I like this place for the atmosphere, the service, and the vodka sauce. It's always full of families and little league teams on Friday nights, and there is plenty of seating. The pizza is pretty good, but the real star is the penne with vodka sauce. They have dinner specials too and those are pretty solid. Went in 1.5 hrs before they close tonight. Wanted to get some slices to go. They had no one eating at the restaurant and limited selection of pizza already made. Asked for pepperoni; the most popular slice of pie in America. They had none and were unwilling to make any. I'm done with with this place. read more

This was an awful dining experience. First of all, they don't accept debit or credit cards, only cash and checks. Might want to catch up to 2019 there guys. No one carries cash anymore. So the table where we were seated was just gross. We asked the server if they could wipe it off for us. You'd have thought I asked her to lick it clean, given the look she gave us. At any rate, the table was eventually wiped down. We ordered a large pepperoni, figuring that's a pretty good indicator of how the rest of their pizza will be. The sauce was thin and oily, the pepperoni were sort of waxy-tasting, the cheese tasted like it was powdered, then reconstituted with hot dog water, and the crust was tasteless. We will not be back. Also, a man had a heart attack in the restaurant while dining with his family, and was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. An employee of the store pestered the wife for days on end asking them to...wait for it...come back and take care of their bill from the night of the heart attack! It got so bad that the man himself got on the phone and was met with name-calling from the employee. They should be ashamed. The lack of any shred of decency, coupled with awful pizza, make this a dining destination EVERYONE should avoid. Good riddance! read more

Our neighbor recommended Frank's Pizza and we are so glad they did! We ordered two pies to try - one plain and 1/2 pepperoni and a thick crust round vodka pie. They were amazing! The plain/pepperoni pizza had great crust - a nice crunch with a soft center. The vodka pie was huge and the sauce was delicious. Having just moved my mothering law to the area we are on the quest to find a good pizza/ restaurant to replace her favorite one. We read the reviews and thought it was a good place to start. The staff is friendly, our waitress was cute and bubbly. Now to the food. To us it was ok not great. The pizza was good thin crust and well done, the salads were just ok. Grandma had ziti in marinara sauce which she complained was too runny and watery, I had eggplant rollantini which could have been put under the broiler, it was just way to pale to be inviting, the ravioli was just ok. Franks has a vast variety of pizzas to choose from when you go in, there all made and put out on display. There also have garlic knots and rice balls. I've had both their Bruchetta pizza as well as their BBQ chicken pizza. There both great and a good amount of their pizzas have a really thick crust, which is great if you like that sort of thing. As for the actually place, there service was friendly and you get the feeling that this is an Italian pizzeria. I generally come here to grab some lunch sit in a booth and read my nook. Never had a problem, and it tend to get busier around 12:40 so try to get in earlier if you're trying to beat the lunch crowd The one thing is that wrong in the info is that they do NOT except credit. Went off the listing here on yelp and was lucky that I actually had cash in my wallet, since I rarely do with the convenience of paying with credit. I came here for lunch after a suggestion. I've always known it was here but easily forgotten about since its so tucked away along the stip of other shops here. The resturant is nice and spacious with booths and a few tables. The counter guys were pleasant and there were about 4 guys working so service was pretty swift. They bring the food to the table for you too. I got the baked penne and my friend got the calzone I think. Both were very sizable portions and with 2 bottled drinks was slightly under $20. The penne was saucy and cheesy and calzone looked like it had plenty in it, like a giant hot pocket. I'd like to try the pizza next time. What hurts this place though is cash only. There is an ATM and a small sign at the register that tells you, but its really an inconvenience and pet peeve of mine. read more

Food is delicious - we had pizza slices and split a chicken parm sandwich on very fresh bread Frank's tomato sauce is truly delightful, the place is cheerful and quiet enough for enjoyable conversation. If you've been to other Frank's Pizzas and were underwhelmed, don't expect the same from this one. While it's a franchise, some Frank's Pizzas are better than others. This is a good one! I've been eating here at least a few times a month for about 26 years, and never had a bad meal. The same couple has been running the place for the whole time: consistent quality. While their plain pie is very good, it's actually my least favorite choice. It needs at least some sausage or pepperoni, to for me. However, many of their specialty pies are spectacular. The white, grandma's, and fresh-mutz/vodka-sauce slices are top shelf. I've heard good things about the salad pie, but they don't always make it. They also serve some of the best Italian entrees in the area. Anything parmesan, Fettuccini Alfredo, Chicken Francese are awesome. The way they prepare their grilled chicken for topping a salad is so different from anywhere else. Their cheesesteaks make anything I've had in Philly seem cheap and amateurish. The quality is way above the price range. Even quick bites like calzones, pizza rolls, sausage rolls, soups and garlic knots are some of the best around. Some complain about them not taking credit cards. I should point out that this is common for some of the best restaurants. The fact that they've been doing this for 25+ years should tell you just how good they are. Ever heard of Peter Luger's? Many of the best places do this. It's 2019 and time to accept credit cards, folks. Suck up the 2 1/2%. Hate that they have a limited selection of "side" pastas (only spaghetti, linguini or penne) although they sell complete dinners using others pastas (which are apparently pre-made, reheated dishes. Eek). My favorite pastas, cappalleni or angel hair, are a complete no-go. The only reason this isn't one star is because the pizza, WHEN FRESH (and it often isn't!) isn't half bad and the Chicken Calabrese is pretty good. Ordered a pie recently and it was horrible (probably because it was ordered so late in the evening) but it was clearly an old pie and tasted awful. We have been faithful customers for years so this was very disappointing, we threw it out and called Franks to let them know. The manager apologized and told us to come in to get a new pie for free. We took him up on that offer however after that experience we decided to give Fortissimo (not far away) a try and have been hooked ever since. They're a little pricier but it's worth it.
