I was a walk in at 1pm and the place was already quite busy! I wanted a gel manipedi, they placed me with Pie after about a 5 min wait! She was an AMAZING person to do my nails! ‍ I havent had a pedicure in over 6 years (my feet are so extremely sensitive and ticklish) and she was incredibly gentle with me and checked in often to make sure she wasn't hurting me. The pedicure chairs and soaking tubs were all super clean and i loved that they used sterile packed single use tools for cuticle care and trimming! Pie did both my pedi and mani, (my manicure i had previously was from another salon who cut me during the process so I was nervous about getting another one). I was kind of nervous because my cuticles are thin and sensitive and easily painful, but again, Pie was super gentle and checked in every time I even flinched slightly to make sure I was okay! I'm super happy I came across this location! Everyone that I spoke to was very kind and polite and sweet. I just got the basic spa pedi with gel polish and a gel manicure with cateye gel. I'm super super happy and will 100% be coming back here!

I needed a last minute pedicure and walked in at this place. They were able to take me in right away. I'm not going to lie, from the outside, I wasn't sure, if I was going to like it. But, once you're inside, you're greeted right away with good ambiance. The place was clean and spacious. I ended up getting the spa pedicure with gel nails. I thought the price was reasonable and the leg massage was great! Overall, great visit!

Decided to re-review Foxy Nails as I realized my pedicure has the top coat missing on my left foot. None are protected with top coat. I didn't realize this till now. I don't know if I'll be coming back.

(Side note) updated my rating because owner did offer to fix it, however finding time to get my nails done again with a one year old is tough and wish it would have gone well the first time. I had high hopes for this place based off other reviews but left a little bummed at the service. I did not realize how bad they looked until I was home. The nail tech seemed very rushed and did not push back my cuticles or clean up my nails before applying the acrylic. I also noticed they are turning an almost yellow color rather than the white I wanted. I'll post a picture of what I asked for and what I received. The picture I showed him had clean definitive lines where the French ended. But what I received looks more like an ombré than French tips. They are pretty chunky. And my thumbs look misshaped. The acrylic also didn't cover the edges of some of my nails. I was also charged a hefty $75 for this. I will not be returning here.

I unfortunately cannot with this place anymore. I keep going back hoping to have a better experience and today I've just had it. I had an extremely small window to get a pedicure before a trip and this is what I ended up with. They are so friendly and always have good availability, but I'm out 1.5hrs and another $70 and now I have to go spend double my time and money just to get it fixed somewhere else and I'm pissed. The gentleman that did my pedi was kind, he gave a great massage, but his hands were a bit trembling and I knew it was going to end up a disaster at the first swipe of the brush. I let it slide, asked him to fix a few spots, he acted like he didn't understand or care, charged me $60, I tipped $10 and there you go. I took my sock off to find the edges I had asked him to fix completely peeling upwards on both feet. Last time I was in there, I got a manicure with no polish, I needed my cuticles cut and give my nails a little bit of shape with a color break. The girl cut my cuticle and I was bleeding a lot. I felt bad and tried to wrap my finger and keep it out of the way or even tell her she could just stop since I wasn't getting any polish, every effort I was told no. Everybody in the place made such a big deal about it and they kept blaming me that I was forcing myself to bleed more. Umm ok?!?!. Yet, they still charged me full price I tipped generously bc I felt so bad and then as I walked away i could see inside the window and I watched the manicurist mock what had just happened. I'm over it. I just can't recommend this place any longer.

This was my first time at foxy nails, and I was with Tiana. In my review, I have posted the inspiration pictures for the nails that I requested and a picture of the nails that I was given. The service I would say is luxury. I have been to nail technicians before, but I really enjoyed this nail salon. As soon as I came in, I was greeted kindly and asked if I wanted a water which they provided immediately. Once I was sat down, it was exactly at my appointment time which was great and timely. The nail technician was kind and inviting. She asked if that was exactly what I wanted and through the whole process confirmed if I liked what I was receiving. She asked about if I liked my shape and I said yes and so on and so forth, which I found great as far as quality goes. I love a technician who continually makes sure that I'm happy with the work being done on my hands. I received a couple of compliments from some of the technicians which I thought was very sweet and made me feel welcome and like they were happy I was there. So by far service was top-tier. I really loved my nails and the way that they came out because it was exactly as requested. The inside of the Salon is extremely clean and very modern. The decorations are adorable, and it was definitely giving "luxury". I would totally recommend this place and I will be coming back!

Special request for short and clean nails

I like that the salon is very clean and they use a new nail file for every client. Maria was gentle, accurate, and professional. She accommodated all my special requests and was very kind and welcoming. I am very happy with their prompt and professional service and will definitely go back.

