Bought a Kia Niro here in March 2025. They reportedly do check overs on the cars before they leave the lot when sold. Not sure who checked it but my car has completely stopped working two times in less than a year. Transmission shot, brake issues, engine issues. I'm so disappointed. None of this was on the carfax or any warnings on the car. The Kia dealer in Kalamazoo were shocked the car was sold to me in this condition and were completely confused why the service lights never came on. Also, once you buy a car, communication is at absolute zero when you leave in your new car. I reached out several times for questions and concerns and NEVER heard back. Jay, the financial administrator, do not expect ANYTHING besides too much talking about up charging you for everything. I had several questions regarding the loan after and he refused to communicate back. Disappointed and will not be buying Kia again. I have a 2023 Kia Niro that needs an Oil Change. Last time I went, I used the "Quick Oil Change" line (waited for more than 2 hours) and got scolded for 'Not making an appointment' even though on the website it says that an appointment is not necessary for the "Quick" oil change. Here is the quote directly from the Fox Kia website " For most quick services, you can take advantage of our Express Service Lanes, which do not require an appointment." Anyway, I decided I would make an appointment this time around. I went to the website chose 'Any Advisor' for a quick oil change and there were no times available to choose. I searched every 2 weeks for more than 1 YEAR out (through July 2027) and there were still no available appointments. Thankfully I was able to use there AI agent on the site to get an appointment, but the whole experience is a HUGE pain!! read more

took in a Kia k5 for an oil change paid 110 dollars just for the oil cover shield underneath to fall half way off while driving down the freeway way further looking at it it was missing 3 bolts and the plastic was broken off where a bolt should have been, if you care about your car go anywhere else read more

Ordered a '24 Telluride and when the Telluride finally arrived, we went in for the test drive and to do the paperwork. After being there about an hour, the salesman told me that they couldn't do the paperwork at this time because his finance manager was busy and they're closing soon. He asked if I could come back Saturday (this was on Thursday). We had an appointment and they clearly did not value our time. The salesman acted like if we didn't buy it, someone else would. It is a very popular SUV. Well if they're going to be like that, I went into Toyota the next day and walked out with a brand new 2024 Grand Highlander! We got very lucky and the model in our preferred trim and color just happened to arrive at their lot unclaimed. Getting my deposit back from Kia was a hassle. I called them and they hung up on me, my wife called and they didn't pick up. Walked in to talk with the salesman and he was annoyed. Should have valued our time. read more

Background... We purchased a 2023 Kia Sportage from Fox Kia July 12, 2022. The salesperson was did a great job of answering our questions and walking us through the sail. We left with a handshake from the Business Office ,the salesperson and a good feeling about the dealership. The end of December we get a safety letter from Kia.. No big deal right. So we wait until January 4, 2023 to call. Get an automated message saying service is busy with other customers but leave your name and number and we will cal you back. This was at 10am and again no big deal. Right? (WRONG) At 9pm we still had not received a callback. January 5th I call again at 10am and still no reply by 9 pm. I'm upset because what happens if the vehicle is down and I can't get to service for repairs? January 6, 2023 I called Kia USA customer service. After explaining what was going on the assistant said let me reach out to them. After a short wait she comes back to tell me she can not get through to them either. RED FLAG!!!! However after 45 minutes she was able to set up an appointment for Feb. 28th in their electronic system. In my opinion Fox Kia service after the sale really sucks. read more

