tried it all. The pizzas were all bar none. The lasagna may be the best I have ever eaten in my life. The branzini was great and the presentation on that was especially fun. It feels like a neighborhood restaurant that has been here forever. This was our first time at Four Bricks, and while the food was good, the service was awful. it took over 20 minutes from the time we were seated to even have someone acknowledge us. Then we ordered and two of the four of us got our food while the other two waited. 10 minutes later, the third persons dish comes out, but the fourth person still hasn't gotten his. Another 10 minutes and the server asks how everyone's food is. When we tell her that one of our party still hasn't gotten his, her response was "well, it comes out as it's made. Says so on the menu." She had absolutely ZERO concern about him getting his food. Meanwhile, the other three of us have completely finished. We will never return to this restaurant. read more

Four bricks is great in terms of food and service. The Bruschetta is very tasty, the tomatoes being the standout flavor. Kitchen management appears to be disorganized, as they're sending dishes out separately instead of sending tables dishes out together and sending tables the wrong dishes. My girlfriend and I had to send back dishes twice already because the waitstaff attempted to give us another tables' food. Also the owner was sitting back and is appearing to not see the clear disaster their kitchen manager is creating with backed up dishes. As for the waitstaff, they were very attentive, especially the two older gentleman ( the gentleman with glasses and the taller gentleman with a mustache). They were very kind and apologetic for the logistical mess from the kitchen. I would most definitely come back, as the service was fantastic, and the food was great too. I hope in the future the expediting process is refined. read more

Alright fam if you haven't had this place you're missing out. This place is a solid Italian spot!! I know La Crosta is a pizza place but what shines here are the pastas!! I had the cacio e pepe with buccatini and the penne pasta with bolognese sauce. Pastas were cooked al dente and the sauces were so flavorful. Last but not least the cioppino had such a beautiful tomato sauce with that wine taste that was well done and the seafood was perfectly cooked. 100% will be back again and again and again. For dessert we got the lemon butter cake with ice cream! Sorry for no photos . Service was great, the staff was very attentive and welcoming. Very cute and quaint restaurant with lots of good offerings on the menu! We started with the arancini and bruschetta. The arancini was AMAZING! But I would pass on the bruschetta as I'm a fan of a more traditional recipe but my boyfriend liked it! For the entree we shared the ribeye, carbonara, and short rib tagliatelle. The ribeye was outstanding! Perfectly cooked and the truffle butter gave it an amazing flavor. The short rib pasta was also delicious! I would pass on the carbonara because of the sous vide egg, once again I'm a fan of a more traditional recipe. For dessert we got the lemon butter cake and I was surprised that the cake was not warm. The service was mediocre. It is aesthetically pleasing don't get me wrong. The food was cool to warm and took longer to bring out. Our appetizer like focaccia bread came out after the mozzarella and the cheese was warm not melted. The pasta also came out warm to cool side. Drinks took awhile to get refilled. We were comped a dessert without asking for our choice and apologies were given repeatedly by the manager, but even the dessert was on the stale side. The lemon cake seemed reheated or warmed after being frozen. Or microwaved. Also our silverware knives didn't match on the table and servers were hard to understand. Wow! This place was just amazing. It is a bit on the pricier side but well worth it! We went there for a family night out and it was perfect. We were not rushed the chef/owner came out to check on us and sent a special homemade ravioli for us to taste delicious. Four Bricks is a new gem! A friend was visiting from Illinois and staying in Yorba Linda. She wanted to meet half was as I was coming from the San Fernando Valley. I am unfamiliar with restaurants in the area but did a good deal of online snooping and found Four Bricks - WOW - what a great call and a terrific surprise. Very pretty restaurant on a charming street with loads of free parking (that never happens!) We sat on the patio which is lovely, and enjoyed everything we ordered. The Cioppino was superb! A delectable fresh arugula and pistachio salad, penne pomodoro and marguerita pizza. The espresso was bold and smooth, the wine offerings are a plenty and the pour was generous. And the lemon cake was perfection. A beautiful crumb, loaded with lemon flavor, and not too sweet! The servers were delightful and checked in on us constantly (though in no way were they intrusive.) And the owner visited with us and was very kind. I love discovering new businesses and see a long and successful future ahead for this family owned and operated restaurant. Better than nothing gourmet Italian restaurant in city of Whittier. Since there is no gourmet options in this city except for one other restaurant. Went there on their opening night. Place looked great. I loved the layout. Bar seating was chill and two dining areas seem perfect for accommodating large parties. Service was great, even though it was their first night things seemed to run smooth. The dishes I had were super tasty! I recommend the lasagna and the meatball appetizer. We went on a Saturday night and was busy. We sat down and our table was uneven and rocked when you leaned on it. Our server noticed when she got us water without us saying anything. Said she be right back and fixed it. Later, we went on a Wednesday, so less staff. No one at the host station. My friend was late due to traffic so I sat and waited. I watched three employees walking by put down what they were carrying to assist seating new arriving customers. Someone in this restaurant believes in customer service and trained the staff well... it's refreshing! I came back to have the short ribs and the asparagus but both weren't on the menu. I was immediately disappointed but ordered the ribeye and the mashed potatoes. Steak was great and cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes were buttery and delicious. I do enjoy a restaurant that changes their menu and I just need to be ready. Even the dessert menu changed but was still great! read more
