The best part of my job is I'm on the road a lot. So when I see an opportunity to check out a new restaurant, I take advantage. "Francesco's Pizzeria & Restaurant" seemed like a perfect choice. I pulled up at the small parking lot and was a little surprised, why would you not have the name of the restaurant on top of the building. It was displayed on the glass, I figured they wanted to stand out. The look of the façade definitely gave it the right attention. Heading inside the place was well kept. You see they are about presentation. I loved the modern look. Heading to the counter, you see they were about a good time. Two gentlemen in the back help right away, but not before we joked about something on the television. After the laughter, I placed my order. It got tossed in and came out hot. I grabbed a seat and looked over my meal. It looked pretty standard as pizza goes. The cheesy bread was my favorite. It tasted great and they gave me a sauce to dip them in. The pizza, while good, wasn't great. Let me start by saying, the chicken on top was delicious! I give credit, where credit is due, however, the crust was a bit stale. Maybe I got yesterday's slice, but that how it was. It had great flavor and I would have truly loved it, if not for that hiccup. Just came back from lunch with my mom. 4 solid stars. We were not greeted when we entered, but the food made up for that. I had the bbq chicken slice. It was delish! The bbq sauce wasn't overpowering at all. It was a hearty and filling slice of pizza. My mom ordered the margarita slice. No complaints from her at all. We shared baked clams and garlic knots. Baked clams were delicious!!! They were whole, not chopped. Flavors were right on point. And the sauce??? Had to dip bread in. If you don't dip your bread, you're not doing it right. The garlic knots were good also. You can order them in increments of 3, 6, or 12. I also ordered tortellini soup! It was served super hot and it was very good! Definitely warmed me up on this cold Sunday afternoon. So yummy! I would return to order some dinner! I have a very full and happy belly. read more

To start off very rude customer service, to add on me and my brother both got sick from eating this. The taste was awful. The grandma slice tasted like cardboard my stomach was going bananas the entire night. My brother ordered the pasta with sausage making him uncontrollably use the bathroom while also feeling run down with a fever. Have to say, i'm pretty surprised at how good the pizza was! We got the vodka pie and wow, so impressed. Flavor was there, crust wasn't doughy and there wasn't too much dough which normally overpowers the pizza. Very happy with our pizza and all for $20. First of all let me say I rarely post a review. I don't post positive ones because I'm a foodie who has been in the restaurant business for over 20 years. I'm not easily impressed. I don't post negative ones because I don't believe in trying to hurt someone's livelihood when they may just be having an off day. If you go somewhere and the food sucks, just don't go back. It's that easy. Why publicly shame them? I'm embarrassed for people who enjoy doing that. Shame on you. With that said, I stopped at this place on a whim. Hadn't had lunch yet and figured "ok pizza, I could go for a slice".. I walk in and the place is beautiful. Spotless. It's smelled like garlic and fresh basil. The guy at the counter greeted me with a huge smile. He even offered me a piece of the pie that he just took out of the oven. Everything looked amazing, it was really hard for me to decide what I wanted. I chose a Crispino slice which is my favorite. Not many places make the Crispino, let alone make it good. This was the best Crispino slice I've ever had.!!!!! The crust was perfect. Crispy yet slightly chewy. Just the right consistency. The toppings were fresh and delicious. Perfection. It had just the right amount of salt, fresh basil and garlic. It was fantastic! I can't wait to try more of their food. Even though I live about a half hour away. I definitely plan to go back. I legitimately don't understand the reviews. I'm glad the place is doing well and personally waited to post a review, despite being there on opening day, since I didn't want to be the one to materially hurt the traffic with a bad review. It's clean and nice, service is fine/mixed based on the few times I've been here, the food has no flavor and is in my opinion the worst in the area for a pizza place. Their worst item is the stuffed garlic knots. Please do yourselves a favor and taste them. They're not good. Salt would help. Also serving them hot instead of room temp. I definitely won't be back to confirm if you've done so though. read more

I was very excited to order pizza from here because the photos looked great and the reviews were all very promising. However, I was pretty disappointed that it took about an hour and a half from the time I ordered the pizza to when I got home. When I first tried to order, the phone was busy, so I decided to order online, and it was about a 45 minute wait. I ordered anyway because I figured it would be worth it, but then I ended up waiting another 20 minutes when I got there. Normally I don't mind waiting, it just felt like a very long total time to wait for one pizza, considering the pizza I ordered was the Crispina, which was basically just focaccia with fresh mozzarella and sliced tomatoes on top. Well when my husband arrived he was told they said to pick up at 6:15. Umm no, they didnt say that. An hr n half if you order at 4:40? -what if you order at 6-is it 8:00pm/ 8:30?? If they told me I would have said thanks but no thanks.....its 6:10 now and I still cant tell you if the food is any good because its not here yet- husband still waiting. Zero stars. 2 thumbs down. Ordered cheese bread and franchise slice. Bread had no cheese and ask for 1 with cheese. While in restroom owner talked badly about me the whole time. While serving replaced commented I should not have bitten into slice I had in my hands as he could have given it to others. Note I was in restroom to wash my hands. I said he could have put cheese on slice before or after to make customer happy. My co worker enter store after and he started argument over tipping. He then proceeded to say since it was our first time and we don't frequent the place we were nobodies to him. In addition he told us to leave or he would have police remove us. Okay omg absolutely love this place ! I don't live in Long Island but my grandmother lives about 1 mile away from the pizzeria and whenever I go visit we always do take out or delivery from Francesco's. Their our go to that never disappoints, we can do a large pie and garlic knots (the sauce they use is to die for !) or we do pastas and salad when we have a larger group. My personal favorite is penne ala vodka with grilled chicken and/or penne marina and a classic Cesar salad. Amazing! Always so good! Pasta comes just the right texture "al dente" because lord knows I hate the soggy kinds I have had in other places. Their always a reasonable time with the deliveries and always gives us everything perfectly. Only negative is I wish I lived closer lol I would be ordering way more! Relatively new to Plainview this restaurant has been getting rave reviews by the locals. That is a good indicator since there are about 30 restaurants in Plainview/Old Bethpage and everyone eats out since their ovens either have matching tile to the floor or are carpeted. Ordered online for delivery which was a very easy process. Spaghetti and meatballs, baked clams, 10 inch pizza and a side order of more meatballs. They even give you an estimate of when the food will be delivered. Mine said my order will arrive around 7:13 PM. I was laughing to myself they must be joking how accurate could that be? The food was on my doorstep at 7:15 PM. One problem. They left out the Spaghetti and Meatballs. Charged but not delivered. Now in a busy place under pressure of orders mistakes are made. The key to a great restaurant is how they are fixed. I called immediately and was told they will deliver the missing dish ASAP. Sat down, had the clams, started on a slice of Pizza doorbell rings and food was there. Maybe 10 minutes from my call to them. Outstanding, that is how you run a restaurant.
