I bought my first car by myself, a used 2019 Nissan Altima SL, from this dealership. I could not be more happy with the car and the experience. Upon entering the dealership, I was warmly greeted by Scott, who was my friend throughout the process, transparent and kind. During the test drive Scott was very patient; he let me take my diligent time evaluating the car, helped setting up my phone to the car system, and was happy to answer all of the questions I had about it. I noticed a small chip on the windshield during the test drive; I made it clear that I would want this fixed before buying the car. Once we got into the dealership, the Fox Valley team immediately began working and had the chip fixed while I was negotiating the price. Though I was not versed in negotiating prices (being a first time buyer, and this being by far the most expensive item I've ever purchased), I felt secure working with Scott and the finance staff, who were accommodating to my needs throughout the process. Even with my meager negotiating skills I was able to get a significant discount on the overall price of the vehicle. I left the dealership without experiencing any of the horror stories I've heard associated with car dealerships, and for that I am glad that I picked Fox Valley Buick GMC and thankful to their staff for making the innately nerve-racking experience of buying a car pleasant and memorable. read more

My wife and I bought a 2015 Buick Lacrosse today. The entire process was fantastic. Our salesman Michael Manisco is a very polite and professional young man. I asked him so many questions about the car and he patiently and correctly answered all of them. Alex Katselis the finance manager made the finance process very easy. He made several great suggestions and helped us pick out the most appropriate extended warranty for our needs. Very knowledgeable guy with a great demeanor. We appreciated his suggestions and advice. Poor excuse of a GMC service center. My vehicle has been in the service area three times since Purchasing the vehicle in November. All three times I have left unsatisfied by the service I was given. Every time I go and pick up the vehicle I am never given a explanation as to what was done or what fixed. or if they inspected the vehicle for any other issues. They Stated that I needed two new light bulbs at $350 each. Said it was not covered under any of the vehicle warranties and I understand that my frustration is that i had just purchased the vehicle in November and now i have to pay $700 for light bulbs that supposedly burned out by them self. Well they refused to do any thing for me so i got my vehicle back with out lights and purchased the light bulbs my self. it turns out that is not the light bulbs because the passenger side would not turn on with 4 brand new light bulbs! Driver side did work. Honestly do not know if its the mechanics or if it comes from management but I refuse to go back to that dealership because of the poor customer service i have received from the service side of the dealership. The service manager Mark Bowling has yet to apologize about the lack of customer service he has given me and for all the time I have wasted going back and forth with a issue that should have been fixed since the first time i took the vehicle in. I took it to another GMC dealership and come to find out the issue was the Ballast and the Fuse box that was damaged! Yet Fox valley stated that all wiring, fuses and ballast where working. I requested that the drivers window be looked at. The window was slow to raise, and at times would not go up, but instead would go back down into door. The mechanic addressed the issue by oiling the track. But the window is doing the same thing again. I suggested it was the motor going out. Also still experiencing clicking in the gas pedal when accelerating, or taking off in the morning. Reguardless if car is warmed up or not. In the last 3 months I have had to keep returning my car for either things being incomplete, or totally not addressed. Truly frustrating. Seems as though it's thought that I'm making up stuff regarding my car. Which is so far from the truth, considering it's extremely inconvenient having to take your car in to be service. Not to mention this has become quite costly. We just want service to be fully completed. We really want to be able to trust that the service department are sufficiently completing the work required. Our relationship with this dealership has really started to suffer. I'm at a list of what to do, or say. Starting to wonder are we being ripped off.............................................. As of 11:00pm, December 4th, 2017, Monday night. Got into my car to make a quick run to the store. I noticed my car was making clicking sounds. Quite strange, because I had yet put the key into the ignition. Went to put my key into the ignition, and start the car. But nothing happened! Everything in my car was turned off, but yet it would not start! November 20th was the last date that my car was in for the issue of the drivers side window going up and down slow. The window track was oiled. The car was also being serviced because out of the blue, my car lost radiator fluid, and ran hot. It was stated to me that the thermostat had went out, seems to have had something to do with warranty required work by GMC. A call back. Ever since the recalls were done, it really seems as though my car is being slowly destroyed!! So now my car will have to be towed in due to it's in the garage. And now what will they find? Something that my warranty won't cover December 22, 2017 Update: This is my review for service rendered on December 13, 2017. My last few encounters/contacts have been under the leadership, and guidance of assistant Manager, Frank Rubino. In the beginning, there were some issues that most definitely needed to be addressed. So since this last contact, thus far, the car seems to be driving well. Per my request to Frank to have the mechanic named Sean work on the car. My wife and I purchased our 3rd Acadia from Fox valley Buick GMC this weekend. What a fantastic buying experience! Justin Mansk in sales is a true professional in the business and fox valley is very lucky to have him onboard. Fox valley has signs that "satisfied customers tell the tale" well they sure do and they are a class act in customer service. Justin went above and beyond as he always has. I also dealt with Mikey in sales and he was great and knowledgable as well. Justin made sure I got what I wanted at a good deal. Tommy in finance was quick and professional and no bs! Pat was the porter/detailer and he delivered fantastic customer service as well. I commented to Pat "WOW" the car looks awesome thank you. His response was I treat all these cars as my own and I want my work perfect. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MANAGEMENT!!! The front desk staff is amazing! Sarah was so helpful! However, as soon as you get to management, the service is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. I have never dealt with a place that blames the customer for everything. I wish I would have read some of the other bad reviews about the management before buying a car from here. The finance manager Alex has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Since he is unable to notarize (like most finance managers of big car dealerships should be able to do), there were papers that I had to get signed and mail back. We had these papers in our hands for 6 days even though Alex continues to blame us for having these papers in our hands for "almost 3 weeks." (Untrue!) Because of this, he blamed us for the reason our license plate hasn't arrived yet, meaning it is my fault that I am driving 2 weeks expired temporary license plate. Also, we left something in the car we traded in and were told that it would get mailed to us with the required paper work. We never received this, so we messaged Alex on the direct number he was messaging us on and told us to use with no response at all. When I called back to figure out where our missing item and missing license plate were, I was told that it was my fault that I still don't have my missing item yet because they forgot since we did not continue to contact them religiously about it (even though we did, through Alex). When I brought up the fact that Alex never responded to me about the plate and missing item, he said that things get busy and sometimes he is unable to respond. Yet somehow if it takes me 6 days to return a piece of paper, that is still my fault. Not like I don't get busy too!! As soon as I asked to speak to HIS manager, he got "helpful" and "nice" again. However, I have already spoken with his manager, Frank, about this problem, and he told me that he was messaging the license plate company and he assured me he would get back to me the next business day (which never happened). If the company is "too busy" to deal with issues regarding customer service, they should not be in business at all. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

