If you are in a group, I highly recommend doing this so you can save your table. My friend and I had the Hammie Sammie, delicious and they are not cheap with the delicious ham. It was perfect! My other friend had the smash burger which she said was yummy too. Don't miss the fries! Generous amount, definitely enough for sharing, served in a greasy paper bag and scrumptious like fresh cut fries should be. You can also get them seasoned with garlic and parm if you wish. The food came quickly and hot. The place seems like it's run like a well oiled machine. People would get up and a smiling server would appear and quickly clean the table for the next customer. The sandwich contained a bit less beef than I would have expected for the price, as you can see in the photo. It came with a pint container of au jus for dipping. The sandwich was a bit greasy and fatty, not really a bad thing for umami, but a tad more greasy than I would have liked. The roll held up to the at jus. Excellent! The sandwich was dying for seasoning along with the au jus . Salt and pepper at minimum. It made a big difference. It was ok but bland. The French fries were a very large portion served in a paper bag ala Five Guys. You can tell they are trying to produce a good product. Sadly the fries had ZERO crisp and were limp and borderline soggy. I think they need to double fry if they continue to use the same cooking method. An almost good, but a miss. Here's my biggest issue. The menu is not conducive to eating solo. I tossed well over half of my fries, wasting food and money. They really should consider offering a side portion of fries with sandwiches that is half the current size at a reduced cost. It was enough of an issue to stop me from returning unless I go with other folks. I think they are trying. Reviews are good. Normally I'd come again and try something else. A few days ago they posted a photo of a chicken parm special sandwich that had looked phenomenal. But unless they adjust their menu to make portion choices more conducive for solo consumers, I won't return.

I got the pasta athene with chicken ($6 extra) which consisted of evoo, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, roasted red peppers, garlic, and olives (and chicken). I don't think that the chicken was worth the extra $6. In general I thought the dish was pretty under seasoned and didn't have a lot of flavor.

It had a great booze list - but I was on a solo adventure and needed to drive some more so I settled for a Shirley temple. My one gripe was actually with the Shirley temple. It came in a tall glass that was hard to drink out of without a straw. I'm always happy to not use a straw - but maybe would have been happier if it came in a tumbler - even if it wasn't so festive looking. I got the Athene Pasta dish and it was delicious and came with some really wonderful garlic foccacia. My waitress did a great job. Sometimes people are super weird when I eat alone - but she did great. The Bridge of Flowers is closed this summer for renovation - I think West End Pub was a consolation prize for the people at the table near me. Not a bad consolation prize.

We ordered the Ratatouille Risotto and Striped Bass as mains. The risotto was very creamy and cheesy, and the medley of vegetables were cooked well and provided a nice texture difference. We ended up finding both at Baked. When we walked in, we saw a few big bakery cases filled with pastries, muffins, and all sorts of baked goods. We just wanted a beverage and a bakery treat, so that meant we couldn't sit in the restaurant, but luckily, we grabbed the only table in front of the bakery cases. It was quite a chore narrowing down our order from their many drinks and baked goods, but eventually we decided on a Cold Vanilla Blueberry Latte ($6), a Hot Banana Bread Latte ($5), a Macaroon ($3.75), and an Orange Cranberry Scone ($4). The cold latte and scone were mine and I enjoyed both a lot. The latte had great blueberry flavor and the scone was fantastic.
