Most of the staff was very nice, I encountered one of the owners a lady, she was horrible. After I bought some popcorn, the lady made a big fuss over couple pieces of chocolate I had in a baggie. She took them from me and said I could have them after the movie. Worst service I've ever received from a manager. I would suggest that she take cues from the other staff. I liked this place until last night. While me, my family & tons of other people waited in line for a movie the workers stood in front and smoked. I do not smoke for a reason and do not appreciate second hand smoke for me or my family!!! While the doors were closed they let their friends and family in gave them anything they wanted from the concession stand and let them into the theater first!!! I took my daughter here last weekend and loved the prices. We paid less than $4 per ticket for a new movie. The popcorn was good and soda wasn't too pricey. My issue is that back "Alley" theater. Because we went to see a movie that had only been out about a week, there were many people filing in the theater. We sat in the very back and I was on the end seat. I have to say, I was very nervous about people entering the theater from the side alley. Once the movie started, every time the door opened, I got a little scared. It's literally a black door that opens up into an alley. Anyone walking by can enter a theater full of people. It just seems like a recipe for tragedy. When you go to the other theaters at Fox, you have to walk in through the main lobby like other places. But this alley theater is right there in a parking lot alley. Set aside the fact that it's an extremely small theater, it is just not safe. They need to look into some kind of security that stays outside the door for the duration of the movie. I will return to this place but only after checking to make sure my particular movie is in one of the other two theaters there and not this back "Alley" theater! read more

My bride and I have our weekly Wednesday afternoon date here. The theatre is now equipped with Sony digital format which makes the viewing quite awesome. It costs us $3.00 a ticket plus $4,50 for a large drink and large popcorn. We have driven to Redlands, Hemet & Moreno Valley where a single ticket costs more than our total cost at the Fox not to mention the cost for gas. The movies are mostly first run as well, read more

I just went my first time to this theatre last week. It was fine for the price and plenty of seating. I wish they took atm cards as I had to run and get cash. They do not accept any form of credit cards. Lots of people getting up and down constantly but I went to a PG13 movie so lots of teens. Prices good on the consessions. Normally love coming to this theater, it's well priced and close for kid movies! This last experience blew my mind. I had packed a few small snacks and a drink ( literally fit in my small purse) just like everyone does , for my son who has severe food allergies. I was told to leave it at the front by the owner who was a complete ass even after I told him my son has allergies and can't eat most foods! He was rude unsympathetic and when I said that was ridiculous he came back with " well yeah so are our prices"! I'd rather go to Redlands and pay more $ then give my money to someone like him! This is the worst theater in existence. It's dirty, the theaters smell like feet, and the staff is rude. There are only 3 theaters and they have filthy, old, uncomfortable chairs and no stadium seating. I took my son here to see a movie and we had to leave early and the manager refused a refund because it was past the first 15 minutes! Pass this one up, you'll never be sorry you made the drive to a decent theater, even though this one is cheap. (Also, they only accept cash! My husband and I have been coming to this theater since we were kids. It's always been a great spot for movie lovers, like myself. My favorite thing about the Fox theater is the prices! Even while ticket prices at other locations continue to go up, Fox has remained inexpensive, making it possible for everyone to enjoy. This theater isn't the largest or the most luxurious but you'll definitely get your monies worth. Just make sure to line up for your movie tickets early, seats go quick! read more

Old school and I like it that way. Less people great prices. Their phone number seems dead keep getting a busy signal. Took a gamble from San bernarghetto and took the drive they had the new movies. This is a very dirty place,and if the workers dont like you they lie to you and say their sold out.When you tell the owner Mike,he laughs and dont care,all he cares about is your money to keep them open! He does not deserve to be open,they do NOT care about our small community and making the costumers happy and they do NOT protect our children when you drop them off there. I love this place and the prices even more. I live in San Jacinto but I will travel here to watch movies. I have many nieces and nephews and I can take them all to not only enjoy a movie but also be able to buy them all the snacks they want and not leave there broke. Cash only is a bit ridiculous. Saw a family who waited in line for 30 out in the cold. No sign saying cash only until you go to pay at the window. It's 2015! Come on! The theater does not let people in until 30 min before the movie. First come first serve or until tickets are sold out. Cheap price for movie $6 a ticket. Small narrow theaters. Banning has the best small town theater in America. I have never had an issue with the employees. In fact I have had lunch with them a couple times the two brothers that have worked there forever, very informative on the theater history. Number three not recommended due to size and darkness though. read more

