I was a walk in at 1pm and the place was already quite busy! I wanted a gel manipedi, they placed me with Pie after about a 5 min wait! She was an AMAZING person to do my nails! ‍ I havent had a pedicure in over 6 years (my feet are so extremely sensitive and ticklish) and she was incredibly gentle with me and checked in often to make sure she wasn't hurting me. The pedicure chairs and soaking tubs were all super clean and i loved that they used sterile packed single use tools for cuticle care and trimming! Pie did both my pedi and mani, (my manicure i had previously was from another salon who cut me during the process so I was nervous about getting another one). I was kind of nervous because my cuticles are thin and sensitive and easily painful, but again, Pie was super gentle and checked in every time I even flinched slightly to make sure I was okay! I'm super happy I came across this location! Everyone that I spoke to was very kind and polite and sweet. I just got the basic spa pedi with gel polish and a gel manicure with cateye gel. I'm super super happy and will 100% be coming back here!

I needed a last minute pedicure and walked in at this place. They were able to take me in right away. I'm not going to lie, from the outside, I wasn't sure, if I was going to like it. But, once you're inside, you're greeted right away with good ambiance. The place was clean and spacious. I ended up getting the spa pedicure with gel nails. I thought the price was reasonable and the leg massage was great! Overall, great visit!

Decided to re-review Foxy Nails as I realized my pedicure has the top coat missing on my left foot. None are protected with top coat. I didn't realize this till now. I don't know if I'll be coming back.

(Side note) updated my rating because owner did offer to fix it, however finding time to get my nails done again with a one year old is tough and wish it would have gone well the first time. I had high hopes for this place based off other reviews but left a little bummed at the service. I did not realize how bad they looked until I was home. The nail tech seemed very rushed and did not push back my cuticles or clean up my nails before applying the acrylic. I also noticed they are turning an almost yellow color rather than the white I wanted. I'll post a picture of what I asked for and what I received. The picture I showed him had clean definitive lines where the French ended. But what I received looks more like an ombré than French tips. They are pretty chunky. And my thumbs look misshaped. The acrylic also didn't cover the edges of some of my nails. I was also charged a hefty $75 for this. I will not be returning here.

I unfortunately cannot with this place anymore. I keep going back hoping to have a better experience and today I've just had it. I had an extremely small window to get a pedicure before a trip and this is what I ended up with. They are so friendly and always have good availability, but I'm out 1.5hrs and another $70 and now I have to go spend double my time and money just to get it fixed somewhere else and I'm pissed. The gentleman that did my pedi was kind, he gave a great massage, but his hands were a bit trembling and I knew it was going to end up a disaster at the first swipe of the brush. I let it slide, asked him to fix a few spots, he acted like he didn't understand or care, charged me $60, I tipped $10 and there you go. I took my sock off to find the edges I had asked him to fix completely peeling upwards on both feet. Last time I was in there, I got a manicure with no polish, I needed my cuticles cut and give my nails a little bit of shape with a color break. The girl cut my cuticle and I was bleeding a lot. I felt bad and tried to wrap my finger and keep it out of the way or even tell her she could just stop since I wasn't getting any polish, every effort I was told no. Everybody in the place made such a big deal about it and they kept blaming me that I was forcing myself to bleed more. Umm ok?!?!. Yet, they still charged me full price I tipped generously bc I felt so bad and then as I walked away i could see inside the window and I watched the manicurist mock what had just happened. I'm over it. I just can't recommend this place any longer.

This was my first time at foxy nails, and I was with Tiana. In my review, I have posted the inspiration pictures for the nails that I requested and a picture of the nails that I was given. The service I would say is luxury. I have been to nail technicians before, but I really enjoyed this nail salon. As soon as I came in, I was greeted kindly and asked if I wanted a water which they provided immediately. Once I was sat down, it was exactly at my appointment time which was great and timely. The nail technician was kind and inviting. She asked if that was exactly what I wanted and through the whole process confirmed if I liked what I was receiving. She asked about if I liked my shape and I said yes and so on and so forth, which I found great as far as quality goes. I love a technician who continually makes sure that I'm happy with the work being done on my hands. I received a couple of compliments from some of the technicians which I thought was very sweet and made me feel welcome and like they were happy I was there. So by far service was top-tier. I really loved my nails and the way that they came out because it was exactly as requested. The inside of the Salon is extremely clean and very modern. The decorations are adorable, and it was definitely giving "luxury". I would totally recommend this place and I will be coming back!

