If you call them to ask about plastic frame repair, they're gonna say whatever they can to get you in the door. (Yeah we repair plastic frames, bring them in so we can take a look) Then as soon as you walk in the door they just try to tell you they can reshape tour existing lenses and try to sell you new frames. When I asked about the phone call the woman up front told me "Yeah you talked to me, you kept asking questions like you were going to get a different answer." To which I replied...."I talked to a guy." After that she said "silly me" and gave me a little slap on the hand like everything was going to be okay. I said "whatever" and walked out. I've been there a couple of times and had wire frames repaired in the past. But if you know your just going to try to sell me new frames. Just tell me that over the phone so I can figure out what to do on my end. I will try not to recommend this place ever again. read more

I have a pair of Alaine Mikli frames that I picked up on clearance at Ilori about a year ago. It was an impulse buy because I love these frames (they're red and black). The downside of clearance items is that they're probably out of production--that's why they're on clearance. As I would also find out, designer brands don't seem to actually care about being repaired at all and it's hard to find parts for them if you can. Great. So, when I woke up a few weeks ago and went to put on buy glasses only to find that the left hinge just fell apart, I was pretty annoyed. Like a lot of people I'm very picky about glasses and finding new frames is a pain in the first place, but these particular frames are my favorite of all time. I called my optometrist and her office recommended Frame Fixer and a few days later, I brought my frames in. Upon first inspection they told me the bad news: this brand doesn't sell standalone parts and they couldn't be fixed perfectly. The good news, however, is that they could repair the glasses and that I'd simply lose the "spring" in the hinge. (They also told me there would be no charge if they couldn't do it.) It was worth a try. I got the glasses back today and the lack of spring isn't even really something I notice when wearing them. They work well enough. I'm impressed they were able to work around such a tiny, delicate part. The service was very good. My glasses were fixed. (It cost around $80, which was a fair price to me.) What else can I say? The other option was grabbing these off eBay or some other site still selling what few are left and... not really high on dropping close to $500 on replacement frames. read more

This place is awesome! I had issues with the arms of my glasses because my dog had chewed off the rubber ends that cuff to your ear... I really thought I'd have to purchase new glasses or it was not repairable at all but that's not a problem because Brittany Harris, who took care of me and was very nice & outgoing as soon as I walked in the door.
