It wasn't crowded at all, which made the whole experience relaxed and easy. Bonus: gas was only $2.88/gallon for regular, which felt like a steal compared to some other spots nearby. The interior could probably benefit from some fresh paint and a little updating, but it also had that nostalgic charm that diners sometimes have. It wasn't dirty at all--in fact it was clean overall--but everything felt a bit worn and dated. At one point I even noticed one of the registers was missing the credit card scanner, which gave the whole setup a slightly "held together with experience" vibe. My wife even joked that the place made her a little nervous and said she might prefer Waffle House instead--which is saying something! But we decided to stick it out and give it a fair try. And honestly, we're really glad we did. We went all in on the breakfast menu. I ordered the Lumberjack Slam, which is basically the "everything possible on one plate" breakfast.