The good: We were greeted immediately and I informed them we had an appointment set for a test drive already. That's about it for the good part of my visit. We waited for about 10 minutes before Jeanette came up to us and asked us if we were the ones with an appointment. We said yes, and she let us know that she would be helping us instead because the woman we had a CONFIRMED appointment with had the day off. We proceed to her office and she takes my driver's license and makes a copy before asking us some more basic information. She then goes into what we wanted to do for payment and we tell her we're still looking at multiple options in the price range and test driving before we decide. But before I can finish, she interrupts me and pretty much yells over me in order to let me know that she's not going to let me test drive until I decide on a payment option. That in itself is absurd and I've never experienced that. Who is going to go straight to planning payments before they physically drive the vehicle they're interested in? I would've been happy to discuss payment options AFTER I drove the vehicle and decided for sure. Instead we tell her never mind, and she gets up to leave before we can even get up out of our chairs. To summarize: *The person I had a CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT with didn't show up. *Jeanette rudely interrupted me before I could even finish my sentence, all because I didn't want to discuss payment options before I was absolutely set on the vehicle that I had MADE AN APPOINTMENT SPECIFICALLY TO TEST DRIVE. Other than that, everything else was fine. It was a clean store, and we were greeted right away. It went downhill shortly after we went into her office. BEWARE!!! I have had two experiences with this place over the last year, and both could not have been worse. The first one, I purchased a 2020 Kona from them. Within less than 30 travel miles, the computer system went haywire and multiple functions were lost. Initially, they refused to take the car back. After leaving several reviews of my experience, they finally stepped up and did the right thing, in return for me removing said reviews. After returning the Kona, I ended up buying a Kia elsewhere. That Kia was eventually stolen by the "Kia Boyz". Upon recovery, damages ranged from a broken window, busted up tires (the belts were broken), body damage, and the ability to turn the car off was gone due to the dash damage. I needed to drive it somewhere safe quicky, and Fox Kia was the closest. I was nervous given my previous experience, but I gave them another shot. My Kia had Hancook tires on it, when stolen. The estimate from progressive was specifically written for Hancook tires. Upon picking up my cars, the final bill said Hancook tires, as well. Imagine my surprise when I walked out and my car had GeoTour tires, a much cheaper and lower quality brand. They were paid for Hancook tires and pocketed the difference. I have spent 6 months trying to get the correct tires. They will not return my phone calls or emails. They will not respond to my insurance company on the matter, either. The only answer I was ever able to get from the service guy I was dealing with was "there must have been some confusion". He told myself, and my insurance agent that he would be talking to his manager to "see what he could do". After that, neither of us has been able to get a response from him. The paint job on my car was also very low quality, as well as being billed for "glass clean up", when my floor boards were still full of glass upon pick up. I first filed a complaint with The Bureau of Automotive Regulations (through S.O.S). They reached out to me and said although this is obvious insurance fraud, they cannot help with tires. My guess is that Kia was well aware of this and that is why they thought they could get away with this. They suggested I take them to small claims court. Next, I tried the BBB. Again, they failed to respond. While this will affect their rating with the BBB, BBB cannot do much else beyond a lower rating. Next week, I will be filing in small claims court. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere! I sure wish I would have listened to my gut and did the same! read more

I drove my 2014 Kia Forte into this dealership to have recalls done on it from NHTSA. They updated the software and now my car is stuck in "limp mode" and can not be driven on the highway! They refuse to make it right. So I drive the car in for basic recalls and have to have it towed home! Do not buy a KIA and do NOT do business with Fox Kia of Grand Rapids. Had the best experience at a car dealer in my 44 years of driving and owning over 30 cars. I had my oil changed on my 2013 Kia Optima at a drive-in oil change place local to my home. I developed an oil leak that didn't subside after a few weeks. I went back and asked them to take look at it. They indicated everything was fine, I asked if they saw where it might be leaking they indicated behind the engine. That sent me to the dealer and hour and half away from home. They were able to see me the very next morning. As it turns out the technician who did the oil change cross threaded/stripped the drain plug and damaged the oil pan, a $380 repair. I called the oil change place and in their defense took responsibility and authorized the dealer to make the repair at their expense. The dealers courtesy shuttle dropped me off at Costco for some shopping and when I returned gave me a courtesy car to continue shopping elsewhere. They rotated my tires which I requested and a car wash....all at no charge. Their lounge had 6 different flavors of coffee and fresh baked cookies as well as bottled water. It was refreshing! My 2015 Optima worked wonderfully from when I bought it at Fox until they fixed it after a board flew onto the front end while driving in April 2018. At the moment, there was a huge amount of traffic, with merging cars, and no place to pull over. The car was working fine, so I continued home and called my insurance and Fox. The Fox Kia people said if it runs, to drive it to them. My insurance paid for the repair, but the car never worked well again. November 25th, it overheated again, towed to South Haven, then towed to Elhart Kia in Holland. Now they're saying that the original impact is when the head gasket began it's overheating and warping process, and that could have happened slowly. Auto Owners Insurance said that the original repair was inadequate, or a faulty radiator may have been installed. I had asked Fox Kia about the car's issues several times after they fixed it, and was dismissed. Since I had no previous issues with the car, I thought it should at least be covered under the extensive warranty. They are NOT helpful with this matter. read more

I was greeted immediately when I came into the showroom and asked if I wanted anything to drink while they got my sales person. He asked me specifically what I was looking for and walked me through my options that fit within my budget. I was looking for a Jeep Wrangler and he wanted to make sure that this was something I would like because I have never had one before. He encouraged me to drive it around and get a feel for how it handled. I love my new jeep! When I went to purchase the Jeep they walked me through the financing options, got me the lowest interest rate possible and explained what I needed to purchase and what I didn't need for the future. They answered all of my questions thoroughly and when I called back with a question did not hesitate to answer it after my purchase. The car was clean, full of gas and what I expected.
