Came here to eat dinner with family on UT graduation weekend. When we arrived, there were about 60 or more people waiting outside. Hostess quoted 30 minute wait time for a table of 8. The bar was mostly empty so we took a seat and ordered adult beverages while we waited. In 30 minutes, our pager went off. We settled our tab and were promptly seated at a nice booth. Our order was taken right away, and the server was a real pro. We had a few special requests, and she had no issues. The food arrived very quickly. Everything was as ordered and freshly made. All of the items were delicious and satisfying. I recommend the Seafood Bread and Fried Oysters. The Boudin Balls were tasty as well. The atmosphere was lively and very welcoming. Lots of graffiti scribbled on the walls from past guests. We asked for a marker to make our addition to the decor. It was a last minute decision, but we are glad we made the choice to eat here.

Went for lunch with my family. Parking lot smells great when you pull up. The inside is fun atmosphere. Writing all over the walks from previous guests. Our server Sean was great. He was nice and attentive. Me and my daughter shared a lunch combo. We had a half pound of snow crabs and a half pound of headless shrimp. Also ordered fried okra and hush puppies. Everything was great. The good came out hot and tasty. Great place to go if you love seafood.

We went here on a whim and had a great time! The amount of food you get is large, which is nice. (We had 3 lbs and ended up taking a bit home). The market prices are all on a chalk board so it's easy to see how much they cost. We got the #4 for $67 on 3.10.25. Pros: 1) Fun and a lot of food 2) Seafood bread was awesome 3) It's a fun experience with a good atmosphere 4) The diet coke is good here Considerations: 1) As others have said, service is pretty slow. If you need new gloves, more water, the check- be prepared to exert some patience 2) The sauce is good but has a very strong artificial butter taste. I didn't love it but I'm sure it keeps the prices down since seafood is already expensive

The food was phenomenal. I had the combo with crab legs and shrimp. Tons left over for the next night. Our waitress was very sweet and on top of it. Will definitely be back.

Mushy crab! I ordered extra corn and it came by itself ... uh. Why not in the bag with season? Well. So now I tried to send the food back after the crab was MUSHY soft shell and the meat was just falling apart. They instead decided they they would take my plate to the back then remove the crab and bring back the COLD FOOD and tell me the crab itself will be out later lmao lmao yea. Cold sausage and corn goes well with hot crab. Lmao lmao never again! This isn't a good experience. All the food seems like can food / frozen food. Don't like the texture but returning the nasty food seems like I'm not allowed to do that lol

Soooo yummy! We had our anniversary dinner here and it was the best restaurant experience we've had in a while. Amazing service, great atmosphere, even better food! It's always a good feeling showing up early and leaving to see a huge wait. 10/10 recommend.

MY FIRST SEAFOOD BOIL RESTAURANT! date night gone right... we loved the shrimp and the crab it was very fresh! choosing the flavor AND heat level is a big plus! for 49 dollars this combo was plenty to share and we got to sample everything. we also got extra cheese bread which was super garlicky and paired so very well with our platter. a must try! we will be back!

Overall, this crab boil was top-tier. Fresh and bold flavors, we also got the seafood bread as an appetizer and it was a good starter. If you're a seafood lover, this is a must-try!

KUDOS to Julia for providing supreme quality customer service! We ordered Pick 3 appetizers consisting of Boudin Balls, Stuffed Jalapeños, and Cheese Sticks. We also had Dinner Combinations #6. Thank God for Julia! The ambiance was quiet and the music jamming! I highly recommend all to come and visit to support this local business!

Honestly the best seafood boil I've ever had. Got the number 4 which is 1lb of each Snow crab legs, head off shrimp and crawfish. Service was average. Shrimp was very good and crawling were good crab tasted good but was a little short on the meat. I did the garlic butter with the Old bay and Cajun seasoning medium heat and it was phenomenal. Added 4 boiled eggs as well. I ate all of it myself so kinda expensive but very good. Lol my total was $85 before tip. Building was very nice but bathrooms were disgusting.

#Dinner Combo 9? I think.

