Food is just O.k. for a pizza place. Nothing special. Couldn't believe "the workers are nice" comment-- Not at all! I only went in to order once- that was enough. I only order over the phone as well, & that's when it's more convenient than ordering from other friendlier places with better pizza. There is a little area in the front that people would be able to sit & eat - you know people like me- taking my kids out for a walk & grabbing a slice along the way-- Only they don't provide chairs! Weird, I know. There was a large stack of chairs in the corner with a sign "Do not use" just sitting there. I asked the "sweet" *cough, cough* big sweaty guy if I could use them at the large unused table - he said- in a most "lovely manner" "No- chairs are only for outside". WHAT??!! There is a very narrow walkway outside which was crowded with teens yet a large empty table inside with no chairs. Hmmm? Guess they dislike people that much?? Ended up making it take-out & carrying the burning hot pie home. Had I not had 4 very young, very hungry children with me I would have said forget it & ordered the good pizza from the nice place up Red Lion (@ Sandmeyer- not to mention names!!;) Won't be giving these people much business in the future. read more

I completely understand that we are in a pandemic, but I've been coming to this place for about three years now occasionally. Every single time I come here the counter girls have no clue what is going on with the orders. Also I called ahead usually a half hour before I get there that once have I not had to wait for my food. They continually get it wrong and truthfully the food is mediocre at best but it's convenient to where I live. I think this is it I am done with this place altogether! read more

I ordered 2 pizzas, both with pepperoni. I went and picked them up and grabbed (2) 2 liter bottles of Coke products. Bill came to $37 and change. Well there was a sign hanging - (2) plain pizzas and (1) two liter bottle of Coke $22.99 I asked how much the pepperoni were extra- $2.50 each; thats $5 more and I got one more (2) liter. I asked the young girl- she said that's a special. Really? What a moron. Well we are working in the area and would have gone back. Now we will not. For quick pizza, wings, and cheesesteaks in a strip mall, this place is pretty good. I live close by and am often conflicted between here and Ricardo's. I will admit that Franconi's has better wings and is cheaper when it comes to pizza. They also do slices which Ricardo's doesn't do. I usually only go here when i'm in a hurry and need a quick bite, but it always gets the job done and i'm satisfied after! read more

The food is ok in a crunch. Not very consistent, one day the food is awesome the next I vow to never go back. I have ordered 3 cheese steaks from here and the first 2 were pretty good. The last one I ordered was the absolute nastiest one I have ever had this side of the Mississippi. It was full of fat and gristle through the whole thing. It was the equivalent to eating a raw squid. I took 2 bites and tossed the rest out, what a let down. Will probably never order another one again from here. I also have to disagree with the one that says the workers are nice... that is not true at all, in fact I prefer to order over the phone so I do not have to deal with them in person. I recently had the sausage pizza and it was very good! It's probably the best pizza crust I've ever had! I've tried a few different wrap sandwiches. I'd recommend them all, especially the cheesesteak wrap! Th side orders were all your typical sides. Nothing special but still very good! read more

this has been my favorite pizza place for like 10 years, we ordered from them at least 2x a week and it was always good and our order was always right. ever since they apparently sold and changed their name to huntingdon valley pizza they have gotten almost EVERY single one of our orders wrong. i literally ordered on slice today, a sicilian pizza and they brought a round pizza. they made a BLT on one decker with no mayo on untoasted bread. a bunch of things like this. its really ashame after all these years read more

First let me state the good things, the food is great, the service is speedy, and the quality is good, almost anything on the menu will satisfy what you're looking for, if you're into spicy foods the Buffalo chicken cheese steak is a must try, the pizza varies, sometimes it is great and other times it is not so great, personally I don't mind, if you're just looking for a place to buy on a Friday night, Franconis is for you. The things that need to be improved upon are the fact that the food is very very greasy and the inside of the store is somewhat trashy, it is just a pickup and deliver type of place, no where to really sit down and eat; therefore, giving them 3 stars. read more

Horrible cook. The worst cheese steak ever. They need to hire someone with experience. The pizza is terrible. You are better off starving.

