Love my car, not the dealership. Where do I start...this dealership needs a revamp. Went to get an oil change and tire rotation. Told it would take about an hour. They were also going to repair a trim strip that was coming off my Nissan Maxima that they told me was covered under warranty last time I was there. A man working came to me in the lobby about a half hour in. Said my part wasn't covered under warranty but he would "do me a favor" and cover it because someone had already told me it was. About an hour later a woman working came to me in the lobby and said a lug but had to be broke off because they couldn't get it off and I had to buy a new one for $10. I was thinking it's their fault for putting it on too tight last time. Who knows how it happened but $10 is steep when I can buy a pack of 20 for that price. But I can't drive the car without it really so they screwed me out of that one. She also said they were finishing up and my car would be ready soon. After being there for an hour and a half I look out the window and my car is out there done but nobody has told me yet. I went to the cashier and asked to pay for my car so I could get out of there. The woman with the lug nut news came out and gave me my keys. I told her also that I found those same lug nuts online for $2 and not $10 and there price is a rip off. I also told her I wasn't mad at her because I know she doesn't make the prices. I was just pissed at the dealership. She said "we can put the old one back on if you want". Seriously!! I know had an attitude already from all the BS I went through there, but customer service needs to be a little less cocky. In the end I was there an hour and 45 minutes. If you want an example of a great dealership and repair shop, use Betten Imports as an example. They were always great to work with when I had my VW. read more

This place used to be awesome and worth the premium you pay versus going to an auto shop. The service used to be great, detailed, and the customer service provided you with clear answers to any questions you have. Now, it is a train wreck. You can't come here and expect to be properly quoted for anything. I've been wrongfully quoted for multiple things, from a broken LED tail light, a punctured wheel that needs to be resealed, and a rusted piece that was the cause of a spongey brake. And to top it off, a broken door lock actuator. The broken LED tail light that I got checked at another place because they said it would cost $495 to fix, they fixed for free. Why was it free? Because a wire came undone and they just needed to reattach it. Sweet, so they didn't even bother looking at what was the main issue. A punctured wheel that needed to be resealed, since the seal broke. Nope, just needed to be cleaned and chalk put over it. I paid $30 to get it resealed, but the problem persisted so I went to another shop and they fixed it right up. My door wouldn't open, and I went to see what the problem was. I was quoted that the door lock actuator was broke, but, it was just because of the frozen seal of the door, and how cold the weather was. I decided to not schedule an appointment and after a week my door worked again. Honestly I would never recommend this place for anyone, unless you bought your car here and need your oil changed, since you get a cheaper price. But the whole point is to get you in so they can charge you for a bunch of nonsense you don't even need. Just get your oil changed, and leave. read more

I urge you not to buy a car from Fox Nissan. I bought a certified pre owned car from them in May of 2019. They provided me with a checklist certifying that all parts of the car were in working order, and the car only had 20,000 miles on it. It's been less than a year since I've had the car and it has several issues. I've since discovered the windshield is not original, their is a rattle noise coming from under the dashboard. The passenger side door has been clear coated. I highly suspect this car was in an accident and not disclosed to me. As of March 10, 2020, the CVT had a catastrophic failure and required replacement. March 17, 2020, brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced (see photo below). Within a week of that being done, I noticed oil leaks in my driveway and took it back in the shop only to find out that the front transfer case needed to be totally replaced. Now does this sound right for a CERTIFIED PRE OWNED car from a "reputable dealership " with only 20,000 miles on it ? Yes l, I have been driving this car a lot, but these failures don't justify the issues. This is my FOURTH Nissan Pathfinder and sadly lasI'd expect that maybe from a used fixer upper bought as is. I have contacted BBB and am asserting they sold me a lemon. I'm providing them with all my documentation of repairs done and timeline , as well as the certified pre owned paperwork Fox Nissan gave me when I bought it. Don't do business...stay away. Worst customer service ever, in both sales and service centers! Sales: when you enter their parking you get overwhelmed with all this assistance because sure they are trying to sell you a car. They tell you that they have excellent service center and if anything wrong they will take care of it. Well this is a lie! Service Center: you call to make an appointment and they never answer, they direct you to their answering machine to leave a voice memo. They never get back at you! The only time I was able to get someone to pickup they ask you if they can place you on hold and here I am trying to be courteous I get transferred back to the answering machine. I have taken our car to Fox Nissan (Grand Rapids) for the past four years and have noticed a decline in their service for the past 12-18 months. I don't know what changes have occurred within the service department, but today I was told the earliest they could look at my car is mid-April for a repair that would probably take 1.5-2 hours. I had to drive there to make an appointment because they never responded to message that was left over the phone. So if you need immediate service, I recommend Gezon Nissan. They actually answered the phone, made an appointment for me, and will service our car next week. Otherwise, good luck with the dysfunctional Fox Nissan Service Department. read more