Special request for short and clean nails

I like that the salon is very clean and they use a new nail file for every client. Maria was gentle, accurate, and professional. She accommodated all my special requests and was very kind and welcoming. I am very happy with their prompt and professional service and will definitely go back.

Ever since the new owners took over, it has not been the same. I cannot even make an appointment properly which is super frustrating. I called in for my husband and his friends to get pedis before their friend's bachelor party and the guy who answered the phone failed to understand me to make the appointment. I tried telling him it is for guys as usually the place needs to know this and he was failing to understand. This is not the first time either, last time the same guy did not note my appointment in their books. read more

(This is an edited review. Read bottom for the update.) I came here for a last minute appointment since my nail technician had an emergency today. I'm glad they were able to accommodate me on short notice. I asked for a soak off and hard gel overlays ($60.00 total). However, I was disappointed in the final product (see photos). I had Hannah as a nail technician, and she was nice. But I would have appreciated better and more meticulous prep work. The prep was rushed. She didn't clean my cuticles. I'm unsure if I should have asked for this, but all my previous nail technicians have always cleaned my cuticles before doing any work. Additionally, she did not file all the nails during the prep but rather after the hard gel was placed on the nails. I asked for almond, but as you can see from the pictures, there are a couple that ARE almond, but the rest are either oval or almost-almond. You can clearly see the difference and inconsistency of the shape with the picture of my two pinkies. I did ask her to fix the shape when I did not like them or did not think they were almond, which she did, but you can only ask so much. Also, the polish is sloppy and uneven along the cuticle line; this wouldn't be an issue if good prep work was done, and the job wasn't rushed. Hannah was also on her phone texting during my service. I don't have an issue with folks being on the phone because it may have been an emergency (and I try my best to understand these scenarios), but do communicate this with your customer. Hannah didn't communicate anything with me when answering texts, and her texting added to the neglect of my nails being done properly. I gave three stars because personally, this is an average job. I'm particular about my nails. This may be a "great job" for some, but this isn't worth the $60.00 I was charged plus tip. Last time I got my nails done was in Mexico City, and the women there were detailed-oriented, took their time, and were meticulous about every step. There, I got removal of mani and pedi, an acrylic overlay with nail art, pedicure spa and gel pedi, pedicure spa and cleaning for my fiancé, and was charged around $70.00 USD for ALL OF THAT. Again, in comparison to those services in Mexico City and how much I paid for a manicure at Foxy Nails, I was highly disappointed in paying $60.00 plus tip. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. I hope they do improve. UPDATE from 3/5 to 5/5 After writing this review, the owner, Eric, sent me a message to rectify the issue. He apologized for the inconvenience caused and offered to personally fix my nails the same day or another time. I went back the same day an hour before closing, and the place was busy. I waited for a few minutes since Eric was with another customer, and once he finished, he came to me, looked at my nails, apologized, and said he would fix it. Eric did an EXCELLENT JOB. Although he worked fast, he maintained being meticulous, detail-oriented, and precise about every step from prep to finish. He filed my nails to the almond shape I wanted, cleaned up the cuticles, and painted my nails with clean lines (SEE NEW PHOTOS because it's like night and day). I also appreciated the way he spoke to customers in a kind manner. I could tell some folks were his regulars. There was a woman who was waiting for him patiently. I'm sure she had an appointment with him at the time I came, but I was an unexpected customer at that time due to the current situation. She seemed like a regular, and Eric had great rapport with her. Overall, Eric provided top-tier customer service. I appreciated how fast he responded and addressed my review and problem with the previous set of nails. After this, I will come back to Foxy Nails and request Eric. Thank you again! I was skeptical to go here because of some of the reviews, but I had a good experience. I did my pedicure first with Peter and then I went back the next day to get my manicure done by nail technician Peter. I am simple with what service I like, and Peter did just that. Peter did a foot massage that helped my aching feet. I was very pleased. Yes, there's a pet grooming service next door but the people in the nail salon are professional and friendly. I was excited to try this nail shop after reading the reviews. Well it was fake news. I wish I had my tech name but she was terrible. 1.5 hours for a removal of powder, upgraded pedicure.. 1min stone massage, uneven toe nails and she even forgot to cure my left hand. She added cuticle oil and was done. No hand massage for $115? I put lotion myself and proceeded to pay. When I took out my credit card, I noticed my left hand nails were matte.. I told her and she proceeded to tell me I didn't cure them by turning on the UV light... umm hello?! She rubbed cuticle oil. A disaster. I was upset but had to run to pick up my daughter. Philip is so nice and he gave me the best foot massage I've ever had during a pedicure by far. I had such a stellar experience. He let me just chill with my eyes closed and the massage chair running but was just as excited to talk to me when I woke up. Very professional and extremely relaxing. The signature pedicure is incredible btw. I probably got a solid 20 minutes of time that my feet and legs were being massaged and this included scrub, lotion, and hot stones. I don't think I'd come back here again. First, I had an appointment for a gel manicure and had to wait 20 minutes to be seen by a nail tech. It was the same wait as all of the walk ins. Everyone was kind and I appreciated that. The next thing is that I was not sure how clean the tools were. I included a picture below of some cut on my finger and I am not sure where it came from. I also did not receive the correct color I asked for. If I knew how sanitary their tools were, I would possibly return but it wasn't worth it for me. read more

