Went here on a whim after we spent the weekend on the shore this past July. We saw it on FB and wanted to give it a try....and WOW!!!! It was fantastic! We got the drink sampler that came in the pirates chest and it was SOOOO cool. I also LOVED the decor inside. It was PERFECT. The prices aren't over the top and the server and the barmaid were terrific. We got shrimp tacos and they were fabulous. If I could give a rating of 10 stars I would. As a party planner I can absolutely appreciate just HOW MUCH work went into this location to give you the TOTAL experience vibe with the absolutely perfect decor. We will absolutely return again and again. We went on a Sunday afternoon in July around 430pm. There were 4 other tables occupied when we arrived...by the time we left EVERY table in the joint was full. I guess word gets around locally in Cambridge MD how BAD ASS this place is and FB I'm sure helps get the word out to people who aren't local. I'm bringing my grandkids & nephew the next time we cross the bridge and go down the shore so they can experience it firsthand. I even kept my drink coasters and complimentary matchbook. Loved this place! We visited during the Ice and Oyster Festival so the place was packed. I am so glad we visited this fun-themed Tiki bar! There are some special effects and an indoor thunderstorm on the hour. Very impressive! The service was great and staff were attentive. The food was great (had crab soup, crab wontons, and crab cake skillet--awesome crab cake!). The drinks were amazing. My favorite was the Tiki Tiki Boom Boom with a garnish of a pineapple spear covered in caramelized sugar. Would have had more drinks but we had an 80 minute drive home. Would definitely go back! The only criticism I have is that there is only ONE bathroom, and unfortunately we were seated a couple tables from the bathroom. At one point the line was seven people long! Well. Wow. This bar was nothing like I have experienced before--! I felt like I was on an old ship with amazing decor and fun touches such as fog from the bar, bubbles, flickering lights and even a goofy crab that moves along the floor! The staff were great Had a friendly waitress seat us in the bar area. It's such stimulating experience! My friend and I were in awe of the place! I was so enamored with this place. The pirate ship theme charmed the heck out of me. I was thoroughly entertained with the animated decor and theatrical sound effects. Our server was a fabulously lovely woman with a bubbly joy that absolutely made our night. She served me and my husband very well. The list of shots was beyond impressive. Were it a different type of night out...I would have stories to tell. The crab dip stood out to me. The seafood boil was way different from what I am used to but a decent dish under any other name. I would give this place 5 stars for the ambiance alone but unfortunately it's a restaurant so I had to take off 2 stars for the food. If you're looking for a place to get fun drinks and appetizers I would highly recommend it. But if you're looking for a full meal and to fill your belly I wouldn't recommend coming here. Overall this place has a really unique atmosphere and you can tell a lot of work was done to make it look super awesome. We loved our appetizers and drinks but once we got to our meals we were a little disappointed. The Caribbean beef was $28 and was surprisingly a small portion. It tasted like an Asian pepper beef and did not have a jerk flavor what so ever. I would recommend switching this on the menu or changing the name. The ramen was a large portion but tasted like the broth was straight watered down soy sauce. I like the juiciness of the chicken but the broth was not quite what I expected. I'm totally charmed! This is a silly place but with seriously good food. The decor, music and antics are right out of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyworld, and you'd think maybe it would have nothing better than chicken fingers for kids and Bud Light for dads. But that's not the deal at all. We had excellent Maryland Crab soup, a generous-sized salad (with house-made dressing, not bottled goopy garbage), and tender pork short ribs with mashed potatoes and green beans. Topped off with an order of churros for dessert, and we were stuffed and satisfied. We enjoyed the RaR beers on tap, as the restaurant is owned by RaR across the street. All that for under $100, including tip. The service was a little slow because they had one waitress for the entire two rooms, backed up by a single bartender who was spinning left and right to make funky signature drinks. But the staff was super-friendly and didn't act stressed or rushed. And you aren't supposed to be in a rush in this place, as you look at the silly nautical decor, some of which starts to move on the wall or blink, or whatever. (You'll have to see it to understand.) The music is quietly eerie, like ghosts and pirates and sea storms, totally hilarious. Would definitely go back on another visit to the area. read more

Not a great evening--such a disappointment. The decor and vibe seemed fun when we arrived, but things went downhill when we were seated immediately adjacent to the bathroom. As in, the person at the end of our table could have opened the bathroom door without getting up. I'm pretty sure our server was on something--she messed up multiple orders for our table. When our entrees arrived, one was cold; when our friend told the server, she insisted it was supposed to be cold (it was definitely not). This place might be fun to visit for a drink if you just duck in and stay by the bar, but I wouldn't come for dinner again. read more

We loved everything about this place!! The decor was amazing!! Really felt like we were in a century's old ship. Could not believe ALL the details!! A++++ The host that greeted us was also the bartender! Loved all the drink choices though I should have studied before I got there because I couldn't decide between all the tropical cocktails. What went well: cocktails were tiki-licious and high quality. Food was delicious and had great portions. Chef V went above and beyond to help. Not so well: restaurant fudged reservation and mistakenly made it a day early. We were a large group and were surprised when our party arrived that we didn't have a table. The host was not helpful and or eager to find a solution. Took the chef to come from the kitchen and resolve. The resolution meant waiting at the bar, but we spent 30min waiting without being offered to take a drink order. Once we were seated at our table, took an additional 20min to take a drink order. While the food was good, the lack of hospitality from the host/server truly took away from our experience. I'd recommend for smaller reservations and would even suggest going to the bar. The bar staff were stellar. Notable dishes: chicken curry, fries, ramen, and mussels. read more

Came down from Boston to have a nice dinner, and a nice dinner we had! Made a reservation and immediately were seated. Drinks and food were served promptly, even though it was very busy. Super cute place with lots of fun and interactive decorations. Delicious drinks, yummy sharable plates, and fun atmosphere. Great service with so many friendly people. Oh Dive Club, we caught you on a very off night. You were super short handed, only one server and one bartender and both food and drinks took ages. The food was good, wine was good, but why do they list a beer on the menu that apparently they have never had in stock? The 2 positive and cheerful workers were great, but run ragged. Even with an empty bar, and several open tables, there were not enough staff to run the place. I think you could lose the bubble machine too, this isn't a kids restaurant, and it's one more thing that the poor servers had to deal with. Staff up folks, we really wanted to enjoy this date night, but it just wasn't happening. Will try again, and hope for better. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by our experience. The atmosphere is fun and funky but not so weird it is a one and done experience. We loved our food; Choptank Sweet Oysters and Ahi Tuna Bowls. I will definitely come back back to try the mussels. The Greek white wine was delightful. Our servers were on task and efficient but also fun, like the atmosphere, and friendly.