I've been going to Foxy Nails for a couple months now and they are so welcoming and friendly to everyone who walks in through those doors. I've been getting Gel-X fills and pedicures here. I had the opportunity to get a fill by Nick. He took his time and shaped it the way I wanted it to be. It was my first time getting cat eye effect and I was amazed by the results. Shout out Hannah, she NEVER misses! My favorite nail tech to date, she's patient, fast, amazing, she's been able to do every crazy design I've brought to her and the best part is the strength of the set. I bartend so tend to chip and break nails if they aren't very strong, I have yet to break one after she does my full set. I always used to have at least two or three missing when it came time for my fill until Hannah. She's now the only person I'll go to. I am from Las Vegas, my daughter just moved here. I looked up the reviews and thought this was a good choice. I have never felt so rushed and had such terrible service and have been getting acrylic nails and pedicures for 30 years! My daughter's manicure they didn't even clean under the nails, the pedicure with get polish, the so called deluxe pedicure, they didn't even file heels. Sorry, but very disappointing!!!! I always tip very well, not this time, tips are earned. read more

Unfortunately, not the best experience that I've had nail tech was nice, but my nails are all different lengths and different sizes. She didn't even compare nails to make sure that they were the same length when she was cutting them down... First photo is what I asked for second photo is what I got definitely a bummer paying $70 but of course we never like to mention flaws when we're getting our nails done so I just bit the bullet on this one .. I would not be coming back. read more

Honestly I wasn't going to do a bad rating for this shop because we came in an hour and a half before closing, but the longer I look at these nails, the more I can't believe that I paid $75 (& tip) for the nails. We called before we came in. There was no prep work, I'm talking no filing, cuticle pushing/removal, nail cutting. They literally asked my girlfriend if she wanted cuticle oil at the end and then seemed upset when she said yes. I'm the type of person who will tip regardless. This shop staff was RUDE on top of charging $75 for extremely bad nails. The vibe was awful and super uncomfortable. My tech literally walked away after asking me a question while I was answering it among other things. I honestly wanted to leave the shop as soon as possible because they were unbearable to interact with, so I didn't show them how bad they are but they all have eyes and could see how bad they are. One person did the acrylic and another did the paint. A third person looked over my nails before I left. It's like they did bad on purpose. This morning I am filing my nails in the multiple spots that the nail polish glooped up and it starts to leak all over the place due to the nails not being cured. I have to repaint/shape the nails today. I should have just done them myself. read more

I was traveling from out of town to Reno in a panic as I realized I didn't have my nails done for a wedding I was attending on the weekend. After looking through yelp, I came across foxy nails and immediately called late at night the day before, with no expectation of getting in. Patrick and his team were able to accommodate me the next morning early and I am so grateful! Don't be mistaken by the outside look of this place, it's a true hidden gem. The staff are very polite, super nice and very diligent. They don't rush and take their time to make everything look perfect, which is something I so appreciate. My nails also were in terrible condition before coming here so truly a before and after situation in the best of ways. Patrick did such an incredible job. Pretty bummed. I just went here for a deluxe pedicure. I paid $65 for this. I had heard good things about this place but didn't experience this. I had a younger man (maybe 30 or 40) he wasn't friendly. I asked him not to cut my nails because he came to immediately cut them. My feet had only been soaking for maybe 4 minutes. He then shaped them how I asked and started the massage. He used a lotion and only did up and down motions. I was hoping for a massage I didn't really get. My best friend next me to got the same pedicure as me. After the lotion he applied an oil and then was done. In the deluxe is a mud mask which I didn't get. He then did the hot stones which only lasted 2 minutes. He then rushed through painting my nails and pretty much told me to leave. I asked about the mask and he said he did the oil instead without asking me. I paid for the more expensive pedicure so I could get more focused time, he didn't know much of anything on the extras so I'm pretty upset I paid so much for bar service. He was also immediately doing someone's nails seconds after finishing with me so it feels he just didn't want to serve me read more

Eric and John did a wonderful job with my and my daughters nails. They squeezed us in at a time where everyone in Reno decided to go get their nails done. My nails were done with precision and care. My gel nails are not thick and he had the patience for me to pick up 10 Different colors because I wanted "Jelly Bean" nails. My daughter loved hers too, but unfortunately they already flaked off, but they were regular polish and she's a kid, so no expectations there. We will be back!! read more

