I am from PA and couldn't travel in person to MD or DC to meet the crew however I feel that I know them well enough to say great things about them. I spoke to & emailed Joanne & Niv multiple times to get it right. No matter what questions I had they always got back to me quickly. When I asked to match one of the items on his parents stone they said no problem, even it is not a stock item anymore. They are driven to get it done your way and on time. It has been over nine months. I have dozens of relatives that have been wondering about my father's uncompleted memorial since last year. First, FRAM took half the money but then neglected to mention that an attached form in an email had not yet been signed for over three months. In fact, had I not reached out about the progress 6 months ago FRAM still wouldn't have mentioned a thing. Now another six months later (after FRAM received signed form) and still nothing has happened on their end. I have been under the mistaken impression that FRAM actually cared about this project (clearly they couldn't care less). I thought they were supposed to be reaching out to me, NOT the other way around. No one has been able to visit my fathers burial place since he died for lack of an identifying memorial that was supposed to be done in as little as 2 weeks. Now its nine months later. Every time I reach out it is one excuse after another. It is my impression that FRAM is callous and inconsiderate. Nothing but extreme disappointment on my end. I ordered a monument for my mother though the Columbia branch. In terms of the ordering process and the final product, I am satisfied. However, I was not satisfied with the wharehouse people who handled my order. A couple of months ago I was notified that the monument was ready, and that in a few weeks I would be contacted about installation. After more than a few weeks, and no calls, I contacted the folks who work in the Columbia branch only to find out that the monument had been sitting in a wharehouse for weeks. Nobody in the wharehouse thought to reach out to me, or the cemetery or anyone else for that matter. Finally, the scheduled day for installation arrived. I had a 9:30/10:00 appointment at the cemetery for installation. When the installer did not arrive. I called the Columbia branch again, only to find out that the wharehouse would not have an installer at the cemetery until 10:45. Again, I had to make the call, they did not reach out to me, in addition to the wasted hour. In conclusion, very poor service on the part of the Fram wharehouse. read more

My son passed away in April of 2022. I contacted this company in August to place an order for a memorial. Eight months later and no memorial. The anniversary of my son's death has passed. I was told it would be another 6 weeks for my memorial. To make things right they said they would try to place a dedication board at the grave by the anniversary date and refund $250 which never happened. It was heartbreaking not being able to locate my son's grave. What a slap in the face to offer me a refund of $250. My family depended on me and I depended on this company. Never again. read more

My mother passed during a very busy time in the DC area; right after Christmas and just around the President's inauguration. I found Fram Monument Company to be patient, considerate and thorough. Not only did we have to deal with her death but less than 30 days later my father passed as well. We had the gravesite marker for over 3 years now and it is gorgeous! It has held up to the elements including snow, sleet, rain, ice, 90-degree weather and direct sunlight. Not to mention deer, birds and nature critters moving about. The marker has her image and a bronze vase. The vase is still attached and it still easy to wipe clean. Service: It is very difficult to deal with people at their emotional worse and the people at Fram Monument are true professionals, Niv at Fram Monument was excellent. I was in California and planning service in DC (yes, across country) in the winter during inauguration AND with less than grateful family. We know how that goes...the funeral brings out the "best" in some families. I never had to reach out to Niv or anyone at Fram Monument. He stayed in contact with me without being pushy. Always allowing me to direct the conversation and the process. Some people may feel like they have to chase Fram but it is a fine line between contacting you and annoying you during your time of grief. Niv not only worked with me at my worse but also remained very professional and thoughtful. I want to thank him again for being more than just a "salesman". A considerable amount of time was spent with me communicating through email and by phone. During all this time all correspondence remained above professional, considerate and personable. I am more than please to report even after the sale, 2 people from the company sent a card and called to see how I was doing. I received more consideration from them than some "friends". Product: Fram Monument told me exactly how long it would take to get the marker prepared and delivered. It was done within that time frame. When I flew across country to check on it. It was there and it was perfect! I'll try to add a photo to the review so you can see what I mean by exceptional details. After 3 years the marker is as beautiful as it was the first month. Cost: The cost was reasonable for the quality and service I received. Fram Monument never once made me feel as if they were "upselling" me. I was able to take a much time, as I need to make a final decision. Niv reminded me of the deadline to make changes to the selection I made but that was only after I had put in an order to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. There are several options for various budgets. I am very pleased with my selection and the cost. It is still beautiful after years in outside elements. This is a true testiment to the quality of thier product! Finally, without hesitation I can say Fram Monument was a ray of sunshine in a very demanding and emotional timeframe. I had an awful time with family, funeral service providers and others but Fram Monument was fantastic! I strongly encourage you to consider them for your purchase. I have never experienced such Unprofessionalism from any vendor like I did here. My father passed in July and he still doesn't have a memorial (it is now mid March). The owner, Niv, is so unorganized, never available, and there is no truth to his word. We paid $300 for a rush order on top of the outrageous amount we already paid and almost nine months later, there is still mud at my dad's grave. His filing system is just keeping emails. He keeps zero records of our conversations and asks. It's not even like we had that complicated of an order. We had a half ledger granite with a bronze memorial. That's it. We paid for a double decker so when my mother passes, she could be buried with my dad. After 8 months, He did not leave enough room on the granite for her bronze memorial, even though I emailed him and said "from the looks of it in the photo you sent me, I don't think there is enough room for the second bronze without it covering the border". He assured me that there would be room via email again. Sure enough when the granite arrived at the cemetery, THERE WASN'T ENOUGH ROOM. The guys at the cemetery were laughing and saying how it "looked like shit". He didn't even center the bronze with the stone! There was an extra inch on the right side. This is already a horrific time for the families and to have this level of unprofessionalism is just outrageous. On top of all this he has the audacity to not answer my calls or get back to me. Furthermore; he texts the funeral director and says "go ahead and install I will get them another stone when mom passes". Who is he to make that decision??? Without talking to us. My mother is young so we are talking about 40-50 years and this guy just expects me to take his word LOLLLL. I highly doubt he will still be in business in 40 years. Apparently I am not the first person to be treated like this. He is running multiple stores without any help other than a secretary that does nothing other than take messages for him which don't even result in a response. I am emotionally shook and scarred. DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS if you care about your loved ones that have passed. It's a scam!! Wish we could give negative stars on yelp. read more