I started off with a dozen New River Oysters, they were fresh and delicious, but the crackers they brought out were stale and some of them were already open, which may be why some were stale. I ordered the wasabi Tuna on rice and a baked potato and the spouse had the grilled salmon on rice with baked potato. My Tuna started out good as the first couple of bites were easily cut off the steak , but then there was a very big piece of white grisly tendon that run the entire length of the fish and it was impossible to cut with the butter knife that I was given. Then it got worse when the potato had a thumb sized black place once I started eating the potato. Needless to say I was not very happy with my Birthday meal, my wife's salmon was perfectly cooked and her potato was fine. Im sure that if I had complained about the meal, they would have cooked me another meal, but when you are spending 130 dollars on a great meal in a upscale restaurant you expect that the chef and staff have properly trimed the fish and inspected the potato for bad places and you could see the black spot on the outside as well as the inside. I can't say that I have had a bad meal at Chesapeakes before today, but it's doubtful that I will go back. Another thing in all of my Birthday meals there,I have always been given a complimentary dessert to take home in the past. As the meal portions ,plus the dozen Oysters that I always get is alot of food, but no offer from the waitress this time. Just didn't expect mediocre food from this place, especially when the prices are so expensive.

I suppose you could say it is better than other restaurants in the area but that's about it for me. And that alone is not something that would get me to go back. It was about 3:00 and the restaurant was on a 45 minute wait. We decided to sit at the bar and have an appetizer while we waited for our table. They were unusually busy because of college graduations. We had a shrimp appetizer which was recommended by the bartender. It was delicious! It had the right amount of spice for us. Our table was ready right as we finished our appetizer. The hostess was very polite and asked us if we were celebrating anything special.. We were promptly greeted by our server Elisabeth who was wonderful. She told us the specials and inquired if it was our first visit. We ordered the espresso rubbed ribeye w/ a baked potato & Caesar salad. We decided to share a steak and ordered an extra wedge salad. Everything was delicious. The steak was a perfect medium. The butter that is served with the bread is heavenly. I was thrilled with my Caesar salad that had anchovies on top. My wedge salad was amazing. This was one of the best steaks we have ever had. We would highly recommend the restaurant for lunch or dinner. 5 ask for Elisabeth if you want a wonderful dining experience!

Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was pretty disappointing. The service was inattentive from start to finish. Our drinks sat empty for long stretches, the bread was hard, and my steak wasn't cooked anywhere close to how I ordered it. What surprised me most was that our server never once came back to ask how the food was or if everything was okay, so there wasn't really an opportunity to have anything corrected. It also felt like a missed opportunity that no one even asked whether we were celebrating anything. We were there for my brother's college graduation, and while I wasn't expecting free desserts or a big production, most restaurants at this price point at least ask the question. It would've been a nice touch and made the experience feel a little more personal. For a bill that came to around $250, I expected a much higher level of service and food quality. I don't mind paying for a great meal and experience, but this just didn't deliver enough to justify the price. It was my first visit - my family's third time. We drove over an hour to get there.

The live music that is there when we have to listen is a really nice touch. Parking is limited right around the building itself, but there is plenty behind it - just keep driving a few more feet, and you'll see it. The service has been generally great, but our last trip was a bit of a miss - I suppose the difference between brunch/lunch and dinner service. I believe part of the reason was that our 2.5 YO kiddo was ruining the vibe for couples (and the staff as well). If you don't want kids there, then say so. And even if you didn't say it with your words, your actions did. Part of this showed up when we were trying to get a high chair for what felt like 5 minutes - I could see i,t and they went to seat others and had us wait...which created squirming and an unhappy kiddo. After this point, all of the ordering we tried to do in this same sitting was met with a mostly poor attitude and delays from not coming over. The food was delayed and was cold. Again, not going to fight for it and have to wait longer with a little with us. We've not been back since this, and I'm unsure we will try again with a kid. Now that this is out of the way, the dinner experience is night and day different - great service, food, and drinks with little to no issues. So, TL;DR - dinner experience 5/5, lunch/brunch experience 3/5, taking the average of 4 for a 4/5.