I had a great experience getting a 2013 Juke Nissan through Fox Nissan last week. Austin Kursziel, my sales manager, made the process easy, fun, and straightforward. I had been looking at the Juke for a while but had not yet driven it when I arrived at the dealership. I didn't have to wait long for Austin to jump in the car with me to take it out. He explained the major and minor things with the car so I understood everything property before getting out on the road. It was a nice change from the last dealership I looked at who gave me the keys and didn't explain even the basics of where the lights were. We hit the road with the Juke and I was impressed with the handling and drivability. Although the Juke is said to have a "polarizing aesthetic" that not everyone will enjoy, I love the distinctive body style and knew it was what I wanted after driving it. I think learning details about the car before I hit the road, made me appreciate it more on the drive. Austin stayed late on Wednesday night to complete all the necessary paperwork and when I showed up Thursday to pick up my newly detailed car, it was an easy process to sign a few final forms and take a tour of the dealership. I had been dreading the whole car purchase process because I feel like I've met a lot of slick, fast-talking sales guys, but Austin (and everyone else I worked with at Fox Nissan) was laid back, knowledgeable, and upfront with the facts on the vehicle and the financing for it. I didn't feel pressured or hassled at all during the process. They don't have it together. Most other dealerships are at least ready to take your money and are smooth and wonderfully efficient at it. This place- no diagnostic work after a certain hour Monday-Friday(they won't even look at it), nothing more then oil change after that certain hour as well as on weekends. Anything more you need an appt. I had to wait almost two weeks for an appointment. Plus the 3 things I need fixed- NO FREAKING PARTS on hand( a/c hose, door latch, window control panel)? Not the way to do business. Took them all day to look over 3 simple problems. I was off of work before they could even tell me what was exactly wrong with car, what parts were needed. My appt was at 7:30 this morning(left it overnight- because like many others I work during their "special diagnostic hours") it took them till 3:15 pm to figure this out? Too bad this is the only dealership in town. Oh and because I work in a hospital I asked them to email me updates it text me (no phone signal but wifi), nope didn't do it. I called at 10:30 am(had to escape hospital for it)- none of the service managers are available. None. Not one. Called on my lunch break- no one even answered the phone. I had reasonably good experience in purchasing a certified pre-owned vehicle from Fox Nissan in Grand Rapids MI. Ever since than it has been all down hill as it relates to customer service. I have a letter from Nissan Extended Services North America that states I have a two oil & filter changes and two tire rotations. I called the dealership to schedule this work to be done and they told me to just use the quick lube service. I then asked if this is still covered under this letter and gave them my VIN number. Their response was it should be. Well either it is or it is not. So, a few days later I take the vehicle in to quick lube service and I bring the letter in. I tell him I want a oil change and tire rotation. I hand him the letter and ask if this will be covered by this agreement. He looks at it and says yes. After the work is completed I am billed for the service. I meet with the service manager and he informs me it is expired. So why did the service tech not verify this for me? It gets better, I checked my invoice and they never did the tire rotation. I call Nissan North America Inc and the consumer affairs department is very polite and takes down all the information and is very apologetic, and they promise to look into this issue and get back to me. I then get a flowery text from them stating how important this is to them, but I should contact the dealership to attempt resolution. Which I had told them in our original conversation I had attempted. This is not about a few bucks for service it is about treating a customer with respect and clear communication. Turns out I didn't have a car (I totaled it a week before) and he was a car salesman. I told him how Fox ford wanted an outrageous interest rate and got it lower than fox ford. Dropped my car yesterday morning before 9am off for my 1pm scheduled appointment for diagnostic test and oil change. With notes that i am 99% sure it is my timing chain and my warranty information. I texted the number that texted me after i dropped it off to get an update at around 4pm, then starting calling after 5pm and they sent me to the voicemail of someone who is on leave until the 22nd. I called back again and they said someone would call me before 7pm, never got a call. Called today at noon to check again and for the last 3 hours i keep calling they keep sending me to voicemail. I cannot get an answer about the status of my car and i am going to have to uber there after work to find out wtf!! Awful customer service! Quick update Evelyn just called me back she is the only person i have spoke to with customer service skills. Hoping for a call back in the next 30 minutes with an update. Another Update After receiving no call back i took an uber to the dealership where i met the new service manager Joseph who is 5 days into this job and coming in after what i can only assume was a very bad service manager before him given the reviews the last couple years. He was apologetic, explained everything to me and gave me a 2019 Altima as a loaner. I felt bad for freaking out after hearing everything they are going thru, one of the service guys child was born too early so he is off and another guy hurt his hand working hard to get thru the cars therefore not only are they understaffed they are behind due to the last service manager. Bought a used Nissan Rouge last year from Fox Nissan, and overall had a decent experience with mild but tolerable hastles. Got a notification of a recall, and while we usually use a trustworthy local mechanic to do basic service, my wife brought it in for the check. While they checked the recall issue, "they did a 40 point inspection, which showed the drive belt was cracked and needed to be replaced or serious damage could happen." Brought it immediately down the street to our mechanic, who showed us the drive belt personally and noted that it was perfect, with no signs of significant wear and should be good for at least another 30K miles. Highly unethical. Went back immediately and informed the manager who could only say, "Hmmm, that's rough." HERE WE GO AGAIN! Took my car in for oil change. When I pulled in there were people I never seen before. This guy came up I never seen him there before, told him what I needed (oil change) he had his pad out asked me what oil I use HUH! you have the pad in hand shouldn't you know HELLO! I replied I don't know, I have never been asked that before. He replied you should be asked. Ok, so I tell him about my door making a noise when I lock it, he said I will have them look at it. I go inside and wait patiently. I get a text on my phone, saying if I have any questions to reply to the text number. About an hour or so, this girl comes with my key, going over everything, hands me my key. I said what about the door? she said what about your door. I explained to her, she went out to my car, came back in said it sounds like your lock DUH!! you think. She replied you have to make an appointment that is $150 to check it out, and we won't be able to do that until December 3rd. I took my key and walked out to my car. Mind you it was dirty when I brought it in, because they usually wash it. My car was dirty just like when I brought it in. I am like what is going on here. So I am driving down the street thinking about my experience, I look up at the sticker for the next time I need an oil change, and it is very wrong. My mileage on my sticker is way lower than it is showing on my car. I text the number I was given for questions, and this girl text me back and says the mileage that is on the sticker. I said that is the wrong mileage, I am looking at my mileage now, that's why I brought the car in for oil change. She replies, "SO" what is your mileage, I took a picture of my mileage and sent it to her. I have not heard for her. I called to speak to the manager, I have not herd from him. Now I am wondering did they put the right oil in my car???? If something is going on your customers should know. All these changes, new faces, wrong mileage stickers???? I need to find another place to take my car for service, I have had it with this dealership period...... Contacted Fox Auto about a copy of my extended warranty contract and Maintenance records for the vehicle. I was given the Sins of the past speech from the new manager and offered a helping hand where and when he could. The new Manager of Fox Auto Nissan called the Dodge Dealership where my Vehicle was worked on to get updates. I have to admit the new manager put in the leg work and contacted me to make sure the Van was back up and running to my liking. The issue ended up being a transmission pump, which the warranty did cover but replaced the transmission as a whole. the price of the replacement was satisfied with just the deductible. other issues I have covered out of pocket were a "engine Tune up", Thermostat replacement, and when I have an extra 400$ a seatbelt buckle. I personally can only change the rating from a one to a three star. they did follow up, but I still got a less than quality Vehicle. if Fox Auto Nissan has what you're looking for, talk to them. But keep in mind from my Experiences, they do not look over traded in Vehicles as thoroughly as needed. read more

