Was excited to check this out as my family and I am a huge fan of la Crosta we first tried them out during Covid when they were parked out front of Baileys liquor. Found this place in for a nice birthday celebration, we were late( there was a festival blocking the street) and they were very accommodating! I had a red blend for wine and honestly it was a perfect medium because I usually prefer liquor, everyone else in my table order the moscato over and over again so I am assuming that was great too. Overall, very nice and intimate setting, the pasta was delicious and our server was so kind I believe his name was Luis, very attentive with water and more wine ! After several high recommendations from different friends, we finally came to 4 Bricks. We got lucky with only a 30 minute wait, and it was WELL worth it. Each of us (4) had something different and all shared. Each dish was delicious to look at as well as tasting amazing! I looked forward to going here and made reservations for my dad's birthday and we were all excited to try this Italian appetizer. We were seated and ordered wine. The waiter brought our wine and left; when he came back, we ordered the arancini and he said they were out. They had only been open for an hour so if they had prepared appropriately for a weekend evening, surely they would not run out. Didn't make any reservations so we walked in with four people, kind of a busy night so I am glad we got a table. Ordered the penne al vodka and added shrimp and scallops. Unfortunately the scallops looked burned and really dark brown, the kind of dark brown where it seemed like they cooked in old used oil. So we let our waitress know and asked for some new scallops. They were kind about it and cooked up some new scallops, but it unfortunately looked exactly the same. Even the waitress asked if we got new scallops and I said yeah, they look exactly the same. But this time, but my daughter said the inside of the second round tasted cold and mushy inside and had the fishy smell, so I told her to stop eating it. The waitress was kind enough to take it off the check. But I am honestly disappointed that the food didn't taste that great. In general the pasta al vodka just was meh. We ordered a side of broccolini as well and that was burnt. My son had the pork chop, and he liked that. My husband ordered the cioppino, and while it was edible it was also meh. Recently found out about this restaurant. My son is a big fan of La Crosta Pizza so we wanted to try this new place by the same owner. We shared Arancini to start, followed by his Spaghetti and my Cioppino. We LOVED every dish! Service was excellent with multiple staff being very attentive to our order and clearing the table promptly when needed or bringing us more water. The place is elegant without feeling stuffy. This one is going to be a favorite! finally stopped by tonight. we started with a glass of wine and arancini in the bar during happy hour. I knew at first bite that dinner would be delicious. For dinner, we started with the cioppino (we share everything so we can enjoy all the dishes). The Cioppino was fantastic. It was was full flavored, spicy and loaded with perfectly cooked scallops, shrimp and mussels. The next course was the rigatoni bolognese, so good! We had a side of asparagus as well. I came and ordered the Rib Eye steak well done and when it came out it was bloody. I kindly asked the Manager if it could be cooked a bit longer, she agreed took my plate and came right back out with my plate in less than 2 minutes covered in a sauce. as I cut into my steak it was still super bloody. the fact that they just through sauce on top of my steak to cover up the good infuriated me. The blatant disrespect! Needless to say I was the only one in my group who didn't eat. They are short staffed but the staff that is there are very nice and professional. They did their best with what they're dealing with. I will never return to this establishment because of the Manager (Heather) on duty. it once did she even bother coming back out to apologize for their mistake. read more
