When we spoke with Karen she explained that they only board 7 dogs at a time, and take care to reduce health risks. Our bulldog had a great time, with lots of one-on-one time to play with the owners and other dogs boarding. Also a plus is that their fees are so much more reasonable than kennels in Manhattan. The two females on staff were very welcoming and showed me around the facility. The outdoor space for dogs is very large and grassy and looks very nice. They have indoor space to board dogs by themselves and those rooms look nice as well, one caveat is if you want your dogs to be kenneled in these rooms by themselves it's an extra $10 per day . But when I went into the kennel area where most of the dogs are that are there for boarding and daycare, the stench of ammonia smell would knock you over. Apparently this area is not very clean and hygienic. There were no dogs outdoors at the time, they were all in these cages in the kennel. I did ask if they got out and was told that the dogs were taken out several times a day. I would've expected to see some dogs outside but there were none. I certainly wouldn't take my dog there to be kept in that smelly situation because as soon as he got home, he would need a bath. I couldn't get the ammonia smell out of my nostrils for hours! Also, the staff leaves at 6 PM and doesn't return for the day until 6 AM so if you board an animal there they have to hold their urine for 12 hours which I think is completely unacceptable!

We miss Amber as well and are happy to hear that her vet doesn't have any concerns. That being said, daycare can be extremely active, and messy as well during play (when pools are out, mud, etc), and we would never want Amber to get further hurt or sick in a vulnerable state. Due to her extreme and sudden onset of medical issues, we feel as a team that we can no longer provide the level of specific care Amber needs at this time. As much as we would love to continue seeing her, we feel that it would not be the best decision for her medically. I appreciate your understanding, I apologize for the inconvenience, and wish you all the best. WTF??? Is upper management now veterinarians too? Who are you to override a veterinary clearance? We thought that is why you have EVERYONE sign a waiver which releases you from liability. What we see here is ageism plain & simple - you do not want to attend to a senior dog who can walk, run & play because you have no staff and cannot be bothered oh, by the way, this is after we, as loyal clients did not sue you after our dog was severely attacked at daycare by a bully dog who had only just joined. Yes, we are loyal clients, we came back, we recommended you to others, you used our dog as a test dog for meets & greets with potential new clients! We have never been in arrears for payment, oh wait, we actually paid in advance! This is NOT how you treat clients! I stopped before purchasing the additional $147 program for learning how to enjoy walking my dog... REALLY?!!!...walking the dog wasn't even part of the $27? ... figuring that after that they'd be something else to purchase following by something else to purchase, etc., etc... We opted for an injection that he gets once a month, asprin & a pain medication - so far our 11 year old fur baby is doing much better, walking (short distances), he still can't jump up on the couch - but at least he's not in so much pain.

He disappeared on Thursday and was gone until Tuesday the week my girl died. My vet couldn't even get in touch with him. My girl died on Wednesday and I never got a condolence call from these people. What I did get was a call a week after she died to remind me of her appointment on Friday. I called again and told them she died. Did they say we are sorry for your loss? Nope. The girl said "so I guess she won't be making her appointment"