My daughters and I have been coming to this theatre for the past 10+ years. I love that it is old and is an icon for the city of Banning. We live in Yucaipa and prefer this theatre over any other. The seats are comfortable and the theatres are small and we like that about it. There is the 3rd theatre entrance in the alley but it is still good. They do only accept cash at the box office and it usually doesn't open until 30 minutes before the movie. Under $20 for the three of us to see a movie is great. read more

YOU NEED TO READ THIS. I visited this movie theatre with my family today and usually have great service but saw something VERY UNACCEPTABLE AND DISTURBING. I was seeing a movie in the back alley and had stepped out to make a phone call. There was a rat running around trying to get into the door and two men came out with rat traps to remove iT. As soon as they walked up to it one guy STEPS ON THE RAT KICKING IT INTO THE WALL STOMPING ON IT REPEATEDLY LAUGHING WHILST KILLING THIS RAT UNTIL IT DIES THEN GRABS IT BY THE TAIL WITH HIS BEAR HANDS AND THROWS IT AWAY ALL WHILE THE THE OTHER GUY IS YELLING AT HIM TO USE THE TRAPS. Not only was this very disturbing that this employee unmercifully tortured this rat (mind you it was NOT in the theatre, it was in the alley way so he could have just scared it away and didn't even have to kill it) I went back into the lobby after the movie was over and he's serving food. Now I hope he washed his hands but even if he did it didn't sit right with me. I will not be returning because of this. I loved this little treasure of banning until today. Just thought I'd share with banning what kind of people are handling your food here. read more

Well after last night, I'm never going back to the fox cineplex again . The staff there Dosent realize how they made me feel last night when I was kicked out for simply screaming at a scary part on insidious. While there were other Mexican females who were yelling " shut the eff up to everyone" and got to stay and enjoy the movie. When my dad came, Steven was nice enough to let me watch the next showing. But I hate the young man that was in the theatre. I am a junior in high school and he treated me like a four year old. Also, the lady in the front was yelling at everyone there and when I was kicked out she told me to leave the whole building. I feel like it was racial discrimination because like I said nobody else was told to leave. I am not a trouble maker. I am a straight A student who just wanted to have fun but after last night I'm never going to that theatre again and I HATE the staff there for ruining my whole night. And I hate them for picking and choosing the African American girl to kick out ! You all suck. read more

This place has a lot of potential, however I was disappointed with the movie theatres set up. First it's cash only. We are in the 21st century in order to increase your Revenue you need to become more Innovative not everyone keeps cash on them debit cards credit cards are of more use you need to Implement that option for your customers. You are not just catering to the young you are also catering to the middle-aged and elderly most people of that age group use their debit or credit card. Secondly you have only one individual intaking customers that is absolutely not efficient you end up standing in line longer than you really need to if you would just have two or three people working at one time people get in faster. Thirdly you have one ATM machine and from my understanding from other customers 7 times out of 10 it doesn't work and when I brought that to someone's attention the Elder gentleman simply said oh well it's electronics sometimes it doesn't work hello? I'm a paying customer and I'd like to purchase something from your snack bar (Again Revenue lost) because you didn't have the debit or credit option for your customers, nor did your paying customers get to enjoy the movie with perhaps popcorn or a soft drink. Fourth, it's great that your trying to renovate, however the seating could be better the chairs are very dated and uncomfortable and your floors are extremely sticky there might be a need for a deep cleaning of your seating areas in order to make people more comfortable. The sound system is ok however you could hear the movies playing next you in the other screening areas. Your screen display of the movie was just ok no high definition. (I get it everything costs money) if your finances need to be increased to bring better quality services to your customers, you may want to consider increasing prices in order to do so. Lastly perhaps your company may want to have a consultant come in a reascess your processes in order to make your facility run more efficiently. read more
