I didn't realize this was basically the same establishment as The Coffee Fox, which I LOVE. Ever since my first visit to Savannah and my discovery of The Coffee Fox, I've been planning my next visit to include The Coffee Fox. I found this cafe separately from the Coffee Fox and didn't even think the two were associated, although I was suspicious that they both served the famous Horchata Latte. We got here in the late morning for a quick breakfast before our late lunch reservation at 3:15. They were advertising kolaches in the front so I took a look. Kolaches remind me of a lightly glazed jelly filled donut. I ended up ordering a guava and cream cheese kolache with a simple skim latte. We went inside and explored the shop while we waited. We chose a table in a side room, which fit only a few tables. The kolache was definitely very interesting. Not as rich as I had hoped for with the guava and cream cheese feeling, but I probably would have been sick if it has been any richer. A great place to just chill or grab a quick bite! read more

I visited Foxy Loxy twice during my trip to Savannah and I'm now wishing I went even more. The first time I stopped by I grabbed lunch and coffee. I had a chicken taco, a veggie taco, and an iced americano. Both tacos were fresh and full of flavor. It's sometimes hard to make a veggie taco that isn't bland, but Foxy really nailed it with the veggie taco. The chicken was good as well, and the chicken was very juicy and tender. Also, one of the cool things they do here is melt cheese in between the double-layered tortilla which is a great touch! The americano was ok, a little watery for my liking but the espresso had good flavor. The second time I went in I did an iced shot in the dark which was very good. The service here was incredible. During the first visit our food took a little time but they apologized and brought us some complimentary cookies which were delicious. The barista was super friendly and helpful as well when I had questions. I also enjoyed the decor inside, kind of quirky and cozy--everything you'd want in a coffee shop. I went to Foxy Loxy today for the first time. They did an awesome job of following COVID rules with social distancing, plastic utensils, etc. I had my first Horchata latte and it was fabulous. I also had the Huevos Rancheros quiche which was heated up and full of amazing flavor. It was server with a pico de gallo type salsa. My friend got a cranberry orange muffin she raved about. I also got the cookie dough brownie that I ate later on which was rich and yummy. We enjoyed our lattes and food in the courtyard which was large and sooo green and adorable!!! My husband lived in Texas for years, so when he says he likes the kolaches here, it means a lot. We typically get the breakfast ones, and you can't go wrong there. Came here for brunch after church. Lunch didn't start until 11 so we had to wait a bit but wasn't that bad. The food was delicious and they had a nice beer selection. The only complaint we had is that the line is outrageous and slow. So if you wanted to sit and have more than 1 beer, you need to wait another 30 minutes for it. Very cool place to hangout and I think that the locals are aware. It was early on a Saturday morning and the place was packed, definitely no longer a hidden jewel. Tables will need to be wiped down faster after people leave, but the service and environment kept my interest. A delicious coffee shop right on the line of Starland and Historic districts. Pop in, or order ahead at one of Savannah's busiest coffee shops. I would venture to say this place is a bit of a pilgrimage for tourists and SCAD students alike. Packed in the morning and at lunch, but worth the vibe and food. You can get WiFi here, and if you're a fellow Texan like me, this is basically one of the only places you'll be finding kolaches. (They're pretty good, but not Buccee's - my Texans know). Lots of baked goods, breakfast items, and delicious chicken tacos. They have fun events often, and you will find lots of students hanging out here to study and work, so don't be surprised if there isn't always a place to sit. But if you come at the right time Foxy Loxy is an enjoyable establishment with scrumptious food. Beware that sometimes the line is long and you may wait 15-25 minutes for your food or coffee if it's rush hour, but that's your avg coffee shop/eatery. Also check their cute merch! read more

The drinks, food, and music played here consistently slay. A great spot to meet people or do work. I have been here several times, and is my current favorite spot for doing work. They have a range of pastry goods, including a gluten-free peanut butter cookie that is mind boggling and an uber tangy GF lemon bar. My go-to drinks are the cortadito and cafe con leche. They have a range of different spaces to work or meet with friends. I love the outdoor seating when I need some fresh air. Otherwise you'll likely see me in the side room at the long table. Foxy Loxy Cafe is a cool, hipster-esque gem. It is nestled in an old Victorian style home and meets all the marks for a perfect local cafe. Judging by the amount of people who came, stayed for a while and went, I'd say that it is a favorite spot to many. What I really like about Foxy Loxy is it is more than a coffee shop. It's also a cool place to chill and have a nice convo with friends. It gives me vibes of Central Perk, the fictitious coffee shop on the show Friends. During my first visit, on a night that I met up there with a few friends, I tried their chicken taco with a side of guacamole. It was Tex Mex style, packed with marinated pulled chicken, salsa verde, cilantro and queso fresco...and definitely a must try. After visiting their sister coffee shop in town, we decided to check this location out as we passed by on a walk. My friend and I happened to be in Savannah on a day when all of the buses were shut down, which made us walk this way, which lead us to trying this coffee shop...it must have been meant to be! I wasn't sure how taco, print shop, and a café would come together to receive a 4.5+ star review, but somehow it works here! I stopped by for a late lunch on Saturday in late June. I ordered a chicken taco (they said that's the most popular) and the garden vegetable taco (daily special), along with Foxy brownie and a cortadito. And my 5 star (that I rarely do!) is largely for the garden vegetable taco. So amazingly fresh, perfectly chopped and sauteed, in a soft wheat taco shell. It was so amazing and I wished I had ordered 2 of this, although the chicken taco was pretty good as well. Brownie was very good, too, with soft texture and tiny bits of coffee beans and slight hint of cinnamon. Cortadito was sweetened, which I didn't expect, but it was smooth and delicious. I also got the jalapeno cheddar biscuit, which was yummy as well. The vibe is also very hip/ hippy, young, free, and not too pretensious. It was also surprisingly quiet, which was a pleasant surprise. Also the food smell doesn't overwhelm the space. I don't know how they do it, but it was another pleasant surprise. (I don't like when cafes serve food and the whole space smells like onion or bad pressed sandwiches.) The prints for sale on the wall are very cute and interesting, which added an extra character to the place. Staff members are very friendly and helpful, too. I'm so happy I visited this place, and I hope I will be back soon! (Probably will visit again for dinner today..:)) Oh and the prices are great, too. ($3.75 for a taco! It reminded me of SoHo in NY. So basically I loved it. We came here with my parents and my dad has a walker he uses everywhere we go, so I was very happy to see they had a ramp for him to go inside the coffee shop. The entrance can get crowed BC of the line that forms of customers placing their order. Inside is spacious and you can find a cozy den. Amazing cafe con leche, horchata latte, churro muffin, pudding bread, zucchini bread and quiches. Can you tell all we did was ear? Thats a good sign. They have vegan options.
