I called Harris and arranged fro a new engine to be delivered. Before I got that far Harris tried to get me to go to the dealership because there was a chance that I could have the engine replaced for free through a warranty. They tried to save me $1800. I brought in a nearly brand-new car (~5,000 miles) on July 10, 2026 for a routine tire rotation and accepted the complimentary car wash. When the valet handed my keys back, something felt off. Turns out my leather steering wheel had several sets of closely spaced vertical slits cut into two different areas (2 and 8 o'clock positions, each a couple of inches long), plus two parallel scratches on my cluster lens -- spaced exactly the same distance apart as the scissor blades on a utility knife housed in my car. None of this was present at drop off. What followed was months of unanswered calls and denied responsibility. They claimed to have reviewed video evidence in the service area, but confirmed there is no camera in the car wash bay and completely ignored the fact that the damage was not there at drop off. Be wary of the service offered by Scott Clark Toyota as they do not appear to know/screen their employees very well... or care when vehicles are damaged.

The sales manager (Mike) says then you pay it and won't get tinted windows. $2000 for that?!!! And what a lie this isn't negotiable. I knew it was a lie but I thought I had to pay a destination charge of $1450. So it was almost a wash in my financial numbers for the car. Of course, they lied about my trade value too. They offered $4400. I had a carmax quote of $11,400. a $7000 difference?!! Sales manager says well carmax sends these vehicles to California where they can pay more. All utter lies. They got their sale. I paid MSRP, plus their stupid $1995 and less the $1000 discount I was entitled to being a competitive owner. But I knew I over paid by about $3000. But no sweat. It's only money. I can make more. They have to live with themselves for being shady, not that I'm sure they care. The car salesman (Rashard) is soon to be a financial manager. So he needs to be handled with eyes wide open too. I would have to assume their service department can't be trusted either after this sales experience. Love the car though!
