We had to rekey our kwikset lock so we went to Lowes for new cut keys. They said that they could only copy keys and for new keys, I would need to call a locksmith. Phenomenal service that's quick, economical and 5 stars! Not only did I need a new key made ASAP, but Frank agreed to meet me half way and made it to the agreed upon location 5 minutes early. The hatchback keyless lock on my older car failed. The dealership service was unable to find replacement parts and suggested purchasing from ebay. Did that and the merchanic said that part failed too. Not being able to access trunk space, spare tire, etc was unacceptable. Service advisor recommended Frank's Lock & Key. Frank arrived quickly and was extremely helpful. Repaired my front door lock explaining that it had not been installed properly. When I let him in through garage door he noticed the knob needed tightening and quickly did this. Showed him our broken sliding glass door lock. Said it was not repairable but that he would provide an estimate in a few days for new lock installation. This is a bit late, but still, like I've promised to this nice guy, here's the review: I have an old 2001 VW Jetta and my key just snapped right on the base, which is an unusual and kinda tricky place for it to happen. Frank got to where I was in a couple of hours and made a new one in less than 15 min, however, it did not fit! That's cause, weirdly enough, my old key was not precisely cut and had specifications different from the lock & ignition. Long story short, after a lot of trial and error, patience and 6 keys, Frank figured what the problem was - instead of just leaving me there - and solved it without charging extra, even if the job was annoying, took longer than it should and costed him extra. So like he said, I hope I never need to see him again - but if the time comes, I just have the right phone number on my contacts! read more

Having trouble with your lock? Call Frank! He promptly showed up the next day, worked with me to fit my schedule. My electronic mailbox locked itself. It's something that isn't supposed to happen but it did. He managed to get it open and take the inside cover off where we discovered the workings of the problem. A stuck lever of some sort. It is an old mailbox, 2004 ETL, but these supposedly last forever. There is a backup unlocking option which involves a special key which I did not have. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me to get a lock smith on it. In a nut shell, he took out the key lock and hopefully I will be getting a completely new one from the manufacturer which will have it's own master key. Problem solved. So, I was at Costco in SF on Saturday. I had left my jacket in my cart while grabbing a case of Gatorade. I didn't notice at first, only until I was checking out, someone had swiped my jacket.
