Dr Lu was who I was referred to, and had the most top notch technology right in her office to easily see what was going on. It turned out it was a complex surgery to not only fix the cystic legion but I wanted to save my original tooth as I am a singer and definitely do not want any changes to my voice or waiting a whole year for an implant with a flip tooth. She did more than I could have ever expected. She maintained contact with me for months after and answered any issues I had during recovery. The ladies at the front desk are very polite and helpful in explaining all of the details of your treatment and visit. The dental assistants are very nice and cheerful and honest with you about the procedures they are performing. I did my due diligence of contacting my dental insurance and found out the percentage that they would cover. The problem was centered with the communication and explanation at the office. I had informed the receptionist of what my dental insurance stated they would covered, expecting that I would pay a certain percentage of the bill. She assured me that I'd be reimbursed the large amount I was being charged on my credit card. Sure enough when I called them weeks later, they stated that part of the procedure they did was not covered because it's a "special device." THIS is irritating as a consumer. They should be upfront and tell you what is and what isn't covered. It feels shady how they presented it because as a regular customer, we assume a root canal is a root canal and that the customer has been told what percentage they have to pay by their insurance company. If I knew that they use a "special device" that costs extra and is not covered by my insurance, then they should be upfront and not try to act that the customer will then be reimbursed the expected amount.