Walk into Sola and you will find Trendy Nails down the hall to your right. It's a small studio with two massage chairs for spa pedicures and two desks for manicures. I decided to try a pedicure. There were 3 options: Basic ($35), Deluxe ($50), and Trendy VIP ($75). The Basic is more of an express pedicure whereas the Deluxe includes everything the Basic does as well as a sugar scrub, mineral mask, and hot stones. The jasmine scent was perfect-- not too strong. (There were 3 other scents to choose from one of which I remember for certain was lavender and I think one may have been rose related). Also worth mentioning was that this place felt clean and didn't have a strong chemical smell like some other larger nail salons do-- I was very comfortable as a pregnant lady (smells can be overwhelming at times so I was grateful). The couple who owned the place were very personable (sorry, I forgot their names). They are originally from Vietnam but were able to hold conversations with me in English just fine. Overall, yes, I'd recommend Trendy Nails. Their prices are similar to other nail salons but their smaller studio feels more calm and relaxing. I also liked feeling like I was a special valued customer rather than just another person to process and get through.

Kim knew what I was feeling and began a comprehensive plan to help me get back on track. I went from literally crawling into my appointment to walking in and out like a normal person. My pain has improved to the extent that I now have mobility and limited pain and I am confident that with Kim's help, I'll be running and lifting again in no time. Kim cares. I've become a regular at this nail salon and really love the service and the staff. They are very kind and provide a personalized approach with all their customers. I have never once received a bad service after going many times. I usually get a hard gel manicure and they last about 3 weeks (that's usually when they've become very grown out as my nails grow fast). Im also extremely hard on my nails and always had problems with them breaking before going to foxy nails. I could barely get one to two weeks out of a hard gel manicure and told Erik this the first time he did my nails and they have never once cracked, chipped, or broken since I've been going here. This place is awesome. Erik usually does my nails but I've had other technicians provide a service before and my sister also gets hard gel done here and the results are always consistently perfect. I went in for a pedicure and full set. The guy I had the appt with was not there, because I was already getting my pedicure I thought I would just get a full set and try someone new. Biggest mistake! I kept telling the lady that what she was doing was not what I asked for. I felt bad because she kept saying they were beautiful but by the time she was done I was so frustrated I paid and left. They were so bad I didn't even want to show them. Luckily I went to get my hair done the same day and there was a nail tech in that location who fixed and redid my nails. I ended paying more and learned my lesson on both waiting to go to my usual people. Language is a huge factor there!!!! Pedicures there are amazing though! read more

I always get a perfect hard acrylic set and I leave a good review everytime. However, today's visit was a significant departure from my previous experiences. Despite arriving 10 minutes early for my appointment, I was left waiting for over an hour. During that time, I watched as numerous customers who arrived after me were promptly served. I had such a great experience at Foxy Nails! I booked with Kim, and she was absolutely amazing. She was super fast, efficient, and did exactly what I asked for with no problems at all. I got Gel-X nails for the first time, and I'm seriously obsessed with how they turned out -- I would 100% do them again! After my nails were done, I asked if they happened to have time to squeeze me in for a pedicure, and they were SO accommodating. I have going to Nick at Foxy Nails for over a year and I am thrilled with my pedicure every time. His relaxing leg massage is the best and my pedi lasts a long time. The shop is very modern and clean and the staff is uber polite and professional. Although I call ahead to set up an appointment, they are very accommodating to walk-ins. This salon is affordable, too!. On really, really busy days they might run a little short on hot water, but all in all you cannot go wrong. I love Foxy Nails! Even though the location isn't the best in town, you'll be surprised when you walk in. The store is clean, the owner and staff are super nice, and the service is exceptional while affordable. Somehow, I tend to prefer the male manicurists (Don or Nick). I went in for s basic pedicure and it was nothing but basic. The wait was a little longer than normal because they were very busy. While I was waiting they offered me a comfortable chair and different beverages. The pedicure was great! The gentleman doing it was talkative and very kind. The salon was really clean - I didn't see any instance of dirty tools or anything like that. The nail techs were amazing. What an amazing experience! I haven't had my nails done for me in about a decade, and foxy nails does not mess around. I was a walk-in and received help in less than 20 minutes. A full set of quality acrylic nails cost me next to nothing compared to other salons in town. Service was kind and incredibly accommodating, and they even offered me a cuticle oil free of charge. I recently moved to Reno and was looking for a new place for my nails. I chose Foxy Nails because it's highly rated and happens to be close to where I live. I went here to get my nails done on the 7th of December and have issues with nails since then. 3 popped off within the first week. Thankfully they fixed those. I would NOT reccommend this nail salon !The one time I went there I sat down and put my feet in cold water. That was NOT a good start. The Men technician spent most of the time during my pedicure speaking, in another language,and do my pedicure very fast was so upset over this horrible customre service DO NOT GO HERE.
