This place has the worst service. The girl who works at this store doesn't greet people. She just stands there waiting for you to order and tells the total. No "thank you" or anything when taking payment. No niceties at all. No manners at all. This isn't an isolated incident either... I have been here twice when she was working here today 04/01 around 2:45 and a few days before. Whoever does the hiring here, what are your qualifications and training seriously. The jerky is not bad and the price is acceptable but the service is enough to deter me from coming back.

I like the idea that their products ate made fresh. I tried the spicy bacon, which I like. Will come back and try others.

As of 11/2/2020 This one has pork and bacon. Super good!

As of 11/2/2020 I try not to go here often cuz it's pricey; but hard to resist. There were only two selections when I arrived at noon today. I bought both kinds. Jerkies are fresh and nicely cut and packed. The employees are nice and efficient. As I was walking in, there was an employee wiping down the doors and handle. There's plexiglass between the customer and cash register. Sanitizer and napkins (such a bonus) are provided. Another Yelper mentioned a 'disgusting smell?' I've been here 3-4 times and never experienced at the RH store.

I used to drive 1hr out from Irvine to Rosemead just to get fresh jerky from here to take home to my parents. It's a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it especially when it's fresh off the grill and still hot. The classic pork and beef are by far the two best flavors. My only complaint is that for some reason, the store always smells disgusting, but the same at both locations. I don't know what they're using or if this is just a byproduct of cooking, but the smell is pretty nasty as soon as you walk in. You get used to it though in about 5 minutes. That said, don't let the smell divert you away. This jerky is SO damn good.

I come here everytime I go to LA. I come pretty often so I'm not buying 10lbs haha.I love the bacon and my mom likes the original. I usually get 5-6 bags of .25lb or else I'm going to all 1 lb in one setting.

Pepper beef jerky - $25.50/lb sweet and peppery very good!

Very good jerky from SG! I looked the beef more than the pork, but both are excellent!

Their jerky is really tasty and full of flavor. You can sample the flavors before you buy them. Spicy pork is my favorite.

The server name : Karmugilan was requested cash tip and i did left $10 cash tip. After she charged my credit card, she only returned my credit card without any receipt to sign. The next day i saw on my credit card over charged of $10.58 of my total $70.54 after tax, it 15% tip extra they stole without my authorization on top of the $10 cash tip i left on the table. This is robbery. My self is a business owner, i like to support other small business owner, but this one is dishonest. Absolutely don't get my respect. You should be ashamed. Food was ok. The staff is friendly and amazing on recommendations. The food is hot and fresh. Malaysian food is difficult to find and has a distinct bold yet comforting flavors. The char siu had that sweet and salty flavor all throughout each bite. I loved the fried pork bits in the rice & noodles that give extra umami to the dish. The crispy pork belly was in fact very crispy and delicious. The noodle dish was our favorite, we got medium spicy which was perfect for our palettes. It was saucy and had everything you could want. I wish we had discovered it sooner but we'll be returning as much as we can until the end.

My husband originally wanted to order the Char Siu Rice, but unfortunately it wasn't available on Sunday at 3 PM, so he switched to the Nasi Lemak Chicken--and it turned out to be a great choice. Easily 10/10. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the rice was fragrant and flavorful. I ordered the Curry Laksa, which came with tender chicken, fish balls, tofu, vegetables, and boiled egg. The portion was quite generous for a single dish. They also offer two noodle options--egg noodles or rice noodles--and I chose the egg noodles (pictured). While the ingredients and portion were excellent, the broth was not as rich and savory as I expected, especially since laksa broth usually has such a distinctive flavor. I'd still give it an 8/10 overall. One thing I really appreciated was that they offered sambal prawn as a condiment, something not commonly found at other Malaysian restaurants. I also tried the iced Teh Tarik, but it tasted a bit too watered down for my liking, so I probably wouldn't order it again. Service-wise, one staff member seemed a little overwhelmed when we arrived and didn't acknowledge us, so we seated ourselves at an available empty table. They also have a small grocery section where you can purchase authentic Malaysian dry goods. I picked up a Pandan Kaya Toast Jam. The restaurant itself is simple and casual, with no fancy décor--but the food is the main attraction here. Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

There are tons of options, many are variations of Mee Goreng (noodles) or Nasi Goreng (rice). We tried the Indo Style: Mee Goreng with an egg/cucumbers and 2 satay skewers. The chicken and noodles were both a bit dry but delicious flavors, the peanut dipping sauce was to die for. We also had a Thai iced tea which was refreshing and not too sweet, just came with tons of ice. Kept great as leftovers too.

The cashier recommended the Mee Goreng (I think?)/Chicken Satay, so that's what we got. The Mee Goreng was decent, but didn't quite wow me. The noodles were cooked well, but the sauce didn't completely hit the spot flavor-wise. Noodles were also a little less al dente than I prefer, but still held up nicely. It was enjoyable, just not particularly memorable. One thing I'd note is that the mild spice level is very mild. I played it safe and ordered mild, but there was essentially no heat at all. I'd definitely order medium or spicy if I come back to try the other items. The Chicken Satay was solid. The chicken was tender and flavorful, but nothing that really stood out compared to other versions I've had. Good, just not spectacular. Overall, I'd give the meal about a 7/10. The flavors were enjoyable and I'd be interested in coming back to try some of the other dishes, especially with a higher spice level. This felt more like a casual lunch spot than a destination meal. I would consider getting something from here to share if you're with people who want to share things from multiple restaurants at the farmers market.