I'm from out of town and broke a nail out here. I looked at so many shops and came across Foxy Nails. They had good reviews and nice nail pics! I called and asked if the had Gel-X nails, which they said they did. When I arrived and was seated she said she only had "hybrid" which I've never her of. But I trusted her. I had a previous set in my hands that I got done in LA. She offered (Hannah) to just fill and replace my broken nail . She left them so bulky and nail polish so uneven. When she finished I let her know they were bulky and I didn't like she proceeds to say "your old nails didn't need a fill" She honestly didn't care that I wasn't happy about them and didn't even offer to fix . Besides her horrible job she did in my nails her attitude was even worse. I don't expect them to become my friend but good customer service is always expected . read more

i went to this salon for the first time today after checking out various nail salons in Reno. Nick was my tech and he was absolutely amazing. He has strong hands for leg/hand massage, which I prefer. Walk into Sola and you will find Trendy Nails down the hall to your right. It's a small studio with two massage chairs for spa pedicures and two desks for manicures. I decided to try a pedicure. There were 3 options: Basic ($35), Deluxe ($50), and Trendy VIP ($75). The Basic is more of an express pedicure whereas the Deluxe includes everything the Basic does as well as a sugar scrub, mineral mask, and hot stones. The jasmine scent was perfect-- not too strong. (There were 3 other scents to choose from one of which I remember for certain was lavender and I think one may have been rose related). Also worth mentioning was that this place felt clean and didn't have a strong chemical smell like some other larger nail salons do-- I was very comfortable as a pregnant lady (smells can be overwhelming at times so I was grateful). The couple who owned the place were very personable (sorry, I forgot their names). They are originally from Vietnam but were able to hold conversations with me in English just fine. Overall, yes, I'd recommend Trendy Nails. Their prices are similar to other nail salons but their smaller studio feels more calm and relaxing. I also liked feeling like I was a special valued customer rather than just another person to process and get through.

I had been to multiple specialists, surgeons, and the standard procedure for these issues is rest, pain meds, muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatories, and more rest. I went five weeks of being in pain so bad that it was debilitating. I went from my bed to the couch every day. That was my life. Kim knew what I was feeling and began a comprehensive plan to help me get back on track. I went from literally crawling into my appointment to walking in and out like a normal person. My pain has improved to the extent that I now have mobility and limited pain and I am confident that with Kim's help, I'll be running and lifting again in no time. Kim cares. I've become a regular at this nail salon and really love the service and the staff. They are very kind and provide a personalized approach with all their customers. I have never once received a bad service after going many times. I usually get a hard gel manicure and they last about 3 weeks (that's usually when they've become very grown out as my nails grow fast). Im also extremely hard on my nails and always had problems with them breaking before going to foxy nails. I could barely get one to two weeks out of a hard gel manicure and told Erik this the first time he did my nails and they have never once cracked, chipped, or broken since I've been going here. This place is awesome. Erik usually does my nails but I've had other technicians provide a service before and my sister also gets hard gel done here and the results are always consistently perfect. They are very competitive with their pricing and will make sure you leave happy. Give them a try and you likely will not be going anywhere else for your nail services. read more