NISSAN SERVICES GONE SO WRONG! !!!! So far I'm getting alarmed just paid close to 1000 To have oil drip fixed and fix problem relating to check engine light which I was told it was one of my sensors they fixed one broke another by accident replaced it as well and I pull out rushing my son to Dr. Apt and notice check engine light still on, now why wasn't I notified of it (not professional) why didn't they notice or care it was still on(not professional) now they need it back for something that should of been caught the first time around (inconvenient) not to mention I called right away not once but twice two weeks go bye no return call but had no problem getting in touch with me when it came to getting my money, utterly (not professional) and I'm an extremely unhappy customer at the moment I could of gone to a regular mechanic for this, and this is my first time getting serviced, if this is how Nissan treats their customers I need to reevaluate my business elsewhere read more

Awful service department, replaced part at dealer 2 month ago and having issues from day one. Went back and the service advisor is super rude and just ready to take your money and trying to point to other issues. Went in two other times prior for oil service and pointed out two issues, was told they would address it. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot has same issue called back and service tech admitted they must have not looked at them, not once but twice. Very disappointed with Fox Nissan, seems every visit we have issues that are not looked at/addressed. Maybe technicians need better training. For now I am done with this dealer. read more

I went in for a factory recall which was completed fine at no cost. I also asked if I could get help with a headlight issue I was having. I told them steps that I had looked at but was having no luck. After about 5 to 10 minutes they told me that I had a blown fuse and charged me $52.00 for the service and new fuse. I had a couple of other things that I wanted to get checked out but not after that. I feel that $52.00 was just a bit overkill for couple dollar fuse. read more
