Grew up near this restaurant and still love going there all the time. Awesome menu, awesome staff and the food is great. The prices have not gone up as high as most places these days. Great local restaurant.

First timer review. Its a older restaurant and nothing flashy or pretentious, very very casual. We sat in the dining room they also have a bar side. Our waitress was beyond pleasant and nice she was very attentive and helpful with the menu. She said they make their dough in house and shred all their own cheese. We tried the homemade breadsticks which were very airy and light. I personally didn't like the marinara sauce that comes with it, but the breadstick was so good you didn't need it! We also tried six of the garlic Parmesan wings. They came out piping hot. They were delicious. I would definitely order those again. For our meals, we had a veggie calzone with the garlic butter baked in, and my fiancé had the meatball calzone with marinara sauce baked in. Both were very good and it was huge. I would definitely go back for pizza and wings and a beer type of place. They also had dinners on their menu. I can't speak to how those are because we went with the recommendation of the waitress.

Love this place! We have been going here for years. Very big portions and good prices. Casual atmosphere and always a great meal.

Because our favorite restaurant closes at 3 because they don't have waitstaff, we went to the next closest Italian restaurant. The place is clean, close to home and friendly. What is lacking is the garlic and sauce aroma wafting over my senses. I ordered baked cod with spinach and artichoke and a side of pasta. What I got was poached tasteless cod with steamed spinach and artichoke and tasteless marinara. My spouse ordered lasagna. He generally likes tasteless but this was even lower than that. The food was not bad ; it just wasn't good. I told my daughter about our experience. She told me to only go there for pizza and hoagies. I will return, but only for pizza!

    Very homey and comfy atmosphere!

This place is a gem! The interior reminds me of an italian home of the 80's, very cozy. The wedding soup is superior, best in town, filked with fresh chicken and meatballs!! The buf wings were made fresh and spicy! Simply delicious!

Veggie calzone- we replaced the green peppers with spinach

It's a really good local bar restaurant. They have an older friendly crowd in the bar and the restaurant side is perfect for families.

Let's eat together & celebrate my MIL's birthday…read more A little slice of Italy in McMurray South Hills of Pittsburgh. Craft cocktails (OMG...the SPRITZ options) & artisan wines meet an ever-changing Italian menu, all served in an effortlessly upscale setting. Perfect for date night, birthdays, or any special occasion. Pro tip: If you're celebrating, let them know!!! They'll add the guest of honor's name to the menu and the chalkboard above the kitchen. It is such a thoughtful, personal touch. Wine pick: a bottle of Zenato Valpolicella Ripassa (a must if you love red) What I ordered: smoked provolone, casa salad, cacio e pepe, chicken piccata Finished with a birthday chocolate cake...absolutely delicious Save this spot for your next celebration! 3.5 stars. Long, detailed review... Arlecchino Ristorante is a casual-elegant Italian restaurant…read morethat is uniquely inside a one-room schoolhouse that was built in 1907. This restaurant is open for dinner and catering for dining in and takeout. It has many of the same menu items as its excellent sister restaurant Alla Famiglia. Each meal includes bread and oil, optional appetizers (e.g., meatball and mussels diavolo), a first course of salad and pasta, the chosen main course (e.g., chicken marsala, cacciatore, veal chop, and filet mignon), and then if desired dessert. Alcoholic beverages (e.g., cocktails, wines, and beers) are also available. For my husband's and my wedding anniversary, I made a reservation for Arlecchino through OpenTable. We arrived shortly after they opened for the day. Our first impressions: Valet was required for our vehicle. We felt interested in seeing the exterior and remodeled interior of the schoolhouse. Most of the restaurant was empty then, but the seating hostess took us to the worst table--the smallest table inches from the front door. I requested a different table, and she then gave us a much better one. OpenTable had said that the dress code was business casual, but other customers wore casual clothes, and a hostess wore shorts and a baggy sweatshirt hoodie. Our names were written on a chalkboard above the kitchen and on my menu but not my husband's menu. Our waiter provided timely service and spoke courteously with us. (If you are wondering how to pronounce the restaurant's name, he told me something like are-lee-kee-no or our-lee-key-no.) Here are my ratings for what my husband and I ate: Autumn Spritz - 4 stars - This spritz contained apple cider, Marie Brizard Apry, prosecco, and soda, and I liked its flavors. Smoked Provolone - 2 stars - Smoked provolone was topped with black truffles and arugula. Neither my husband nor I liked this appetizer. I took two bites, and he tried to eat half. Casa Salad - 4.5 stars - This salad consisted of mixed greens, roasted peppers, raisins, walnuts, olives, gorgonzola, and slightly too much vinaigrette. Caesar Salad - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this salad, and he said that it was his favorite food in the entire meal. Cavatappi Alla Vodka - 4 stars - My husband ate this pasta, and I took one bite, and I thought that it tasted good. Cacio E Pepe - 4 stars - Months ago at Alla Famiglia, we loved the locatelli romano cheese wheel at the tableside, so we felt excited to try it at Arlecchino. The waiter definitely mixed the linguini, cream, oil, and pepper in the cheese wheel. This cacio e pepe tasted good but not as great as what we remember from Alla Famiglia. Halibut - 3.5 stars - My main course was this special menu item. The halibut tasted bland but was served with black-tiger shrimp, carrots, tomatoes, zucchini, cauliflower, and butternut squash that added some nice flavors. I did not know the price for this fish until I saw the bill, and it was $72. Veal monzu - 4 stars - The veal was nicely breaded and fried and topped with mozzarella, jumbo lump blue crab, pine nuts, and lemon butter. My husband ate it, and my one taste-test bite indicated that it was flavorful. My husband was not interested in trying dessert, so we skipped it. Our total bill was $178 plus tax, tip, and a credit-card surcharge. Comparatively, I think that Alla Famiglia has significantly better food, but Arlecchino is worth a try.

Went to Carbonara's again with a group of friends, sitting at the circle table at the end as usual…read more The chicken and eggplant parm are both really good, and the tomato sauce deserves a special mention because it is very flavorful. I don't typically like fried foods, but they do it well here, crispy without being heavy. The waitresses truly feel like family, which is one of the best parts of coming back. The pizza in my opinion is just alright. While the cheese and crust have a good texture, the overall flavor of the pizza itself lacks flavor, and the cheese is a bit too oily and tends to slide off. They also go pretty light on the toppings, to the point where you can barely tell they're there, which is disappointing since the pizza already lacks flavor. Ordering a tossed salad helped because it comes with pepperoncini, which you can squeeze over the pizza to add some much needed flavor. Dipping the pizza in their house made Italian dressing actually works surprisingly well too, and I really love their Italian dressing. That said, charging $13 for a tossed salad made mostly of iceberg lettuce doesn't really match the more reasonable prices for other items on the menu here, even if the dressing is great. Overall, I'd definitely recommend the eggplant parm if that's your thing, but I'm not sure I'm sold on everything else on the menu. The wedding soup could also be more flavorful than it was.

We sat at the bar and service was fantastic as always, as they brought the food every dish keep…read moregetting better ,loved the Marsala sauce and red clam sauce, ready to get it again
