This is a really cool coffee shop in a really hip and beautiful part of town. Coffee was great. Store made pastries all look great, and our sampling tasted just as good too: ginger cookies, shortbread (one with cashews one with rosemary and lemon), brownie. They also have wine and cheese and sandwiches and kolaches (are we in Texas?). The interior space is comfortable with a good mix of comfy chairs and a lot of tables and chairs to accomodate the local students. Local art work onthe walls - some for sale. They were advertising a marshmallow roast the night we were there, but we couldn't stick around. Very cool. read more

Everyone, including customers, are always happy which is refreshing to see and rare. Lunch hour is always busy and parking usually takes longer to find than the time it takes to order your meal and eat, not their fault though. Great pit stop spot when running errands! read more

This is one of my fav cafes in SAV. Truly impressed with their Mexican Mocha (blend of expresso, dark chocolate, habanero and cinnamon) and Horchata Latte (milk, vanilla, cinammon and expresso). A friendly barista asks for your order. You are given a homey, big mug, perhaps more reminiscent of the mug of hot chocolate your mother made you after a day off from school, spent building a snow fort, of some of the most delicious, bold, and fragrant coffee of your life. You spot the puffy meat filled buns on the counter and after being informed by the barista that it is a Tex Mex breakfast pastry, you order the bacon and the chorizo. Both are packed with flavor and pleasantly chewy. You take all said items to the spacious couch, or the porch, or the expansive upstairs, which puts you in mind of Grandma's house and is the warmest you've felt since the early fall. When you look down, you see the cup is now empty and unfortunately must leave and return to the real world. Or maybe instead, you order another cup and delay the inevitable. read more

Stale cinnamon rolls - twice now! We love Foxy Loxy , but they sell very stale pastry. The first time we bought cinnamon rolls to take home and they were as stale and dry as a brick. They did ask if we wanted them heated up, but we were taking them home and we were so disappointed once we got them home. This morning I asked specifically if the cinnamon rolls were fresh and the cashier very convincingly said "Yes, very fresh". Do I bought several to take home. Once again they were so stale they would gag you. They did have a one day old sign on their donuts but no warning on the cinnamon rolls. $3 for a stale pastry is outrageous. I know times are tough for restaurants but times are also time for us snd we don't have $ to throw away. When these cinnamon rolls are fresh they are the best in Savannah but I don't like being lied to and sold old pastry. read more

What a pleasant way to start a morning. I went to Foxy Loxy to grab a small bite and check out the coffee. I got a bacon and cheese kolache and a cubano espresso. Both had great flavor and the kolache was perfect for a small bite to eat. The atmosphere was pretty cool- just meander around the different rooms in the old house and find a place to get cozy. Bad experience. I used to love this place until I rented the courtyard for an event. I was rudely spoken to and about by customers who refused to leave and give me a 15 min timeframe to set up and breakdown. Communication from staff and owner was limited and almost non existent. Staff there stood around and monitored rather than help. I spent over $800 after I had to buy champagne at the last min because there was no communication about not bringing my own and was treated like a red headed step child. Foxy Loxy's ambiance is what absolutely sold me on the cafe. The outdoor patio and bonfire/wine night is a wonderful experience. The decorations are beautiful and it's a perfect place to enjoy conversation with friends. The staff is really kind and the prices are actually reasonable. This is what a coffee shop should be. From the beautiful tin ceiling to the hip baristas that make a mean cafe Cubano, it all works. So take a load off, enjoy a bacon brownie with chocolate bourbon sauce, along with your favorite newspaper. It doesn't hurt, either, that the owner played the Smiths and New Order while I was there. Took everyone's advice and tried the Horchata Latte. We got it iced to beat the summer Georgia heat. It was delicious. Definitely recommend you drink it fast before the ice melts. They are serving delicious Perc Coffee, one of Georgia's premier craft roasters. I only wish they had some pour over options and the beans they sold were a bit fresher. Though, this shop is not necessarily designed for the coffee aficionado, I'm thankful they are at least using great beans. read more

This might just be my favorite coffee shop in all the land. The horchata latte really is like autumn in a cup. I tried it both iced and hot...and I think I like it better iced. They serve perc coffee, and I tried the Colombia drip. Add a little half and half and voila!! The best coffee down south. They have a ton of pastries and desserts including different brownies (regular, bacon, vegan, goat cheese), kolaches, yogurt/granola, tres leches...the list goes on. They also serve tacos and brunch food. The cafe itself is so fun with tons of art everywhere and tons of seating. I love foxy. read more