This review is a long time coming. Just haven't had the time to write it. I bought a Used Yukon from Fox Valley GMC back in February 2020. I was looking for a Yukon for a year, just haven't found the right one for the right price. I seen Fox Valley post a Yukon for sale that fit all my criteria. I went to see the truck that same day and fell in love. I worked with Chaz (one of the manager), to make the deal happen. Let me tell you, Chaz is one of the best managers I have ever EVER worked with at a dealer. I bought a few cars in my years and the customer service Chaz provided was the best I have ever experienced. He worked hard to get the deal done. There was a problem with the driver side chair and he agreed to fix it without question. After buying the car he kept in contact with me to make sure I had the best experience and they fixed any issues I had. I now have been in the Yukon for 11 months and all oil changes or issues I have I come to Fox Valley for Service. I live about AN HOUR away from the dealership; however, because of the great customer service their service team provides I DO NOT MIND making the trip out here. I purchased my buick from Fox Valley Buick was impressed with the owners vision statement for handling business. However after working with the salesmen who was juggling two customers, I should of walked away. (Red Flag)I explained to the salesmen that I need to have a remote start that could be operated via the cell phone. He stated that Buick was equipped to do so. So I bought. First he said they would throw in the weather tech type of mats, then they wouldn't. (Red Flag))There were other issues such as salesmen didn't show up or call at agreed time and date. Apparently he went to Wisconsin to pick up another vehicle.( Red Flag) Car was not ready as promised, we got a very basic review of the car standing outside in the freezing cold, we had been told they would bring the vehicle in the building to inspect. Had to bring the car back because he said it needed an oil change and had to be re- detailed. Was told it would take 30 to 40 minutes. I decided to wait. Two plus hours later freezing in the waiting room. My car was finally done. That until I moved the seat and revealed the over spray, dirt and spots of who knows what. This brings me to the part where my car remote stops working. I come to find out that you have to pay extra through Onstar fir this feature. This was never disclosed. After spending 50,000.00 on " luxury car" I will have to pay an extra $35 a month. I have a Ford and there is not an extra month fee. I called and spoke with Frank the manager he promised to check into and call me back. I'm still waiting. I wonder if the owner is aware of the lack of customer service that is done in his name. I will try again yo reach out to dealership. Really not very impressed with dealership or Buick at this point. Maybe I should of stuck with Ford products. read more