He exhibited patience and understanding during the shopping process. After the passing of my father, we knew we wanted to get a stone in time for the one year anniversary of his passing. Due to some unforseeable delays we needed to obtain the monument in a very short time. I started searching the internet and clicked on a link at Fram Monument to learn more. Imagine my surprise when within minutes, my phone rang and I was already being contacted by Niv F. at the company regarding my request. We set up an appointment (even rescheduling it once with Niv). When we met with Niv, we discussed our needs in detail. He understood not only our religious traditions but also helped guide us through the complex process, understanding our compressed timeline and never upselling or pushing us. He understood the aspects of working with the local cemetery and offered to act as the liaison with the cemetery. Niv emailed and called regularly with updates and clarifications, keeping us in the loop the entire time. In addition, the placing and engraving of the stone ended up needing to happen during a period of HORRIBLE weather - snow, rain and freezing temperatures. Death is a grim business but Niv F. and Fram monument came through with flying colors! The stone was ready at the required time and was even more elegant and magnificent than we expected. Please do NOT be fooled by all Fram's positive reviews. You may be one of the unlucky ones that get so horrifically mistreated and continually lied to like my family was. Niv Fishbein is the most unprofessional vendor I have ever dealt with. His carelessness resulted in my son's headstone being ripped out of the cemetery within 24 hours of its installation. He blamed it on our design, yet the contract we signed with Fram said all etchings had to be preapproved by the cemetery and Fram neglected to do this. Niv continually blamed everyone but himself. At one point he even grief-shamed me which is hideous. He made several promises (in writing) of three different reinstallation dates and he completed none of them. Not once did this company reach out to me -- I had to continually reach out to them. Losing my son is the absolute worst thing that has ever happened to me. Niv and his employee Melissa caused me so much anguish on top of my already agonizing grief. I'm begging you to not use this company. Even if there are 100 positive reviews, do you really want to risk being one of the customers who will endure the unprofessionalism of this company while you are grieving your loved one? My family really appreciate Niv's extra help and service to our recent burial plot location issue. The cemetery officer was able to make the change needed to satisfy with the specific burial site of what had been purchased. But Fram Monument Co had to put up the extra ground work to rebuild the proper location of the foundation of the tombstone. Working with Niv Fishbein at Fram Monument Company made the process of selecting headstones for our parents actually a very positive experience. We are 3 siblings each with very different ideas of what we thought we wanted. Niv listened to us and came up with 2 headstones that we are very pleased with. One thing we all wanted was a picture of the Voyager Satellite that was our dad's life's work. Niv was able to take a picture we had and transfer it onto the headstone. We were at a loss for what to put on our mother's headstone, but after listening to us talk about her, he came up with the artist's palate. He sent us several drawings to review and it wasn't long before he had the finished headstones. The installation went smoothly. The headstone we chose for my mom was to replace an existing one. About 20 years ago I placed one of my horse's shoes on her gravestone and it's been there ever since. I was so touched to see the horseshoe on her new headstone. Losing a loved one is hard, and the grief intense. In the midst of your sorrow somehow you must make decisions & plans for their final arrangements. Not easy... For me, especially difficult after losing my dear Mom, Rose Marie. The load can be lightened with the support and help of family, friends, and loved ones... Even the businesses that provide the needed services can be a great comfort and support. That was the case with the businesses that came along side us... From the 2 funeral homes, transport services, churches, cemetery, ministers to caterers, they were wonderful... With one exception: Fram Monument Company, and more specifically Niv Fishbein. To be as fair as possible, I waited to write this review to give him a chance to keep his promise to me... He was contracted and paid Feb 7th, 2017 and it is now May 3rd, 2018 and things are still not completed as agreed upon! That's a year and 3 months later. I guess he thought I would just go away, and actually in a way I would have just not reviewed him at all, despite his many screwups, if he had started keeping his word! Since to this date he has not, here goes: He was paid to engrave Mom's name on the Family monument and also create a personal marker for over her resting place. This was to take "a couple of months", which would be sometime in April 2017. Because he had provided the same services, in the same cemetery, for my Aunt, I had no 2nd thoughts about trusting him. In August I planned a trip to Mom's graveside. I would fly in from California to Connecticut, pick up my 88 year old Father and other family to drive to Maryland in a rental Van. Hotel rooms were booked, tickets paid for. After arriving on that East Coast we received a request to RESIGN paperwork to go into the cemetery and do the contacted work: 6 months later- 4 months more than promised! His reason: The cemetery was making it difficult to get it done. He used that excuse many, many times... Never taking any responsibility for his complete lack of communication. I contacted him telling him about the trip.. He assured me he would get it done in time, yet when we arrived it was not. After arriving in DC I told him we were leaving to drive back on Tues, and he said he had finally gotten permission from the cemetery to do the insulation and engraving: HE PROMISED TO HAVE IT DONE BY MONDAY, THE DAY BEFORE OUR RETURN TO CONNECTICUT. Not only was it not done, but he didn't call to tell us it wasn't done and we were leaving to drive to the Cemetery! Before we walked out I called and got his assistant Joanne who informed me the work hadn't been done... She gave a genuine apology, the only sincere one we have received thus far. Niv only gives excuses. On September 8th, 2017 I got a picture of the monument engraving, But because of his track record I requested a picture of the marker as well. On Oct 20th, 2017 by email, he promised to get me a picture of the marker, yet nothing. Again I reminded him of his promise, and on March 15, 2018 he once again committed to giving it to me. Still nothing! The work that is completed is quite good... But is that really enough? To be treated so carelessly oduring a time of great grief is not only insensitive, but ultimately disrespectful. Why even put yourself through that when there are other choices? I am currently back on the East Coast planning another drive down to Mom's resting-place. Maybe he did to work maybe he did not. It's a true guessing game, and so unnecessary for him to put our family through this added stress as we heal from our loss. Niv, you can continue to say "THE CEMETERY MADE ME DO IT" but they certainly played no role in your poor communicating, your not keeping your word, and your overall lack of integrity. A little personal responsibility and humility would go a long way for you. I gave you one extra star because of Joanne as well as the gesture you made in refunding the engraving charge. read more