My wife and I loved our visit here. I had a cappuccino and she ordered an iced latte- which they made decaf for her! I was really surprised to taste how rich her drink was- I'm used to iced lattes being fairly thin and watery. Our desserts were tasty too, if not a little too big for an afternoon treat :) The house is pretty cool- lots of cozy rooms and corners to relax in, though the layout was slightly confusing. We weren't sure where we could go and where we couldn't, and at one point we ended up outside not sure if the tables behind the house were for Foxy Loxy patrons or for the restaurant next door. I have yet to find a coffee shop that compares to Foxy Loxy and I've tried a lot in LA. I came close once,with Hungry Ghost on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, but it wasn't quite the same. I don't know what it is about this place, but I love it. 10/10 would highly recommend. read more

I super loved this place...I mean, anywhere that has empanadas is a-okay in my book! Sadly, having just had lunch, I didn't get to try said empanadas...or the tacos that sounded oh so tasty. Which really just means I have to go back, ASAP. What I did try was the Mexican Mocha. I'm always on the lookout for a good Mexican coffee or hot chocolate. While I would have prefered this to have just a *little* more chocolate to hit that flavor memory that makes me so happy, this was a pleasant approximation of past spicy chocolate/coffee drinks I've had in the past and I greatly enjoyed it. I also got one of the bite sized versions of the foxy brownie, which was DIVINE, and just enough to take off the edge of my sweet food craving. This place is so cute! We went on Saturday night for Fire and Wine (7-11pm) for half off bottles of wine. We got this Chardonnay (I think) that was fermented in stainless steel or something...it was quite yummy. We sat on the outside patio where they had cute Christmas lights and heat lamps and free s'mores! The atmosphere of this place is great and I can't wait to go back and try more drinks and food. I don't think they have a private lot but there was plenty of street parking in front and on the side streets. read more

Stopped into Foxy Loxy's during a recent trip to Savannah and was very glad I went. Had a couple of tacos for lunch. The place looks tiny from the outside, but they have a courtyard out back with a lot of tables and there is quite a bit of room in the restaurant as well. Food came out quickly and was good. My tacos were a little more cheesy than I expected. The two taco shells had melted cheese in between them and they were fried. I tend to like soft shelled tacos better. read more

Winning inexpensive cafe with super coffees, mouth- watering sandwiches and scrumptious salads (the Casablanca bowl of greens topped with either chicken or a vegetable patty is my fav!). All the salads and sandwiches can be ordered as half portions, and since the sizes served here are large they are more than enough for an ample lunch! This is one of the few healthy options in Savannah, a hipster styled cafe that is completely authentic, not at all fake. There isn't anything here to dislike but the only reason it fails to get a fifth star is that the indoor seating area is mostly hard wooden benches so it's not the most comfortable in the world -- unless you're lucky enough to grab one of the two leather sofas in the rear! Overall a great bargain for really super food! And a must stop for visiting tourists, this is the perfect antidote from too much smoked ribs and fried chicken or from the pubs that seem to dominate the riverfront read more

I went for lunch to treat myself and was so glad I chose this place! It was super quaint and adorable with very friendly and helpful service. I got the cheese plate and a glass of wine both of which were very good! What really made it for me though was the garden in the back. Plenty of outdoor seating, and you just feel like you're in a little, secret oasis. Very relaxed place that would be good for a work lunch or an afternoon pick me up! This was in walking distance to our B&B and I have to say it was an amazing little place. Super crowded and a long line but honestly the Horchata Latte was an experience well worth the wait. Especially since I needed some caffeine love in my life. I bought some coffee beans to go as well and we've tried the cold brew beans that they sell and the cocoa taste that comes through is just divine. I can't wait to try the other one when we run out of this one. If I lived in Savannah you can bet I would be frequenting this place daily regardless of the lines. They did have some veggie selections on the menu but was limited to a few selections when we stopped-hence my 4 stars. She said they are usually special items. The veg taco was ok, (looked great) but I loved the rancheros Quiche! There are three places/floors for you to cozy into. I've driven by a full house at night when they get musicians in.