The mozzarella sticks were dried out and seemed previously frozen. The large meat Stromboli was cold inside and the meats especially the sausage were inferior ingredients. If if were to go back it would be for the pizza only. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but this one was bad, so without being too much of a dick, let me just explain what happened. I ordered a thin crust sausage and peppers pizza for pick up. I came into the store, and was told it would be 10 more minutes. 45 minutes later, I got my pizza, and I could tell as soon as they took it out of the oven that they had rushed it and I was going to be displeased. By the way, it was a Friday night, so I get the delay, but you gotta get it right. The pizza was dripping in oil (I don't usually do the paper towel dab, but this time I had to), there was only a handful of sausage (the minced kind Pizza Hut uses, not like actually slices), the green peppers were massive (not diced) so they totally overwhelmed you, and the thin crust was not that thin and not at all crispy. Oh, and there were no onions. When I went online to check their menu to verify that there were supposed to be onions on this pizza, I also realized I was overcharged by $2 (again, not a big deal, but in the totality of the circumstances, another strike). All in all, a bad experience. Maybe they were just having an off night, but, in an area were local pizza shops are everywhere and highly competitive, I will probably look elsewhere next time. Never have I ever felt so disrespected at a restaurant before. I like the food at a good price, but now I understand why it's so cheap is because the waitressing staff is awful and completely unprofessional. Despite this I have always been nice saying thank you and smiling to the staff only to be treated nasty. Upon walking in the past three times I had these two waitresses roll their eyes at me. Not busy at all being the only one in the restaurant these times or one of the only people there. My orders took a very long time to arrive. Which is fine I'm dining in, I'm not in a rush. I've always tipped generously except for my most recent experience where my waitress did not return back to my table and put the check down when my food was served. Almost as a polite way to say "get out" my card was not returned to my table until I had to get up to ask for it back. I did not leave a tip because of the way I was treated, upon leaving a comment about my race and not leaving a tip was mentioned while I was still there. I will NEVER eat there again. By all means if you can get around an awful dining staff it is good place to eat. read more

I have eaten their pizza ever since the restaurant opened in the Bryn Athyn Shopping Center and, on most occassions, was satisfied. When they hit it right, it's some of the best pizza in the area. Delivery is usually pretty quick and the pies are often hot enough to eat without a second warmup. I do recommend them. read more

Just moved to the area and decided to give this joint a shot. Had ordered from another nearby place in Huntingdon Valley and was disappointed, but Franconi's delivered. Chicken Parm Pizza was cooked well, plenty of chicken and the crust was chewy but not dry. Caesar salad wasn't amazing, but it hit the spot as well. Will definitely order again soon. read more

I recently moved from a neighborhood with the best pizza place I've ever had. Now I live near this place. So I guess you could say my hopes were high. So Franconi's has let those hopes down. When I ordered over the phone, they completed my order with via debit card then I hung and began the wait. After 65 minutes I called back. "Oh I'm sorry sir when I put your card numbers up it declined..." well....like not only do I always have money in my checking...but wouldn't you have said that over the phone as you were punching them in. What, ya write em on a napkin then blow your nose and couldn't read it. My point is, had the card numbers been in immediately I would have known and could have resorted to cash. Then when I asked why I wasn't told this earlier, the person on the line said they had misplaced my phone number which is quite possibly the most ironic thing. I know I'm not the only one who has been chillin in front of the door and a pizza dude blows up my phone as soon as he shows up. So if my mans got lost with squidward delivering my pizza I wouldn't have even know. Today I got a pie that 18'inch. However upon measuring because I dumbfounded it was so small I realized I was ripped off and the price was higher. Then when I called back, their excuse was we ran out of 18'inch boxes . Yet somehow the pizza was even smaller inside. Lol, for customer service, especially on the delivery, I'd give less than one star if I could. The food, pretty average across the board. The only thing worth getting here IMO is the Stromboli. Franconis, become a strombolerria and maybe I'll order from you again. read more

Not bad at all! I ordered a buffalo chicken cheesesteak and a large pizza. The pizza had good crust but the sauce was too sweet for my personal liking. The buffalo chicken cheesesteak had a lotttt of blue cheese on it (some may like that), so much so that I could barely taste the hot sauce. It was also remarkably greasy and the roll totally disintegrated on the way home. The cashier spoke English though! That gets bonus points these days! read more

Normally we have no issues with this place but today we received our order to have it a mess. It looked like someone literally dropped the whole order. I ordered 1 slice of their plain pizza. There is no sitting area to eat the pizza inside. The slice was not my cup of tea. The crust is thick, and slightly burnt. The cheese/sauce was okay, not my favourite. It felt like I was eating mostly dried burnt bread. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't terrible. Just not my cup of tea. I understand some people love that brick oven crunchy burnt pizza taste. But I do not see myself returning. If the crust was a bit thinner I would have enjoyed it more. read more

My wife and I ordered a pizza and a chicken wrap. The order was incorrect but I will talk about the food we received. The first item was a pizza with broccoli and chicken. The crust was good but the pizza wasn't. It was runny and over cooked. My wife received a chicken wrap that was drowning in honey mustard with soggy lettuce and crunchy chicken. I've lived around here for 15 years and I have to say the food has improved in the last 3 years, when the rude fat sweaty Franconi guy sold it! This is a reasonable little place. While there is a small space for dine-in orders, take out or delivery is recommended. Standard pizzas are above average. The Stromboli is very good. Antipasto salad has generous portions, good seasoning, and reasonable pricing. White pizzas, however, are a bit bland. Service is courteous and attentive. Don't make your orders too customized....it's too much for them to handle. Multiple times for separate orders they have screwed up my order. From adding pepperoni instead of peppers for a vegetarian , an Italian salad apparently is Italian because it has provolone cheese no ham, and don't have more than one change for a Stromboli because you will be dissatisfied. For what it is, it's excellent! Just a non-descript Italian restaurant joint with great pizzas and very good lunch and dinner options. Make sure to get on their emailing list!