SUPER SLOW service. It took forever to get the marker installed. Fram wouldn't make any initiatives first--i always had to contact them first for follow-ups. Every time I called/wrote emails to follow up, they said they would get back to me in 2-3 weeks, which they never did, and I had to contact them AGAIN. SO ANNOYING. Very inefficient and difficult to get things done with. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. You'd be better off with other service providers, even if they charge more. read more

I thought we were the only one who had a negative experience with Niv Fishbein. This is quite strange to have either five stars or 1-2 stars for the same person with opposite descriptions of his service. Unfortunately, we got into the second category. My Mom's gravestone was ordered last August with the whole design agreed upon after several e-mail exchanges and the promise to have it done in 2 months. We were told that the stone itself will be ready in October, and we agreed in the beginning of October on engraving. The picture was sent, and we went for a trip. After we returned back home on October 23, I asked about engraving and when the stone will be installed only to find out that the stone itself is not ready yet. It was confusing. The stone was ready in the middle of November. I got a picture of the engraving in December - and it was all wrong, because it was an original engraving that was supposed to be corrected. Of course, it wasn't Niv's mistake, as he told us - it was "those guys" mistake. Anyway, the stone had to be redone with the new engraving - and it took for some reason another three months. I do not say that Niv is not a nice person, however it looks like he really does not care much of the work he is doing, or he is poorly organized. I would not rely on his service. read more

Very UNPROFESSIONAL My family went to these people for a flat stone for my grandmother on 12-20-16. Appointment was set. Day of appointment my family and I got there and no one showed up. Called office spoke to the Guy NIV, and assured me the driver was having problems on the way. Long story short they never showed up had to wait weeks later to place head stone down and my grandmother remains. VERY UNPREFESSIONAL WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE read more