Drove 1.5 hrs to see an specific vehicle that they had just told me over the phone it was still available. Got there and the vehicle was in the lot with license plates already sold. I understand business is busines and first come first serve but I would've appreciate if you all would communicate, work as a team and be more efficient on your selling process. I should've had gotten a call to let me know the specific vehicle was already in the process and not waste my time or the Dealerships. I arrived to the Dealership and yes they tried to show me something similar but I had my mind set on that particular vehicle. I left the Dealership disappointed and upset for the lack of communication. I called back on my way home and spoke to Frank a "General Manager". I Explained to him about my situation and said he was sorry for what had happened and that he had no control on what sells. I understand we are living in a Pandemic situation and the sale of a vehicle should really be important as a Manager. He offered to find a similar vehicle in at least four days and it's been two weeks and no call back from Frank or even the marketing dept. that coordinates the appts. Bought a used car here Friday. We came in with 3 cars we wanted to look at. Salesman Bill looked at the list and told us he would get the one we wanted to see most, a Dodge Avenger and bring it up. Instead he brought up the Hyundai. We test drove it and said we still wanted to see the Dodge. He went away and came back and said it was sold. So ok, we stil want to test drive the Volkswagon. Again comes back and says it's sold. I said they were on your website today, don't you update it? He says it's updated daily, but they just sold today. But guess what? Now it's Monday and both cars are still listed on the site. And then the best part, we buy the Hyundai and don't even get it home before the check engine light comes on. Had to bring it back in for service the next day and still don't know what's wrong with it. Can you say scam? read more

If you're looking for honest mechanics and service reps, keep looking. We had our van towed there and they "fixed" it. We asked for the defective parts and they refused. We drove 7 miles and it stalled again. We had to pay for another tow to get back to the FVGMC to have it fixed. They actually fixed the problem this time but also charged us again, saying that both repairs were necessary. Now our cruise control does not work. We can have it diagnosed for $100 an hour, but I do not want to be charged for something they did and I don't want them repairing my vehicle. We spoke with the manager at FVGMC and got nowhere. We spoke with several reps and 2 supervisors at GM and they said just take it to a different dealer but we would be responsible for all charges and fees. This must be typical since both the dealership and GMC were totally uninterested in our dilemma. read more

PLEASE READ: Since I live out of state, I wanted to get some info regarding the car I eventually purchased before making the trip out. I asked for pictures of the vehicle, interior and exterior, just to make sure there was no surprises. They got back to be quick and sent me pictures of the exterior, none of the interior. When I asked about the interior, I was told that it was in great shape, after all, it is a 2018. When I got to the dealership and sat in the car, 2 big stains on the ceiling of the vehicle were obvious. Clearly, they didn't bother to look inside and rather lied about it. Not a huge deal, it didn't keep me from buying it. Suha was great to work with there and so was our salesman, Scott Frank. Actually, Scott was AWESOME. They told me I would need to pay Illinois tax and then they would reimburse me with a check so that I could pay my state tax. They told me the check would come within the next week and my title was also coming with it. I needed the title for obvious reasons as my temporary plate was only good for 30 days. As I'm leaving with my newly purchased vehicle I hoped on the interstate and immediately had a notification pop on my dash saying that I had a faulty sensor, later to find out this was going to be a $1,500 fix. The route we took on the test drive only allowed for me to get up to 50 mph. When I was going 65-70 mph on the interstate on the way back, and every time after that, my sensor would go off saying it couldn't locate the car in front of me. If Fox Valley would've taken it on the interstate and up to speed, this would be something they would have instantly found. I called them and they said they would do nothing for it. Clearly, they don't do any sort of detailed inspections on their vehicles. I said I was going to leave a review and the owner of the dealer basically said he was going to comment back saying his side of the story and the 'truth'. So, thank you Fox Valley, you did me no favors. The people I worked with were great and friendly, but now I have a $1,500 issue with my vehicle 20 minutes after I purchased it for something that could have easily been diagnosed. Oh, and my reimbursement check for $1,300 and title that was supposed to come within a week? I had to call 3 different times to get it and they had to overnight it in the mail because they 'forgot'. I received the title and reimbursement check 1 (!!!) day before my temporary plates expired. Therefore, I had to go the DMV on a Saturday as they gave me no time. read more

