It wasn't until we were in Jacksonville (away from family & new to the area) that I found myself needing to board her. After WEEKS of searching different facilities, I choose PAWVILLE. Saying I was a MESS leaving her there was an understatement. I cried leaving her. The facility was beautiful, well kept, secure & the staff was friendly (again, just me being an over protective parent). I Bella stayed for 6 days. I received pictures of my baby and the staff was patient with me, when I'd call to check on her. Needless to say, I cried ALOT when I picked up my baby. She was happy to see me and she was fine. A lil confused, but she was fine and well cared for. I ended up using PAWVILLE a.few times while we were in Jacksonville. Fast forward 4 years & back in San Diego I recently rescued another dog & need to board him (here we go again). My thoughts, "its San Diego, this will be easy." The bar PAWVILLE instilled in my needs for boarding is beyond measure. I miss the facility & the comfort I found in knowing my furchild was safe. Thank you PAWVILLE for your excellent services & facility.

It started with the report card pictures, I noticed that he was becoming very thin. He was sent with a bag of 18lb bag of dog food and I signed and paid for them to feed him the food they had when he ran out. I noticed marks on him unsure if it was from them or their dogs, one picture you can see blood on his paw and never once did they say anything about him being hurt. He also came back home flinching really bad, when I would go to simply pet him he would duck. When we got him back home and started feeding him like his normal again he fatten up back to normal very fast. He also has became aggressive when we bathe him with the shower head (he bit my friend while she was bathing him) when he used to not be till he went to pawville.

We did the private, one on one training sessions with Jerica to learn focus, sit, down, stay, come, loose leash walking leave it, and door manners. Jerica is a great trainer who is very patient and responds to emails quickly. Each training session consisted of 40 minutes talking and 20 minutes of actual training. You need to be consistent and work with your dog at home. If you're looking for a place to actually work with your dog, this is not for you. Camp Mutt trains the owner and not your dog. The only reason I knocked off one star is their training methods doesn't work for every dog. I was told by the owner, my puppy would be walking on a collar by the end of the session. However, that was not the case. They sold me a prong collar for excessive pulling. I was also told they offer socialization in which we never met another puppy at Camp Mutt. I did everything exactly how I was told and my puppy simply did not pick up some skills. I strongly suggest taking your puppy to Ridgeside K9 Carolinas for their $10 socialization puppy classes. This is the moment where my puppy started being more obedient and calm. Ridgeside also worked with my dog and gave me correction advice when leash walking wasn't working at Camp Mutt. My puppy wasn't perfect after all the training which was a little disappointing. He's still very much a work in progress but there's only so much you can learn in a short amount of time. I wish they offered some program for post training support instead of emailing. If given the option to redo training, I'd much rather go to Ridgeside. A suggestion for Camp Mutt is to teach the "place" command during the 40 minutes of talking each session. It's a highly valuable skills that I was surprised it wasn't taught.

She has been doing really well, she's still a puppy and started to develop a fear of bicycles, after a biker ran into her and knocked her down. After 2 weeks with campmutt, she is able to walk by a bike calmly. We continue to do our "homework " to keep her training successful. I'm beyond grateful for campmutt! They are under new management, so if you ever hear anything negative it was before Kristen took over. We are getting another doberman and will be sending her for training too.

Animal house staff have always taken great care of my baby both during is long stays and grooming sessions. Recently got him groomed for the first time this summer and had an incredible experience. Staff took great care of his undercoat along with being able to manage getting his nails trimmed which I know can be a task in itself. Very timely service dropped him off in the morning they had him finished and ready to go in just a few houses.

When dropping him off I told the person at the counter not to shave him totally and the girl looked at my friends account on the computer and told me that she understood because there were notes saying how to clip him. My friend came at 4:30 to pick up her dog and was told they hadn't started working on him yet! She waited 30 minutes until they were done. When they brought him out to go home it was a real chop job, the ridges from the clipper were visible from the side it was obvious that certain areas were shaved unevenly. The hair on the head and around the ears was chopped with no attention to detail. She was shocked and spoke to the owner about how awful the job was and asked for a partial refund, at least for the tip given. The owner said she would get back to her and never did. I have clipped and shaved my own dogs at home and know I could've done a better job!

My dog ended up getting fleas from here more than once, and we don't have any other pets at home, so it was pretty clear where it came from. Every time I picked him up, he would pull hard on the leash to get out of there and immediately need to go to the bathroom, like he hadn't been let out enough. He also acted extremely thirsty, as if he hadn't had water all day too. He went about three times a week, and most days they only posted one or two photos of him, which made it hard to know what his day actually looked like. I also had to remind them multiple times not to give him chicken treats because he's allergic; I knew each time he was given chicken because he would come home with bloody stools, which was really concerning and I had to take him to the veterinarian initially for this. The staff themselves are very nice, but based on the overall care and repeated issues, I wouldn't recommend this daycare for pets!
