We've been going to Francis on and off for years now, usually on our way to church. They're a wonderful family-owned donut shop with a good variety of donuts and sandwiches (so delicious)! They also have coffee, cup noodles and other snacks, but we come here mostly for donuts and sandwiches! Casual environment with a few tables where you can sit and eat. For a quiet area of town, there is plenty of parking in front of the store. There's a few chairs to sit and dine, but overall it's more of a grab and go spot. This is such a cute, small, mom and pop donut shop. I love how it seems like just your classic donut shop, nothing extra. There were only 2 people there and they were so kind and helpful! OK donuts, in a sleepy Fremont strip mall. Came with my son after exploring early morning one day and seemed like lots of traffic and cars in this plaza for 7:30 am so we pulled in to check it out. The old fashioned, donut holes, and chocolate with sprinkles my family enjoyed. A step up from Dunkin or Winchells, we enjoyed our donuts with our morning coffee and used the sprinkles as a reward for the kids. They have a very large selection of breakfast bagels and croissants, we did not know they used mayonnaise on these breakfast savory bites by default. I've never seen other places add this and it wasn't in the pictures or listed as part of the sandwiches. I think it would have tasted fine without it but unfortunately it was oversaturated in Mayo and really rich and heavy on a nice sandwich that didn't need it. read more

We used to get donuts and danishes from here before school started or early morning on Saturdays when I was a kid. The owners have always been kind and friendly and everything here is so fresh. I tried Francis donuts skeptical.. of donut shops in general in Fremont.. due to a recommendation of a close friend.. embarrassingly to say.. I am a true connoisseur of donuts I know what I'm talking about when it comes to dough and sugar - and you can also see the proof in my belly.. With that said.. I was extremely impressed with the bagel bread.. and my chocolate donut.. I honestly don't know how they do it.. but it taste and appears fresh.. 4 out 5 donut stores in fremont have no where near the same quality of this place..in fact you would think they out source it.. but this place.. it appears not the case My son who is not a fan of breakfast sandwiches.. liked the bagel breakfast sandwich.. so that in itself says something.. Came here because I was really craving a ham, cheese and egg croissant and for as long as I lived in Fremont, I never knew this place existed. I'm glad I tried it. The people here are very friendly and they were very patient. Everything here is also very reasonably priced, maybe a little too cheap for their excellent quality. Their croissant sandwiches were off the hook! And their doughnut holes are so good! Now that I know about this place, this will be my go-to place for quick breakfast sandwiches. Every once in awhile, I crave a big, puffy old fashioned donut instead of the ones that they sell at Krispy Kreme. Francis Donuts has just that. Usually go on Saturday mornings and they move really quickly even if there is a line. We like the donuts, decently priced and really meant as an old fashion donut shop. If you are looking for super creative (designer) donuts, this is not the pace. If you want some good old fashion donuts, bear claws, croissants, then this is the place. I love that this is a family owned business and you actually see the whole family there pitching in. It offers you more hospitality and a welcoming environment. I sometimes work Saturdays at my job and, when I do, I often bring donuts for our 'weekend crew'. I used to do Krispy Kreme (cause of the more convenient location and I sometimes have a coupon) but I truly am more of a fan of the Old fashioned donuts. Horrible customer service my husband ordered three sandwiches and a few donuts when taking him to work he noticed the sandwich was completely wrong I had to come back and get the sandwich take it to them when he said he called for it to be ready they still did not even start it I got there they argued with me about which number he told him it was a number 34 they heard him say a number four and then they told us we were wrong and instead of putting customer service first and they still charged me an additional three dollars for the sandwich even though they did not hear him correctly the sandwich he wanted had ham cheese and eggs the one they gave him was cream cheese and raspberry which he doesn't eat either they really just lost a customer as we've been here previously multiple times ordering the same thing their sandwiches are great but their customer service sucks read more

Paid $15 for a dozen donuts. Is this place for reals. I asked the owner to give me a dozen for $11.25 as it's printed on the menu. Although the gentle man didn't tell me how certain donuts weren't included in a dozen that was not professional of him. When he totaled me I end up paying $15 for some donuts. His response was they charge double for bigger donuts, that's fine but he should've communicated with the customers in a better way rather than just filling their cash register. read more

Super friendly folks. This shop is the closest to my house so whenever I need to bring in donuts for a breakfast meeting, I come here. They're pretty quick and the selection is decent. I cannot rave on this place enough! The owners are so friendly and personable. If you go there often enough they will remember you and remember your order... they'll also joke with you and make your time fun in their shop. I LOVE their glazed twists. They are a wonderful yeast taste with a wonderful fluffiness to them. Definitely not an oily donut, which is so great. I also order their frozen coffee drinks often. They are the usual donut shop 'Big Train' brand... but they use an instant coffee that gives it great flavor... I know you're probably thinking "ew! instant coffee!" But it's really just so good.