Had been emailing back and forth yesterday on a new sierra Denali yesterday morning. I knew it was might be a little bit of a challenge for what I was looking for price wise, quite honestly didn't think it was something they would do hearing the reputation of not being price competitive of the dealership. After emailing with very specific detailed price point for purchase and trade in value for my truck. The Internet contact asked for vin and mileage of my truck to have the process quick so I emailed. After the internet contact talked to the new car manager I was emailed that they would be able to get it done based on what I sent them. Thought they would be close worst case. Said we would probably make it late afternoon. Was told I would deal with the manager directly. We have been to several different dealers of different manufacturers to test drive and get prices. I have real good handle on my Trade in value. I have bought 22 new cars in my life this was so it I am not new to the process. 90% of the time at this stage I have bought from the dealership after giving the the numbers this way since early 1990's whether it be talking about or emailing back and forth. Got to the dealer with the wife and was greeted nicely but was shuffled off to a sales guy after shaking managers hand. Waited about 10 minutes for the test drive. Truck was pulled up and had dried mud all over tires wheel wells tires and side of the truck. I understand dust on the truck and water spots maybe we have not had rain in a month. My wife was in awe that they would present a vehicle they were trying to sell, made it look bad. Went for a short test drive, interior was clean and sales guy was nice. Then we began the waiting process finally came out with the numbers and they were way off from what We were talking about, detailed in the email. We left immediately and it was an 1 hr 10 min later not quick in comparison to what I have dealt with usually 40 minutes when we are at this stage, I don't hold anything against them for not wanting to do a price, just very unprofessional for not dealing with manager as stated, not even close to what was discussed, and a poor presentation. Nice clean dealership but that is where it ends. My wife actually stated on the way home, would you really buy a car from a dealership that handles it that way? read more

I wish I could give zero stars! The absolute worst! Finding and agreeing to buy the car was great. Everything after that was a nightmare! They had to find the car I wanted and would get it Monday. I called Monday to find out if they had the car. Didn't get a call back until Tuesday night. I called back Wednesday and no one knew anything about it. They acted like I was crazy. I got a call back saying they had sent someone to get the car and to come in that night. I went that night and waited over an hour and a half without signing anything. I had a lease that they were going to buy out. I gave them my account info and they accessed my lease account. In their own words, they didn't do their due diligence and they had the wrong pay off. They refused to pay off the correct amount. I left very frustrated but said I'd eat the money and be back tomorrow. That night I checked my bank and saw they had cashed my deposit check on Monday! I called them the next day and cancelled. I was so offended they would take my money before I ever signed the paperwork to buy the car! It took me weeks to get my money back. I had to get GMC involved. They said they had never had a dealership ignore them and tell them one thing no then do something totally different! The manager was so nasty to me, she had lots of excuses why I wasn't getting my money - they needed two signatures on a check, their was an office staff issue. It was a joke! I finally resorted to telling her I would write reviews on every website I could find and include that I was buying the car to mark the end on my chemotherapy. The manager sent me a nasty email accusing me of libel and defamation and that it would be disrespectful to post lies all over the internet. Yes, I kept every email and voicemail. I purchased a used 2012 Hyundai Tucson in Oct. 2014, at the time of purchase our Salesman (Bill) was very kind and helpful. We pointed out that the USB plug did not charge and that the seatbelt in the back did not click, he said to bring the car back in a week and that they'd have it fixed along with the tires which were extremely worn out. The used car sales manager (Frank) advised that he would not give us new tires but that he'd give us "newer" tires. I purchased my car on a Saturday and brought it back on a Monday and my car was in the shop until the following weekend. They were kind enough to let me use a rental so that I could drive to work. When they finally returned the car I noticed that they only fixed the seatbelt but not the USB plug. they told me to bring it back the following week because they did not have the parts to fix it. I left the following day to Missouri for work purposes and my car started shaking in the expressway as soon as it went over 40mph. I took it to a Hyundai dealership in Missouri where they told me the truck was in great condition but that the "newer tires" were very bad and that I needed to purchase new tires asap, they said I would have a bumpy ride home. As soon as I got back to IL I brought the car in and Fox valley, they tested the car and said they felt a light vibration but that they didn't see a problem with the car. Frank said to bring the car back if the problem continued. I brought the car back because the shaking has gotten worse and Hyundai said I still had warranty. Now FRANK says he cant do anything for me, he said to bring the car in and we would "see". I waited for 2 hours in the service dept. Phil was very nice and helpful and said he did not find a problem with my car, I told him that they need to drive the car so that they can see what kind of shaking I go trough. Frank finally arrived and the only thing he helped me out with was filling my gas tank after I told him I was upset. He said they were going to bill me to look at the car. I was furious. Every single person I've explained my issue to has told me that I have bad tires, yet the mechanics look at it and they say nothing is wrong?? If they supposedly have over 125 years of experience wouldn't they know what the problem was right away? I am so upset because I now have to pay out of my pocket to purchase new tires. if they were any good at their job (frank) he could have told me since the first time that the tires were the issue. I really hope that someone that actually cares takes the time to read this, I need answers. I really do not want to deal with Frank ever again! he has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. He literally tries to dismiss me everytime I reach out. Ofcourse he was pleasant when I went in to purchase it but not that I bought the car he doesn't care what goes on after. I really hope to hear from management. Very disappointed. Thanks! read more
