Easily one of the best filet mignons I've ever had. Everyone at our table ordered one and agreed. The waitress was a bit pushy, but I still give this place five stars. My wife was a bit indecisive and the waitress seemed irritated. I ordered a salad and the waitress asked if I wanted it split and I said no. It came split. I also asked for something on the side, which didn't happen. That being said, like I said before, the food was great. It's a bit on the pricey side for us, but we are cheap.

We went for Valentine's Day. They had some specials in addition to the regular menu. We started off with drinks of course, then a dozen and a half of kumomuto oysters---outstanding. We had a cheese plate. Then we split a surf and turf, and a rib eye. Had broccoli rabe, truffle fries. We ordered the cheese cake and French brownie. All was good. Steak was delicious. Surprised surf n turf was not a lobster.

Came here for Valentine's Day with my wife and another couple. I haven't been here in years but remember my last experience as being excellent. Thank god things have not changed as they are still excellent! A good solid steakhouse with the usual steakhouse fare. Top notch food, service, and drinks. The entire staff could not be more polite. Freshest oysters I've ever had.

We have Morton's and also Benjamin's close to home; but Rye has a quaint feel that I like. Plus, when Mr. Man gets a craving for a great steak, he always comes here. According to my husband, F & J, delivers outstanding steaks every time. We've had dinner downstairs and feel it's more casual than their upstairs. In any case, our server (who waited on us several months ago), seemed frazzled by a party of 6 a few feet away from us. At one point, I was a bit ticked off and it downright felt, like we were not the flavor of the day- if you know what I mean. Getting his attention, was nearly impossible and seemed, he was at their beck and call the whole evening. Mind you, he'd have to bypass our table just to get to that bigger party. One of my cocktails, was pretty potent but tasted like a regular margarita, instead of peach or raspberry- that I wanted. Asking for the Cocktail Menu, was another wait and my patience was at zero. I don't want to woof down my food, in fact, I like to take my time. But damn......the wait was substantially long between Cocktails-Appetizers and Entrees. Things would run real smooth if he'd just said to us, "I'll be right back" or "is everything ok?"- something... anything at this point...just to keep communication flowing- but failed at that. To say the least, my Red Snapper was very good. And as I'm digging deeper in their reviews, I'd have to downgrade from my initial visit a couple years ago. Their disappointing service seems to come up every time. Service simply didn't match the complete feel of what Frankie & Johnnie's in Rye truly is. Listen, I'm not here just to talk smack about F & J because it must've been, an off night for Deen- and maybe...just maybe- I get it. But what I also do get, is that for any restaurant to be in upscale Rye, service has to be top-notch for EVERYBODY. Unfortunately, I'm gonna walk this one out with a 3.

I can go on and on about how great this place is , first off the drinks were so yummy I had one in particular that tasted like an apple pie . The service incredible they work so hard to make everyone happy especially during these unprecedented times ... I ordered the penne with chicken omg amazing and I've also had the rib eye and the flaming cheese appetizer in the past , All in all great scene, great food, great drinks , what more can you ask for

We had unsweetened iced teas, and the kids' seltzer came in a kid-sized cup. After ordering, we were served cornbread sticks, which were really good and a hit with my son. Elwood also brought crayons and paper for him, which was a thoughtful touch. We started with the gator nuggets and frickles. The gator nuggets were our favorite appetizer. The frickles were good, but the batter was fairly thick, which made the pickle flavor a little subtle. For my entrée, I had the fried chicken with collard greens and mac and cheese. The chicken was nicely crispy and came with four pieces, though it was a little overcooked for my taste. The collard greens were on the sweet side, and the mac and cheese could have used a bit more flavor. The highlight of our visit was the service. Elwood was friendly, attentive, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without being overbearing. Overall, the food was a bit mixed for us, but the excellent service, family-friendly touches, and pleasant outdoor seating made for an enjoyable experience. We'll be back to try some of the other menu items.

The soup was delicious and isn't on the regular menu but instead a special item. We tried the Cuban sandwich and the Steak sandwich both with the sweet potato fries. The bar looked like it was full of regulars. The staff were very friendly. This hidden gem is a must try!

The service was good and our server Flavio was very, very nice. The place is very quaint and quiet. I loved the breeze coming through the open windows. It was so New England. The food was okay. It wasn't bad but I've had better at other steakhouses. We ordered appetizers of bacon, clams oreganata, and Caesar salad. Our meal consisted of salmon and mashed potatoes; Bronzino and mashed potatoes; penne al a vodka; and filet mignon with mashed potatoes. Everyone who had the mashed potatoes said they were fire. I didn't care too much for the twist of my penne al a vodka though. My husband cleaned his plate of his Bronzino and broccoli. My granddaughter ate half of her filet mignon and took the rest home. She said it was good.

A1 staff, A1 service. Now let's get to the food. We started the night the right way with grilled shrimp and French onion soup both crazy. And if there's a ribeye on the menu, I'm ordering it every time. This one did not disappoint: perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, with the best fucking sear I've had in a minute. For sides, I went with the home fries cooked in duck fat with chives. The fries were so good I wanted to attend the funeral of whatever duck they used, out of pure respect. Can't wait to go back and work through the rest of the menu. No complaints. Zero misses.

Its been around since the mid 70's. Not too long ago I ran a half marathon up in Rye along with a friend of mine running in her 100th half. She had a post race celebration party here which was catered and on their back patio. Nicely done, the food was tasty and the beer nice and cold.
