Fozy's was a great relief after looking at st Michael's crab & Steak house. Predictable fried menu. Foxy' is Open space -- bright. On the water. My companion is not Covid phobic but Covid Cautious. They took good care of us. A lot of unexpected items on the drink and both appetizer and entree menu. We found 5 items on the appetizer menu to make a meal. My favorite were the roasted Baja oysters with cheese and jalapeño. Interesting drinks menu too. The place skews to the younger side. Live singer made the evening even more wonderful. read more

OK, I'm going to give this one a little slack as The coronavirus has made things difficult. I must say, however the staff and clientele did not do much for social distancing. Both our waitress and hostess were "chin dippers" - in other words, leaving their nose above the mask. If this had been normal times, I would've given this place two stars but I'm going to bump it up one because of what we are going through in this country. What you see is what you get. Unpretentious food and a cocktail/beer/wine menu which is 3 times as big as the food menu. Pretzel is good, as are the burnt ends. Salads are ok...wouldn't rave about them. Table next to us had burgers and they looked good so had menu envy. This place is right on the water. Great view. Better boat and people watching. This local restaurant and bar has changed owners over the years. The current operation is a typical tourist eatery. It offers nice harbor views with low grade to marginal food and drink. My Margarita tasted like lime aid and the chicken sandwich was too dry to consume. It was passed to my partner to add in his average salad. It's not a restaurant for a good meal but one of the few you can dine outside with your dog. St Michaels has much better dining options. read more

We tried this place because it was nice out and we wanted to sit on the water. We didn't know much more when we got there but it looked like a fun place. We started with the wedge salad which was the smallest piece of a head of lettuce I've ever seen. It was topped with fatty bacon and ironically served with 2 cups of dressing. Wasn't worth $12. When we said something to our server, Katie, she just said that the rest of our food would be coming out soon so we wouldn't be hungry too much longer. We also had the bavarian pretzel. It was supposed to come with spicy mustard but instead came with a side of individual mustard packets. I thought it might be due to Covid-19 but other condiments and dressings weren't individually packed so I'm not sure what that was about. Lastly, we had an order of jerk wings. The tamarind it came with should have been pretty flavorful but it was really watered down and tasteless. We only ate about half of them. I also ordered a mimosa which was undrinkable. It's champagne and OJ... How do you mess that up? I didn't see a manager the entire time I was there because I would have liked to have spoken with someone in person. It wasn't so much that the food was inedible or misrepresented as our server not caring that we weren't happy with anything. We came here because while in the area, we wanted to get some crab legs that were on the menu. Somehow by 1:00 at lunch, they sold out. The food was fine. Not great, not bad. But the service was awful. The waitress forgot my son's lunch. Then told us it will be right out and finally got it 20 minutes after us. She also screwed up my drink order, which was water with lemon. I know, complex order. Needless to say that we will look elsewhere. It's a shame, looked like a cool spot. Exited to say that it was crab legs, not crabs in response to the owner's reply. All things considered, that's the least of the issue. The waitress forgetting about my sons lunch, said it would be right there and didn't come for 10 minutes or so. We should have just cancelled his order because he ended up eating some of his brothers hot dog and wasn't even hungry anymore. read more

Service was great, clam chowder, burgers and Fall Kale salad were good. Ambiance was very nice. The main reason for the 3 stars was because of the oysters (12 for $26). They were the smallest oysters I've ever seen. They were, at most, the size of a teaspoon. The management should have been embarrassed to even serve those. read more

Foxy's was one of several restaurants recommended by our innkeeper and we chose it because it's got the best outdoor deck by the water. The deck is quite spacious and most importantly completely covered as it actually rained quite heavily while we were there and it was extremely satisfactory to still be able to dine outdoors but well shielded from the rain. We had the short rib "burnt ends" - the meat was all off the bone, very tender and flavorful (it was listed under "shareables" and was indeed a good sharing dish as all the pieces were pretty evenly sized), and soft shell crab sandwich - good but the potato salad side was the tiniest portion I'd ever seen - it came in a teeny little plastic container - literally bite sized, quite baffling why it had to be the that small. The dessert however, was fabulous. We had the key lime cheesecake and it was one of the best cheesecake I'd ever had - only complaint was that there wasn't enough of it for two to share! Overall, we liked this place and will definitely return on our next visit to St Michaels. read more

My first visit and everything overall was good. The MD crab soup was good and served in a huge portion. I was so full from the soup that I couldn't eat my Cuban salad, which was also tasty. Will definitely go back for some live music and check out more menu items. read more

