Great mom&pop shop for local donuts. I had a quick breakfast of an original glaze and 2 holes for $3 including tax and their 50 cent credit charge. Their donut is fluffy and not too sweet. For a quiet area of town, there is plenty of parking in front of the store. There's a few chairs to sit and dine, but overall it's more of a grab and go spot. It's a block away from Fremont DMV, perhaps grab a quick breakfast while you wait in line! read more

One of my favorite donut shops. Nice classic old school style donut shop. Lots of different flavor donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and drinks to choose from. This is such a cute, small, mom and pop donut shop. I love how it seems like just your classic donut shop, nothing extra. There were only 2 people there and they were so kind and helpful! Lots of your classic donut options as well as a good amount of drink options! Got a dozen for $20 and the donuts tasted fresh and they were nice and fluffy. Will definitely be back! read more

OK donuts, in a sleepy Fremont strip mall. Came with my son after exploring early morning one day and seemed like lots of traffic and cars in this plaza for 7:30 am so we pulled in to check it out. The old fashioned, donut holes, and chocolate with sprinkles my family enjoyed. A step up from Dunkin or Winchells, we enjoyed our donuts with our morning coffee and used the sprinkles as a reward for the kids. They have a very large selection of breakfast bagels and croissants, we did not know they used mayonnaise on these breakfast savory bites by default. I've never seen other places add this and it wasn't in the pictures or listed as part of the sandwiches. I think it would have tasted fine without it but unfortunately it was oversaturated in Mayo and really rich and heavy on a nice sandwich that didn't need it. read more

This place has the best donuts ever! They're not overly sweet and the flavor is great, doesn't matter which donut you get because they're all good! The service is amazing and the owners are very sweet. My favorite donuts are the glazed, jelly filled and apple fritter ones. read more

This is one of my favorite donuts shops. This small donut shop has been around for a long time. We used to get donuts and danishes from here before school started or early morning on Saturdays when I was a kid. The owners have always been kind and friendly and everything here is so fresh. I tried Francis donuts skeptical.. of donut shops in general in Fremont.. due to a recommendation of a close friend.. embarrassingly to say.. I am a true connoisseur of donuts I know what I'm talking about when it comes to dough and sugar - and you can also see the proof in my belly.. With that said.. I was extremely impressed with the bagel bread.. and my chocolate donut.. I honestly don't know how they do it.. but it taste and appears fresh.. 4 out 5 donut stores in fremont have no where near the same quality of this place..in fact you would think they out source it.. but this place.. it appears not the case My son who is not a fan of breakfast sandwiches.. liked the bagel breakfast sandwich.. so that in itself says something.. I can't speak to the customer service.. .. since I was the only customer and it was early in the morning.. however with that said this is a small mom pop establishment.. so don't expect white glove service May their business have more success and prosper, it's just another rare hidden gem in fremont read more

Came here because I was really craving a ham, cheese and egg croissant and for as long as I lived in Fremont, I never knew this place existed. I'm glad I tried it. The people here are very friendly and they were very patient. Everything here is also very reasonably priced, maybe a little too cheap for their excellent quality. Their croissant sandwiches were off the hook! And their doughnut holes are so good! Now that I know about this place, this will be my go-to place for quick breakfast sandwiches. Francis Donuts is a lovely mom n pop donut shop where they have their regulars and new faces (like me). Every once in awhile, I crave a big, puffy old fashioned donut instead of the ones that they sell at Krispy Kreme. Francis Donuts has just that. I like to keep it simple, so I ordered a chocolate and a maple donut, which were both divine and hit the spot. The gentleman behind the counter recommended the filled bars, which I will definitely have to try next time. Usually go on Saturday mornings and they move really quickly even if there is a line. We like the donuts, decently priced and really meant as an old fashion donut shop. If you are looking for super creative (designer) donuts, this is not the pace. If you want some good old fashion donuts, bear claws, croissants, then this is the place. They have other stuff like sandwiches and drinks, but I only come for the donuts :) read more

I love that this is a family owned business and you actually see the whole family there pitching in. It offers you more hospitality and a welcoming environment. I've been here twice already and have noticed the same 'regulars' who hang out there and chit chat with the owners. It's cute! It tells you that the owners really are very friendly & that they're a part of the community. The donuts are great and fairly priced. I sometimes work Saturdays at my job and, when I do, I often bring donuts for our 'weekend crew'. I used to do Krispy Kreme (cause of the more convenient location and I sometimes have a coupon) but I truly am more of a fan of the Old fashioned donuts. I think I've found a place that I prefer more than Krispy Kreme. HERE! read more

