They always have my order correct and so hot that I actually have to wait to eat it. I've never been more impressed with a delivery place.

Great roadside stop with friendly service and competitive gas!…read more Stopped here around 1 PM on a road trip, and this Wawa was a perfect pit stop. The store was spotless--everything from the floors to the restrooms looked freshly cleaned. The staff were super nice and welcoming, even though it was lunchtime. Service was lightning quick; I ordered a custom hoagie and coffee, and it was ready in no time despite a few other customers. It wasn't crowded at all, which made the whole experience relaxed and easy. Bonus: gas was only $2.88/gallon for regular, which felt like a steal compared to some other spots nearby. Definitely recommend this location for travelers--clean, efficient, and friendly vibes all around. Will stop again next time I'm passing through!

At this particular location, the customer service was awesome. I went to the cashier to pay for my hoagie. She let me know it would be cheaper to buy the hoagie with chips and a drink due to their special, rather than buying the hoagie alone. The restroom was okay. It could have used some cleaning but it wasn't terrible. During the time I was there, it was super busy. The soda machine area could have used some cleaning up. Gotta love Wawa!

We stopped at Denny's near Great Wolf Lodge, and you can literally see it from the Great Wolf…read moreparking lot, which made it a super convenient choice. This was actually my first time ever eating at a Denny's, so I went in curious to see what the experience would be like. First impressions: the parking lot could definitely use a little TLC, and the exterior of the building looks like it has seen a lot of years and a lot of travelers passing through. That said, when we arrived on a Tuesday morning the place was surprisingly busy, which is usually a good sign for a breakfast spot. Walking inside, the restaurant had that classic old-school diner feel. You could tell the place has been around for a while. The interior could probably benefit from some fresh paint and a little updating, but it also had that nostalgic charm that diners sometimes have. It wasn't dirty at all--in fact it was clean overall--but everything felt a bit worn and dated. At one point I even noticed one of the registers was missing the credit card scanner, which gave the whole setup a slightly "held together with experience" vibe. My wife even joked that the place made her a little nervous and said she might prefer Waffle House instead--which is saying something! But we decided to stick it out and give it a fair try. And honestly, we're really glad we did. We went all in on the breakfast menu. I ordered the Lumberjack Slam, which is basically the "everything possible on one plate" breakfast. My wife ordered a breakfast burrito, and the kids went with pancakes and a waffle. The food ended up being surprisingly great. The coffee was excellent--exactly what you want from a diner: hot, strong, and constantly refilled. The pancakes were actually better than the ones we've had at IHOP, which was a pleasant surprise. Everything else on the Lumberjack Slam was solid too. Bacon and eggs are hard to mess up, but they were cooked well. The sausage links were great, and the ham was fantastic--a really nice, thick slice that stood out compared to typical diner portions. The real surprise of the meal, though, was the waffle the kids ordered. It was absolutely amazing. Somehow it was crispy and soft at the same time, and it had a subtle sweetness to it that made it stand out. Honestly, it's easily one of the top two waffles I've ever had, which is not something I expected to say walking into a random diner. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and they kept everything running smoothly even with the restaurant being fairly busy. They also did a good job keeping the dining area clean and organized. So overall, here's the honest takeaway: The building definitely shows its age and could use some updating, but the place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food was genuinely excellent. Sometimes the most unassuming diners end up serving the best breakfasts, and this felt like one of those situations. If you're staying at Great Wolf Lodge and want a solid, satisfying breakfast just a minute away, this Denny's is absolutely worth stopping by.

Yesterday, my friend and I took a bike ride around town, and then stopped in for an appetizer and a beverage. It was about 2:30 on the afternoon on a Friday, yet there was a nice gathering of folks enjoying themselves. We were promptly served, and left alone while we browsed the menu. My friend ordered the blackened ahi tuna starter, which she proclaimed bright with flavor and prepared exactly as requested (extra rare). I chose the cream of crab soup, which might be the best I've ever eaten, full of huge lumps of crab meat, delicately flavored with Old Bay, but not too salty. I would've preferred it a tad thinner, but it was not too thick to enjoy. Since I love meatballs, I also ordered the Margherita meatballs, and they were delicious! Three medium sized meatballs, tasting like your Italian Nonna made them, with a rich Sunday sauce and a sprinkling of parmesan. Yum yum yum. My friend and I also decided to splurge on a plate of onion rings, neither of us having had them for a long while. They came out overdone (or left under a lamp too long) and were burned around the edges. One bite and yuck. No worries, our bartender said she'd get them to make us another plate. The second plate came out looking perfectly, and we enjoyed a few, however, they were rather bland and lacked some flavor. Nonetheless, our experience was delightful and our dissatisfaction with the onion rings was not enough to take off a star from my rating. Havre de Grace is a charming small town at the base of the Susquehanna River where it meets the Chesapeake Bay. Come visit, browse the cute shops, and stop in Coakley's for some delicious food, expert cocktails and local energy.

After caffeinating at the Starbucks, it was time for a snack!…read more Ordered a two piece spicy chicken (one dark, one white meat), a biscuit, and mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy and a small Diet Coke. Chicken was tender, nice crisp skin, and a nice spice level to it. The biscuit was flaky and good, and the mashed potatoes were savory and hot. Why only three stars? The dining area was absolutely filthy - to the point of being gross. If I ever come in here again and it's like this - I'll get my food to go. C'mom HMSHost - you can do a better job cleaning and maintaining the area!

As I have said before I love Popeyes…read more This is a special one to me, as it actually resides in a rest stop on 95 when you first get to Maryland. It is part of the Chesapeake House Plaza. This is the most efficient Popeye's I've ever been to. Sunday, November 15th my friend and I stopped and were determined to get chicken after my last debacle happened. We had popeye's on the brain. First of all this is almost a self service type of Popeye's. BUT you can tell the person behind the counter what you're looking for i.e. 5 piece chix fingers, or spicy vs mild (if its not already out they pop it in a box lickity split!). And the sides are all pre sorted and packaged ready for you to grab and go. The menu is a little bit limited, but not lacking for anything I wanted. Large orders of chix, chix fingers, rice and beans, just rice, pies, bottled water. AMAZING. 5 STARS This is the way Popeye's should be. Hot, fresh, and QUICK. There were at least 20 people in line, and we were back with pups eating in the car within 8 minutes! It was so packed the burger place next door was yelling 'i have no line and can help you now'. My friend looks at him and says 'what do your burgers have to do with me? I'm in line for chicken." Hilarious. Besides this rest stop being the best on 95- this Popeye's is the best I've ever been to, always and I look forward stopping there!