Foxy's is one of our absolute favorite dining experiences on the Eastern Shore and they definitely have a five star indoor/outdoor waterfront location. Their outdoor bar menu gets consistently high marks for freshness and flavor. The service on Thursday, just before the official reopening of businesses in Maryland was really exceptional. We have lived in the area for over 10 years and we wholeheartedly appreciated the chance to sit outside in the beautiful sunshine for the first time in months. Despite how much we enjoyed our cocktails, meal and the staff's genuine attention to detail, along with the restaurants visible efforts to clean surfaces, and require personnel to wear protective facemasks, we were the only patrons entering and/or wearing facemasks at any point during our visit. Sadly, it was very uncomfortable and evident to get glaring looks from other (non-resident/tourists) and even derogatory comments we overheard because my husband and I wore PPE. There are signs in the patio dining area that specifically say "no mask, no service" and signs around St. Michaels implying that public safety is a priority and masks and social distancing is required. MY MASK PROTECTS YOU! And furthermore I care very much about my community and the lives of other people and I have invested and supported the local economy and community. I am disappointed that Foxy's appears to be more concerned about their bottomline than the health of their employees and customers. read more

The decor of the business is not bad but the food was horrible. We started with Nachos, chips were stale tasting and the guacamole was blah. I had the a angus burger. Very dry, overcooked, no taste. I truly do not understand these great reviews. Maybe drinking/eating on the water makes you forgive horrible food. First of all, it's gross here. The bathroom was gross and had about 2 squares of toilet paper left. If the guest's bathroom is gross - how clean do you think the kitchen is???? Our waitress was friendly but when she cleaned off the table she didn't dry it. So it was soaking wet for quite a while. The food wasn't good and the 'crush' drinks were weak as hell. Stopped by for a quick bite but were primarily looking to have a couple drinks on the water before heading back home. We weren't expecting a whole lot food wise but were very pleasantly with the results. I got the angus burger which was very juicy, flavorful and light. Ordered it medium rare and it came out cooked perfectly. It was a big burger but I wasn't bloated after finishing. My wife had the caprese salad which was also very good. Service was very attentive even though it was busy. Drink portions and prices were great. And the views of the boats in the marina added to the experience. I tried this restaurant based on a recommendation from my hotel. I was seated immediately .. and in the shade! .. so that was good. But that is where the "good" ended. I waited 10 minutes for a server to bring me iced tea and take my order. A little later I had to flag her down to get more tea (she wasn't paying attention to me). After another 20 minutes, when I was still waiting for a crab cake and chips, I left. I put $2 on the table for the tea and told my server I was leaving. She just shrugged .. no apology, no offer to check on my order. If you want a place to drink then this may be your place. But if you actually want to eat then you might want to go somewhere else. read more

Looks like it would be an awesome place on a hot summer day on the waterfront. We were there on a very chilly November evening so dined indoors. Service was a bit off. Our waitress was nice but she had a huge party at other end of the building so we spent a lot of time waiting for her to remember us. Hostess really should have sat us in someone else's area but she was pretty spacey. On another night I'm thinking service might have been much better, especially in season. Nevertheless, the food is what we came for and it was very good. I had a fantastic crab cake - nearly all crab - and my wife had the crab cake sandwich which was equally impressive. Daughter had a lovely piece of bourbon salmon. Crab dip appetizer to share was tasty, though they should give you more than two pretzel sticks to dip in it. Overall a good place. Went there with a party of five and had a reservation for dinner. We were sat early in the indoor gazebo area with Reesie as our server. She was amazing and knew the specials by heart and what to recommend. I had the pork bbq sandwhich with fries which was excellent including a side a old bay. Others has a shrimp kebab, baked fish special, steamed shrimp, and the pork bbq and ham salad which were all excellent. For dessert we had key lime pie which was fresh and had a thick homemade crust. Didn't eat there and wouldn't. I don't see the fascination with the view. You are looking at a marina. Not my idea of "fabulous view". Service is slow and unfriendly. Clientele is snooty. We've been here 2 times had one drink and left. 2 other times we attempted to go in but On one occasion the 60 year olds blocking the entrance talking about shopping and their bank accounts would not let us past them, and the other time the 50 something fake orange tan women were sprawled out legs across the only extra chairs at the bar and even if we had asked them to move I would not have wanted to sit near them and their stinky over sprayed perfume. Nice response from the owner. Very welcoming. The reason we returned is Foxy's is it's the only bar in town that serves my husbands beer of choice.