Horrible customer service my husband ordered three sandwiches and a few donuts when taking him to work he noticed the sandwich was completely wrong I had to come back and get the sandwich take it to them when he said he called for it to be ready they still did not even start it I got there they argued with me about which number he told him it was a number 34 they heard him say a number four and then they told us we were wrong and instead of putting customer service first and they still charged me an additional three dollars for the sandwich even though they did not hear him correctly the sandwich he wanted had ham cheese and eggs the one they gave him was cream cheese and raspberry which he doesn't eat either they really just lost a customer as we've been here previously multiple times ordering the same thing their sandwiches are great but their customer service sucks read more

Paid $15 for a dozen donuts. Is this place for reals. I asked the owner to give me a dozen for $11.25 as it's printed on the menu. Although the gentle man didn't tell me how certain donuts weren't included in a dozen that was not professional of him. When he totaled me I end up paying $15 for some donuts. His response was they charge double for bigger donuts, that's fine but he should've communicated with the customers in a better way rather than just filling their cash register. read more

I discovered them in 2015, when I was pregnant with my 3rd son and my 2nd son was attending Montessori around the corner and it has been my go-to donut place ever since. Best donuts in the area, IMHO. Great people, simple, and absolutely how good donuts should taste. 10/10 recommend. read more

Super friendly folks. This shop is the closest to my house so whenever I need to bring in donuts for a breakfast meeting, I come here. They're pretty quick and the selection is decent. I cannot rave on this place enough! The owners are so friendly and personable. If you go there often enough they will remember you and remember your order... they'll also joke with you and make your time fun in their shop. I LOVE their glazed twists. They are a wonderful yeast taste with a wonderful fluffiness to them. Definitely not an oily donut, which is so great. I also order their frozen coffee drinks often. They are the usual donut shop 'Big Train' brand... but they use an instant coffee that gives it great flavor... I know you're probably thinking "ew! instant coffee!" But it's really just so good. So check them out! Get you some donuts! And really enjoy! read more

I came in for an assortment of filled donuts, a bagel sandwich, and an iced coffee. I got one of each flavor of filling in the donuts there are four flavors, but the real stand out for me was the lemon. The bagel sandwich wasn't my favorite because the texture of the bagel was oddly soft to me, and while they have many combinations of breakfast foods to go into the sandwiches I found my bacon, egg, and cheese to just be fairly bland. As for the iced coffee, there was a small mix up where one of the owners thought I had asked for a regular coffee and so we had to make a second transaction. It is instant coffee and I was not a particular fan. Overall though, I found it clean, homey and familiar and pleasant to be in. It's not going to blow your socks off for anything other than maybe if you want to get a dozen donuts because that's where they shine! Everything is reasonably priced and they DO take card they just have a small fee if it's under (I think) $15 read more

The woman there is rude. No personality. Mixed box of donuts were $9.25 and she kept Putting donuts in my box knowing that they cost more and didn't bother to say anything then points at a picture like new customers are going to look at a picture vs. a sign that has the prices listed on them. Plus you, as the owner could simply say it cost more. I didn't like how she and the guy both saw me in line and took customers over me because they had less to purchase. What??? They tried it a second time taking a customer over me and I said something. Very rude and no customer service. Disappointing as this is my neighborhood donut store. The donuts are small too. Do not go there. read more

Chocolate cream is the best. The drink menu is great there is a lot of good options. I definitely think their drinks are better than Starbucks. Prices are average. Inside is spacious and clean with some seating. Overall this is a good donut shop

Surprisingly, the line was not long even for walk in orders on a Saturday afternoon. We got the mini deluxe box, pandan croissant egg tart, guava butter pineapple bun. You have to eat these fresh! We ate the guava butter and the bread was so soft and warm, with a crunchy exterior. Guava butter had a good flavor and paired well with the bun. Their buns were all pretty good. The pandan croissant egg tart lacked pandan flavor but I did like the croissant base. Will definitely be back!

My daughter was so proud of her recent report card (all As), so when we were driving by a Krispy Kreme, she remembered she had read about this promo after I mentioned how I was craving a donut. Thing is, when we brought this up to the cashier at the counter in Fremont, he informed us this was a Summer promotion only, but he'd let us do it just this once. So he looked at my daughter's report card, let out an audible gasp when he saw it was more donuts than he probably planned to give out, and said: "There is a maximum to the promotion." My daughter read the max is 6, but the man gave us 5. We didn't argue it because free is free! We were super grateful, thanked him, tipped, and 10 seconds later, there were no more donuts! The only reason I took off one star is because parking wasn't easy to find, and the store was particularly smaller than other Krispy Kreme's I've been to, so there weren't places to sit and eat there.