I went in for a pedicure and full set. The guy I had the appt with was not there, because I was already getting my pedicure I thought I would just get a full set and try someone new. Biggest mistake! I kept telling the lady that what she was doing was not what I asked for. I felt bad because she kept saying they were beautiful but by the time she was done I was so frustrated I paid and left. They were so bad I didn't even want to show them. Luckily I went to get my hair done the same day and there was a nail tech in that location who fixed and redid my nails. I ended paying more and learned my lesson on both waiting to go to my usual people. Language is a huge factor there!!!! Pedicures there are amazing though! read more

I've been coming to this salon for the last six months and have consistently been happy with their work, which is why I kept returning. I always get a perfect hard acrylic set and I leave a good review everytime. However, today's visit was a significant departure from my previous experiences. Despite arriving 10 minutes early for my appointment, I was left waiting for over an hour. During that time, I watched as numerous customers who arrived after me were promptly served. I had such a great experience at Foxy Nails! I booked with Kim, and she was absolutely amazing. She was super fast, efficient, and did exactly what I asked for with no problems at all. I got Gel-X nails for the first time, and I'm seriously obsessed with how they turned out -- I would 100% do them again! After my nails were done, I asked if they happened to have time to squeeze me in for a pedicure, and they were SO accommodating. i found tina when she was in beauty school and couldn't wait for her to find a salon to work at. when i went in to get my bi-weekly mani & pedi from laura & tina (vietnamese tina), i saw that she was working as the esthetician there & was thrilled! i immediately scheduled a facial & back facial (for different times) i have never had a more relaxing back facial in my life! the facial was to die for too, she only uses dermalogica (on herself & her clients) & won't prescribe products unless u need them...i love this place!!!! she's the only white person that works there, if you get confused ;) read more

I have going to Nick at Foxy Nails for over a year and I am thrilled with my pedicure every time. His relaxing leg massage is the best and my pedi lasts a long time. The shop is very modern and clean and the staff is uber polite and professional. Although I call ahead to set up an appointment, they are very accommodating to walk-ins. This salon is affordable, too!. On really, really busy days they might run a little short on hot water, but all in all you cannot go wrong. I love Foxy Nails! Even though the location isn't the best in town, you'll be surprised when you walk in. The store is clean, the owner and staff are super nice, and the service is exceptional while affordable. Somehow, I tend to prefer the male manicurists (Don or Nick). Don has been there for a while and he's very good. Nick is new, but he's a funny guy and he always makes sure his customers are happy with the service. I went in for s basic pedicure and it was nothing but basic. The wait was a little longer than normal because they were very busy. While I was waiting they offered me a comfortable chair and different beverages. The pedicure was great! The gentleman doing it was talkative and very kind. So the first thing I look for in a salon is cleanliness. I think they recently remodeled Foxy Nails and it looks great. The salon was really clean - I didn't see any instance of dirty tools or anything like that. The nail techs were amazing. What an amazing experience! I haven't had my nails done for me in about a decade, and foxy nails does not mess around. I was a walk-in and received help in less than 20 minutes. A full set of quality acrylic nails cost me next to nothing compared to other salons in town. Service was kind and incredibly accommodating, and they even offered me a cuticle oil free of charge. I recently moved to Reno and was looking for a new place for my nails. I chose Foxy Nails because it's highly rated and happens to be close to where I live. I went here to get my nails done on the 7th of December and have issues with nails since then. 3 popped off within the first week. Thankfully they fixed those. Love this place! I have been coming here this past year and I am so happy I found them. Eric is absolutely amazing at what he does. I always go for a neutral look and Eric is always so spot on and picks the best colors to match my taste. I would NOT reccommend this nail salon !The one time I went there I sat down and put my feet in cold water. That was NOT a good start. The Men technician spent most of the time during my pedicure speaking, in another language,and do my pedicure very fast was so upset over this horrible customre service DO NOT GO HERE. This is one of those places that you would see on Dateline because of how terrible it is. read more
